Thanks, Tammy!
Very Good sermon today. Very thankful for life friends and family. Thank you Jesus
Thanks, Dan! God bless you as you continue to seek and serve Him! We're grateful to be part of your journey.
Pastor, I appreciate the importance you placed on prayer. I’m so thankful that the Lord directed Hannah to your church, I’m equally sad that we live so far away. I hope to be able to worship with you soon. Stay faithful to the Word dear brother.
Thanks so much, John! Grateful for you and your family!
One of my favorite parts is Pastor Nick singing with the Youth Praise Team!
@tammysmiley6706 🤦🏼♂️ sorry. That should NOT have happened.
Thanks, John! I appreciate your continued desire to follow and serve the Lord!
Thank you once again for a sermon that is true to the Word. Please pray for me as I strive to submit every aspect of my life to Christ. Andrew Murray called it “Absolute Surrender “ and I believe once I am able to do this, it will be an absolute miracle. I want to be able to say with the apostle Paul in 2 Corinthians 12:10. “For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weakness, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” May the Lord be our strength, may we be clothed in the “Armor of God”, and go forth led by the Holy Spirit.
Amen, John!! Thank you. May God bless and lead you according to His Word!
“How have you changed and who are you telling about it?” Very convicting words. Thank you again, for your faithfulness to the Word.
Thanks, John!!
@@NicholasDrake I have embarked on a study of 9:31, “ And walking in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit.” Sounds like the “Peace of God that surpasses all understanding.”
@@johnhefflinger6495 amen! Praise the Lord!
Pastor Nick, thank you for your faithfulness to the Word. This message was very encouraging for me. I pray the Lord will continue to bless your ministry. I hope to be in your worship service on Father’s Day.
Thanks so much, John!! I'm grateful for your encouragement and for your faithfulness to walk with the Lord and help others walk with the Lord!
Very sound sermon. Thank you for being faithful to God’s Word. I pray that the pulpits across our nation will be filled with men who know the Word and are faithful to it.
Thank you, John! God bless you this week as you seek to serve and honor Him!
Love and miss you my friend!!! Congratulations!!! Love you Pen!!
Thank you for watching and for your encouragement!
You’re welcome! I’ve known her for about 20 years. She is an amazing woman!
Again, I was blessed by your sermon. Please be in prayer for my wife and I as we search for a church that is joyful and one that serves Christ. We hope to visit you in a few weeks. It’s difficult for us to visit as my wife serves as the church pianist. May the Lord bless you.
Thanks for watching and for the encouragement, John. We pray the Lord gives you wisdom as you seek to serve and follow Him. Please keep us posted. God bless!
Amen!! I’m so very thankful for two reasons. My daughter, Hannah, was led to your church by the Lord. An answer to our prayers. I’m also very thankful for this sermon. You described the church I have been looking for my entire Christian life, over 40 years. Thank you Father for the faithfulness of your servant to Your Word.
Thanks, John! Praise God for His Word! We're grateful Hannah has been coming. Thanks for kind words and for your prayers!
Thanks, John! God bless you and your family!
Praise the Lord for young people who speak of their faith.
Amen!
Very inspirational, thank you for sharing.
Thanks, Penni. We miss you and hope you'll be back soon!
Penni, what can we do to get you back with us on Sunday mornings? Your church family misses you. Sure hope to have you back soon!
Truly men that are serving the Lord! Love their support
Amen brother!
??????? ?
What can we do for you, Darrell? Specific question(s) you have?
