Gee that is definitely not a good start. That's the biggest problem I found with mahindra. They seemed to be just slapped together by people who have no idea of quality control. I certainly hope you don't have any more drama with it. If it looks like it's going to have more, get rid of it asap!!. Congratulations. Yeah certainly does. It helps get it's bum up out the water quality. Just see how your set-up goes, but we actually swapped props to a proper that gives more torque then speed. Ous only does about 46kph now, but it has so much more punch from the get go. Helps heaps in big waves.

I can't remember exactly. But I contacted my dealership, and they sent a different prop up in return for the original prop. The new one was definitely better suited to my set-up.

Yeah. Trident is more Australian focused compared to lovol which is more European focused. But made out of the same factory.

Tata tried selling 4x4's in Australia ages ago. It failed miserably. And I can see mahindra doing the same I'm they keep going the way they are.

@@grahamharris4wdadventures53 Tata motors years ago was not doing good even in india. But since last 3 years, they have became favourites in SUV segment in india. Just check the cars they have launched in India lately. Very likeable and feature rich designs. Today's tata motors and earlier one is very Rumours has it that, Jaguar land rover designers have launched these new vehicles for Tata motors.

They have completely changed the cars design. Very futuristic. Even they are now leaders in EV segment in SUVs,

Yeah, after being in this country for over 10 years now, you would think mahindra could get there act together with aftermarket parts distributors and give Australian people more choice of parts to build their own unique 4x4.

Yep. I really wanted to test it out more, but the thing just wanted to scrape its nose and ars everywhere. Lol

G'day mate. I absolutely love this set-up!!. The motor is perfectly matched to the boat. I changed prop pitch to give it more punch from the start, but it brought my speed back to 47km/h. It handles the rough stuff just perfect, and with its big reverse chimes you can walk around on this thing without it wanting to roll over. Definitely go get it, you won't be disappointed 👍.

Yes, I was very disappointed as well. As a family we put so much in to the mahindra brand, just for them to disown us and what we had done for them. I probably sold more mahindras then some dealerships. I definitely believe if the vehicle wasn't such a drama we would have had so many more fun times with it. Exactly right. Unfortunately mahindra have no idea of the vast distances we travel here in Australia, and parts supply should be easily accessible. And the quality control is poor to say the least. Just to many problems with the small amount of them on Australian roads. You made the right choice getting a Colorado. Thanks for watching mate 👍

No problem at all. I did like mine, but unfortunately the lack of parts availability, really bad customer care and overall reliability issues was the end of mahindra for me. My Toyota is so much more reliable and definitely easier to get parts for. Thanks for watching 👍

Not missing it, just disappointing it was so unreliable. I just answered a lot of questions people were asking me about it. So I made a video to show them the off road capabilities of it. Definitely happy with my choice to replace it with the 200.

Yes I know of plenty that have done the same. But I also know of heaps that have had issues from time of purchase. That's the problem, mahindra have absolute crap quality assurance of their vehicles. The after sales service isn't much different. Plus to have a brand in Australia for over 10 years and still have stuff all parts availability is just down right ignoring their customers. I'll never buy from mahindra again. But I'm glad you are having a good run with yours. Safe travels 🙏

Yeah that was referring to its little engine more then the actual size of the ute. Just a small engine in a reasonable size 4x4. Needed bigger.

Yes, but I had to argue with them to get things fixed. They tried to put all the blame on me.

@grahamharris4wdadventures53 I noticed that you had a lot of good memories with this Mahindra pickup. It was almost a family member. I am aware you recently sold it. One can only imagine how hard it was. Thank you for the journey on this beautiful car. We laughed, we cried. It's win was ours, and its loss is ours too. That Ford will have to take over now. Welcome also to the Toyota SUV trade in that replaces this beauty. You said it well, Mahindra was good for the period it was used. Served its purpose. After the turbo change it was never the same. Had to go. I am so proud of you for how you managed the loss. You inspire so many of us.

Exactly right. I was lucky enough to have quite a few cars to choose from to get me back to work, especially when it was parked up getting fixed so often. But if this was my only car, and it was having issues like this, I would be absolutely furious 🤬. Not only did I have trouble with mahindra and their warranty, but also the dealership. I remember getting it back after waiting a month to get the steering rack and an engine wiring harness replaced, and finding out they had lowered my torsion bars 50mm without my permission. The bloody thing couldn't even turn in to my driveway without scrubbing my tyres on the guards. They refused to fix it and I had to spend $140 getting them wound back up and another wheel alignment 🤬🤬🤬. I definitely won't buy another one. But when itcwas running I did enjoy taking it off road. G'day mate. What they lack in wheel travel, they make up in push with that diff lock. It just takes all the hassle out of things. Really capable off road with some decent tyres. Unfortunately the reliability, lack of spare parts, hardly any aftermarket parts like rims, bullbars etc. Bad after sales service, high cost of servicing. And the worst is mahindra will NOT stand by their product when it comes to warranty claim. They will blame you to the enth degree!! I will NEVER own another mahindra, just not worth the risk of getting a bad one, and resale value on these things is pathetic at best. Mine dropped to less then half its value in just 12 months. Personally I would look for a second hand d-max/Colorado or something similar. Thanks for watching mate 👍

As far as I can see it's wide spread across a large number of dealerships. Some dealers just sell them, but don't want the hassle of fixing them. Any warranty claim has to go back to head office in India to be assessed instead of here in Australia. And that take time and endless phone calls trying to figure out when you can get your car back. Just a pain in the but. Even the quality of the fixing of your issue is poor. I got mine back from a month's wait on parts, and had to spend $140 to get things fixed, just so I could take it to work.

G'day mate. Absolutely running like a dream. We literally just filming another video with it. We relocated a bund wall with it after trimming branches off a tree. Even used the little grader blade for a bit. Due for a service now, so I might do a video on that as well. Just a bloody honest little tractor.

Thanks mate. I was sick and tyred of car reviewer's just talking about all the good stuff and nothing about the things that matter. Like can I get spare parts, what is the after sales service like and things like that. I wish I had a proper informed decision before I bought mine, but there was nothing on UA-cam about them. Especially locally based information. Mate in all honesty they are a great little ute. But the chances of getting a dud seems higher then most other brands. Agree totally mate. But I'd rather fix the issue then not. After owning a mahindra, that had heaps of problems and a Colorado that had its engine replaced at 60k, you certainly realise it isn't just Toyota that have brain farts every now and then. 👍

@@grahamharris4wdadventures53 Yes for sure well know for being dusted, Iam only 2 or 3 weeks off heading Up north to To weipa area for 4 to 6 weeks then across the gulf and on to top of WA and Mcgowans fishing camp got 12 weeks or more.

Yep, the good old Toyota tax. Lol. Having said that, my 200 has performed excellent in getting me to work and back without the worry of if it will make it. Mahindra are so hit and miss with their vehicles, and the parts are stupidity hard to get. At least with a Toyota or other brand, parts are usually over night. We have had an awesome run out of our Colorado, and I'd buy another one any day over a mahindra again. I do miss it, but that's only because I put so much money and time in to building it as a full time tourer. But it's not much point having a touring set-up if it is unreliable hey.

I know by selling the mahindra I would loose some of my audience. I lost 10 subscribers in one day. But it didn't worry me to much, as I started the channel before the mahindra came along. I haven't made too many more videos since, because of a couple of things going on in the background. Work, family time, and other commitments. We are planning on some more content getting done pretty soon, with a few engine mods to the 200 series as well. A couple of camping trips are also planned for the very near future.
