Why can't they not have a character that plays ash is actually a guy

I cant comprehend why Pokemon USA decided to just fire all the old actors, keep the obscure ones and replace the leads with shitty sound-alikes... Pokemon USA's dub is terible at most.

I really miss the old voices. I don't care for the new ones, but especially with Team Rocket, they're so annoying now! At least Gary is the same.

Obviously I prefer the original cast. the voices in PKM USA all sound so fake to me but meouth sounds almost identical so its not a big deal with him of all others.

Of all the new voices his, and jessies were the easiest to get used to. Brock took a bit more time but I accepted it. The rest are horrible.

No she doesnt, meowth shouldnt have a new york accent.

tbh the new meowth sounds more accurate though.

The only reason why I can say I like Dawn and Paul is because they've only had one voice.. though meowth sounds practically the same.

Eric Stuart, Rachael Lillis, and Veronica Taylor shaped my childhood. I WANT THEM BACK.

I stopped watching once the original voice actors left. I still refuse to watch the new episodes. Absolutely no point.

@goldiex99 I know, Jessie's new voice isnt the same. The old jessie was natural sounding and bitchy in a funny way. The new one tries too hard and sounds clowny.

@savyisjosho The only good voice in USA Pokemon is Dawn and Paul. Everyone else is terrible.. Brock is okay but not better.

@Pokeyug I swear if they rehired the old cast I would cry out of joy. They are all infinitely more talented than the current cast (no disrespect meant of course). The old voice cast is a big part of what made Pokemon so special to children. They just had this magic/chemistry about the way they delivered their lines and it felt/sounded NATURAL, not like a bunch of VA's trying to match lip flap.

If Jigglypuff appears again, PUSA will probably just take her voice out of already recorded clips and not pay the actor for their use. That's what they did for the video games. PUSA = greedy.

Unfortunately, Maddie Blaustein passed away in December (I think) so naturally she can't return. And Veronica didn't continue. It was sort of a "all of us or none of us" thing from what I understand, at least with Rachel, Eric, Maddie, and Veronica.

I don't think so, I think it was stated somewhere that Veronica chose not to break away, because she had been doing so much other with 4kids, or something like that. I understand how you feel, though. The originals were the best. Rachel Lillis, Eric Stuart, Maggie Blaustien, and of course Veronica. D: It'd be nice to hear them again.

That is correct, I believe Gary's voice actor was one of them, but that was because they broke away from their contract, it's been stated in a different video, I think.

It's been pointed out many times though that other actors that worked ont he 4kids dub have done voice work for the PUSA version.

Pokemon USA did look into having Veronica do it, but she was still under contract with 4kids, and 4kids doesn't allow their voice actors to do work with other companies.

Veronica is a very talented voice actor. I'm sure she could make Ash's voice deeper. There was never a need or another VA. PUSA us just cheap.

One thing that didnt really make sense: The main charaters voices are ALL changed and yet they bring back the old narrator from the 4kids days. WTF?

Rachael didn't mention the fact she was the original English voice actress for Pokemon's Jessie and Misty.
