Apart from being egotistical tyrants, Henley & Frey were petty as hell. In the "Hotel California" album, Don Felder was given first writing credit, followed by Henley & Frey. By the time the song was re-released on "Hell Freezes Over" in the 90s, Felder's name was pushed down to third place behind Henley & Frey. I have the original LP from the 70s. Felder's name is right up there in front.

God bless you Steve and thank you for sharing your talent with the world. I put the headphones on and drift away to your voice. Thank you for that. Same feeling as Sinatra, Whitney Houston, Sam Cooke, The Temptations , Celine Dion and so many more. Thank you for the gift of music

My son was born with a guitar in his hand, but Prince was not on his radar when took his girlfriend to LA to see him. When he got home, he looked at me and grinned, and said, "Dad, that fucker is..." He just shook his head and said, "No effects to speak of. And he can... Goddamn, he can PLAY! And if youre in the 3rd row center, he can steal your girlfriend."

Thank you for posting this video. Divina Celeste was my #1 Penthouse model, so incredibly beautiful and elegant. Great to see as a loving, nurturing mother and wife. I still peruse her 1982 layout. Age 17 when first viewed Divina's Penthouse spread -- had an amazing effect on me. Fan for life. Feeling blessed having eyesight to appreciate a person so strikingly gorgeous as Divina Celeste.🥰

Jeff didn't have the ability to make songs. There's really few guitarists who couldn't make songs themselves. So he should have asked someone to make his songs. He had no his original songs in his life.

Obviously, the Doobie Brothers had made their mark in the music industry prior to Michael joining them. Personally, I never cared for the DBs prior to Michael McDonald joining the group. I’m glad they had the business sense to make it work. His voice is like no other and gave the group new life. Fan base increased, record sales, concert tickets etc. When the group decided to take a break, Michael’s career took off like wildfire. His first album and all the collaborations with some of the giants in the industry. He is definitely recognized as one of the all time top male vocalist.

In this age off MMA, there are lots of stories of bullies who think they’re going to steamroll a victim, and it doesn’t go their way… There is a great one on UA-cam about two smallish guys in a public, I think it was a bar, bathroom, and 2 preppy looking, quite a bit bigger, Oklahoma college football players were picking on the guys, and the 2 regular dudes really put the hurt on the football players… It usually takes one guy to stand up against the bully, especially if he busts the bully up a little, and you will see what is called and attitude adjustment.

I liked the Head Games album. To me, it sounds like they just wanted a smaller band so Mick could take more control of the band and get paid more. Once you have that name brand recognition with three strong albums and a good live following, you can call the shots.

Here's a Factoid: Even though the Yardbirds released Heart Full of Soul in Britain a full month before Keith Richards even wrote "Satisfaction", their Label Epic didn't release Heart Full of Soul in the USA until a month after the Stones had already released Satisfaction there! In fact to this day a great number of American fans think it was the Stones and not the Yardbirds who unleashed the Fuzz on the world!

Guys and girls on the Westside of Jacksonville settled disputes with their fist. You run that gator to someone back in the day, you better be able to back it up. Redneck girls would instigate boys to fight in school, and when drinking at parties or bars. It was taken very seriously if you disrespected a girl or a guy in public. Ronnie was not a monster or a bully. Ronnie had heart, and would never take crap off of anyone. Respect was not taken lightly back in the day. Dads would tell you to fight or make friends. But never back down under no circumstances. I got in fights with kids that would stand out in the yard with their parents coaching them. The boys in the band that grew up with Ronnie on the Westside , knew if you messed with the bull, you got the horns. Ronnie was a medium sized guy, that was strong and fast. If someone shot you the middle finger, you would slam on the brakes and run them down and fight them. That was the way it was back them. Gary tells stories of many times Ronnie protected the guys in bar fights, with the rednecks that did not like their hippy long hair looks. All of the band members drank and partied. The truth be known, the times they talked about Ronnie fighting them, is probably because they had too much to drink and ran their mouths at Ronnie. If you wrote a check to Ronnie, you better be ready to cash it! Artimus Pyle never wanted none of Ronnie. He helped Get Ronnie off Allen and Gary in a hotel room one time. As the leader of the band, Ronnie didnt care if you partied , but if you got wasted and couldnt perform at the level you should, he ripped you a new one. Sometimes ending in a fight, if you took it personal enough to go to the wood shed out back. That is why Ronnie ask Gene Odom to come help tame the partying down some on the road . A few of the guys had quit the band because Ronnie ruled with an Iron fist at times. He realized Gene was sober all the time, and it was not the best idea for him to handle the boys under the influence of whiskey and coke.. Gene was there to keep things from getting crazy when the band was in party mode and off the chain.