With regard to tithing and giving, Malachi 3:8-12 is not the full counsel of God, concerning giving, or tithing, or prosperity. It is an excerpt, quoted to the church for centuries (believe it or not), which is a misrepresentation of God's counsel. We've accepted it because that's what we have always been taught. Here are a few points to consider. -- Who did God appoint to receive tithes? God said, "And, behold, I have given the children of Levi all the tenth [the tithe] in Israel for an inheritance, for their service which they serve, even the service of the tabernacle of the congregation (Numbers 18:21). In this scripture, God established who receives the tithe (the Levites), and why they received it (they received no inheritance, and they served in the temple). This assignment is exclusive to Levites. A pastor cannot assume this assignment, he has never been scripturally assigned by God to collect tithes, he is not a Levite. In that same sense, only a Levite, never a pastor, could ever conduct an animal sacrifice or even work in a Jewish temple. The church has not replaced the Jewish temple, and pastors have not replaced Levites. -- People are blessed when they give, not because of Malachi 3, which is based on the Law of Moses, an Old Testament law that has been replaced by Grace under Christ, at the cross. They are blessed because Jesus said, "Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you" (Luke 6:38). It is this principle of giving and receiving at work, when we give and are blessed. Not the expired law of tithing, which was required of the Jews (never Gentiles), and could only be received by Levite priests because they received no inheritance and were set apart to work fully in the Jewish temple. -- There is much more to this, such as Abraham's tithe to Melchizedek, Jacob's promise to tithe, the history of when and why the New Testament church tithes (there is actually a date!), and the biblical support for all these truths. To be clear, every pastor has a right to collect offerings in support of the ministry; I fully agree with supporting the church financially. But our giving must be godly. It is wrong to require people to tithe, contrary to the scriptures, then say that we live according to the scriptures. If you're interested in learning more, I have researched and written about this in "Tither, You Are Free!" Blessings to you and your ministry!
Thanks for the comment. You make a lot of great points, and so we would encourage you to check out our stewardship series on this issue. Sacrificial giving for the glory of God is the model of giving under the New Covenant. What "percentage" is that really can't be defined, as we believe Scripture gives some flexibility there. Tithing is a bare minimum and is more a term that people understand and is a realistic starting point for one to be committed to regular giving for the advancement of the gospel. Way too much to cover in a single testimony or even a single sermon, which is why we have done series on this, cover information like this regularly, and help one another seek God according to His Word. Allen's testimony is an example of God's personal conviction on him that he at LEAST needed to be tithing when he wasn't. He has much more he can share from this story, but this is just a starting point to get people thinking about their response and obedience to God and His Word.
We all need Hope.
Amen, Robert!
Love the message brother!!! Forgiveness helps heal your heart as well. Something I pray about often. God is great 🙏

He has great youth leaders!
I am soooo proud of this young lady! Such growth and love for Jesus. What a wonderful rep for youth group.
Amen! Thanks!
Yes Ron I'm a fruitcake....
Figuratively, of course ;-).
For me an outward appearance of purity is the easy part, it's the inward purity that is more difficult. In these times we are in I seem to be struggling with an inner anger towards certain topics and situations. I know that if I take a deep breath and ask God to give me patience, He will help me get through it!
By the grace of God, we can grow in this area. Thanks for your honest reflection!
Noah you were fantastic!!
Thanks!
Than you for these devotions Nick. I love this book so much! So much to learn from it!
Great book indeed! Praise the Lord! Thank you for your encouraging words.
👌
Love you all!!! Great family event.
Thanks, Tammy! We love you all, too!
David. By far, David. Something about how his relationship with God being so genuine. Then, he messes up big time...and, God punishes him, yet still loves him so much. I love reading his Psalms too. He knows he is flawed but doesn’t run away from God because of his flaws, instead he runs to him.
Thanks, Jenika! Yes, what a great example David is for us to follow and learn from. His Psalms are the source of many of our songs of worship, and they are also a great guide for our prayers. Praise the Lord!
I appreciate the daily videos during this odd time in history, I may not be able to watch them the day they come out, though knowing they are there and ready when I am to help boost my day is nice and I thank you so much for taking the time and effort to keep after it from your end which I know can't be easy day in day out. Thank you and I ask if you are able to keep on doing them please do. :)
Thanks, Penni! We really appreciate your feedback and will continue to do the videos while the social distancing expectations are in place. Always feel free to comment and share questions here, and we'll do our best to respond within a day or two. Thanks again!
