I'm a descendant of John Sevier through his oldest son, Joseph Sevier, who married Elizabeth Lowrey, granddaughter of the great war chief, Oconostota. Both of my great grandfather's were faced-off in battle with each other, like the Hatfields and McCoy's. lol jj Through Governor John Sevier, father of Joseph Sevier, I am a descendant of Eliza Sevier, who married John Ross, and had Andrew Wellington Ross, father of William Templin Ross, father of Robert Featherston Ross, father of Lena E. Ross, mother of Warren, who is my father. I would enjoy contact with any of my family on the Sevier side. Please reply here if you're related and are not half crazed like the lunatic below. lol

This is the very best depiction of our Little Village out there. It is a place set in time. Everything changes with the times, but people don't much. The basic characteristics of humanity remain the same over the generations. Little Switzerland is a generational place. It teaches you something...much like the Appalachian Trail, the ancient Pyramids or the Pieta. They might be old and things around these places change but the experience of being there never does. It is you that changes from the experience.
