Florida Bobcat checking out our bird feeder!
Good review. That gun is pushing the maximum size for that bag. I’m going to get one and check fit of different guns in it. As a Florida guy I understand the challenge of carrying in hot weather.
DC is rated at 800 N=1/2 hp.
That 2nd door on the right looks like an 8' door!
My shafts are short. There is only 3/8" from the cotter pin.
I tried my 2-10" doors using a Genie Screw Drive 2 H.P. and it only open it 6 '. When I tried it again, I heard the screw slip. I used 2x4x12 wood. The doors seem to hang up on the far ends, causing drag. I may have to try the steel that you used, or 3/4" pipe to be rigid. Thanks!
The only thing that stopped me using it was that they are not homelink compatible.
Hello. I have two 8x9’ roll up doors that is set up just like yours. The garage door openers I am looking at are from 1/2 hp to 1 1/4 hp. How much hp is your door rated at and what would you suggest?
Hi..the opener I used was 1.25 horse..to be honest I would go with the roll up door style opener like in my other video..its cheaper and easier to install and work well...good luck..either route you take.
Thank you for your comments. Unfortunately, my doors have a live axle, not a dead axle like yours. This makes it harder with far fewer choices ($$) when it comes to motors that work with that type of axle. I would have to do extensive modifications to the door to make motors like the one you went with on your other video work.
Hey could you tell me if the thickness of the slide is a thicker heavier metal then the upper lock slide which is light duty... thin ...flimsy ... thank you
Need help setting remote

Any way to adapt this to a regular garage door? I have two jackshaft style garage doors on my home. I would like to install two more in my workshop. But they are pricey. I was curious if there appeared to be any way to make these work. Thanks
I can't really say if it would work..rollup doors a fairly light so weight may be an issue..if you have room for the unit to fit on the jackshaft then possibly...thanks
Seems a bit slow to raise and lower the door.
What is the machine name and where is possible to buy ? Thanks
Roll up door opener..I got mine on ebay..been a year or so ago.
Very cool 😎 I enjoyed it.
Just spent 3 days and about 450$ trying to do this. Bought metal and a welding machine to make a custom brackets etc. Instead of it working the bottom of the doors twist at various positions. While it seems cool after doing ot on mine I would not recommend trying this. You could easily wind up putting it all in just to be taking it all out. I get 7 days off ever 3 month and this not only wasted my money but 3 out of 7 days off. Roll up doors are not made for this.
Looks like a nice set up but my door has nothing in the end of it
those are 256$ = 100n right now for 1 of them on ebay, unless you get the really weak one at around 150$ = 250N i think i would rather do what you did on the other 2 doors. 1 motor 2 doors
Check mine out ua-cam.com/video/ZWBWL-BC2JU/v-deo.html
vever makes one for 130.00 each free shipping
do not buy it around launch dude
Excellent Review. Just ordered one. Thank You Sir 👍🏼
Just did this for my two 10x9 doors. Instead of angle I used a treated 2x4x12. Works perfect with my genie 1.25hp belt drive.
I bought a ps5 and no problems at all it's I've had it since Christmas and still no problems.
Outstanding review. Yes indeed in hot weather this is the ticket. Remember Smooth is Fast!
Hmi port is pushed in gotta break it down resaut it
So it's been a year, how is it holding up?
It was still working fine when I replaced it with the newer style in my other video..the newer ones are made for that kind of door and are cheaper and take up less room to function..thanks
Im think HDMI port is broken.
How is this still doing for you? Any issues? Any danger or hazards with the chain drive and it being so accessible? Do you have a list of everything you used to do this? I want to do the same thing
To be honest..I would go with the opener in my other video..they work better and are made for this kind of door..and are cheaper as well..my setup still works well..had some balance issues with 2 doors.
I saw the other one too but my roll up door doesn’t have the same end as the one in your other video so I thought this style would work better. Apparently my doors are not set up to have openers used. Something about the brackets or something. I will only be opening one door. It’s a 10x10 I have a second door but I don’t want that side to open every time. So with that in mind do you think this garage door opener style will work better for just the one 10x10 door?
@@Roba22 not sure about 1 door operation..with 2..they balance each other with the opener in the middle..on 1 door all the torque would be on one side most likely to bind up..unless you can stabilize it..good luck.
Does it have an automatic lock feature? It seems as though you could force the door open
Mine doesn't move at all when lifting by hand..unless you pull the cord for free spin..you can also still use the slide locks on the bottom of the door.
Literally not gonna lie mine would not start.. and my ps5 didnt either.. Thankfully they replaced them both with new ones.. but I sold my xbox series x and havent tried to start my PS5 replacement :(
Does the new ps5 work?
Hope your xbox is still working. Bad hdmi cable?
