Desensitization training
To desensitize the horse. The more exposure to strange things the less they will panic. Suppose she's riding and an unknown child runs up and grabs a leg like a hug. You can't control what the whole world does but you can train a horse to be a steady eddie

Mostly just to get them used to things that they may in counter once they get older. I’d your on their backs & they spook, it could be fatal. My friend broke her back bc of that reason…just safety procedures but I never see it with a sled. :)