After much thought..I decided to keep it..it's still working fine..I believe the problem is the hdmi port itself is out of alignment.
@@bobfrakes5552 you need to send that back it will fail later down the line prolly just outside warranty its not seated correctly and the warm up and cool down cycles will break the solder joint connection.
please come back
Is it still working after 9 months?
Yes..still working well..no issues.
Thank you I have an ‘off use’ project that I believe would benefit from one of these but hadn’t seen one in actual use.
No safety eye? Does it reverse if it hits anything
Yes..it will reverse if it hits something.
What size is the shop?
Mine is 30 x 45 feet
@@bobfrakes5552 sorry I didnt pay attention in the video
on a side not, is that double bubble insulation? If so do you think it made a difference?
@@bp211 ..yes..double bubble insulation..in my opinion it does make a difference..I live in south Florida with direct sun most of the day...that being said..it still gets hot inside but is tolerable.. not an oven.
Any issues withe the spring tension in the door drum when you first loosened the u bolt from the jack shaft/did you have to do anything to keep it from unloading?
The shaft is secured on both ends..I left the other end tightened down so it wouldn't unload.
@@bobfrakes5552 I have springs on both sides. The u bolt screws are painted red on both sides as well. Seems my u bolts are keeping the spring tension. Is yours similar?
My set up has u bolts on both ends as well..if both ends are loosened then the springs would unload..if one end is kept tight on the shaft it can't unload..I also had a strap around the door so it could not turn..your setup may be different so I can only tell you be careful and if you are unsure of your setup do some research on it or hold off altogether..thanks
@@bobfrakes5552 Well unfortunately I found out with a separate spring on each side, each saddle/u bolt is keeping tension. Figures, Im the one to have the complicated set up lol. Appreciate your time answering my questions. Take care sir.
Great video, I'm wondering if the jack shaft on your door came long enough to move the bracket out far enough to mount the motor between the door and bracket or did you have to extend the jack shaft. The doors that I have only have about 1" of the jack shaft protruding through the brackets on either side, so an extension of some sort would have to be fabricated. Thanks for any info.
Yes..mine were long enough to just move the bracket over and mount the opener between..an extension on your jack shaft may be your only option.
Mine also only has a little nub of pipe sticking out
@@bobfrakes5552 great video I have been looking at those is your door and building Carolina carports. I also found if took the slide locks at the bottom off it goes up and down smoothly. I am going to try them after watching your video thank you Terry vero beach fl.
@@terrencegiordan2775..yes. my building is Carolina Carports...I left the slide locks on..doesn't seem to affect mine...good luck!
@@bobfrakes5552 thanks you had no problems with the plastic gears in the doors. I had overhead garage doors give me an estimate it crazy 3,200 for two doors they are crazy.everybody that looks at my doors can't believe that they used plastic gears Thanks again
The same thing is going on with my series s.
Very convenient I enjoyed it. And for 1-1/4 hp perfect for two doors this size 😎😎
I hope u will see my comment. How did u cost? And where did u broght? Thanks
Its all in the video..got it on ebay...think I paid about 160 for it then.
Is your rail system anchor straight to the concrete?
Yes
Is that the style garage door that doesn't come with a chain pulley set-up that you have to manually push up with your hands like at storage facilities?
Yes
I would still send it back if you haven't. That port will likely fail eventually because it probably isn't seated properly. You paid good money and deserve a console that functions without issue.
Exactly this ^^^^^^^
Do you know if you want to change the door force setting to make door rebound with little pressure is lower number or higher number?
From looking at the manual..the lower the number the lower the force..9 being max force..1 being the least..is how I understood it.
@@bobfrakes5552 thanks I cannot find my book.
@@bobfrakes5552 if you would like to be able to open or close door through wifi and get notifications on phone check out "meross msg 200"
Are they dimmable?
I don't believe they are.
I am looking into this opener, and I am wondering if it comes with the side mount bracket? Also my sprocket does not have holes on it or in it? Any idea how I would have the opener mount to the sprocket?
As far as I know the only way to mount this is on the jack shaft..not sure it will work for you. Unless you're willing to cut holes in the door drum.
@@bobfrakes5552 I am okay with cutting into the drum. I am wondering does the opener come with a mount that goes to the wall that the roller sits on? My mount is a plate with a hole in the middle that the shaft goes in. I hope this makes sense.
I know mine didn't come with any extra mounting options...if you checkout the opener on ebay ..it shows the mounting process and clearances.
How did you mount the garage door opener to the wall?
Yes...right to the steel frame..with L brackets that held it an inch or so off the frame.
Update?
There is an update video.
I going to gueet one because I see those gun oldsters and I am fat boy not too fat but yes I like. Ribs and beer jaaaa and I see that option and is a yesss man I live here I miami homestead And thing going letter crazy in this day my family first olway and others too be safe and good video
