Thank you! This really help me through learning guitar.
I'm glad you found it helpful! 😃
Bro- you do not need to smile THAT much

Guys the difference is in the impact of the finger not the note
The different angle and location of the finger creates a different timbre.
Thought you were gonna play folsom prison blues for a sec😭 im tone deaf ash
😂
"one of the strengths of classical guitar is variety of tone" electric guitars: -_-
What I enjoy about classical guitar is producing a variety of tones purely with use of the hands.
Blud is not on to something
It's about the impact
All sounds the same to me
Understandable. The differences are subtle.
Just started playing.. never heard of this magic
I’m glad to introduce it to you! 😃

Ur smile always keeps me motivating...im a classical guitarist can u suggest me some improving ways?
I’m glad you find my videos motivating. I would suggest you subscribe to my Saturday Classical Guitarist email newsletter. In that, I give weekly ideas for improving as a classical guitarist!
im scared, ill stick to metal strings :b
What are you scared of?
@@SeanBeavers1 i have a whole list of instruments i want to learn and i told myself i would NOT get another guitar
@@Zoe-vs9fwI have mixed feelings. Part of me wants to say “have you considered how fun getting another guitar would be?” And the other part of me wants to say you can play classical style on steel string. Both are true. 😂
Only fingertips that might hurt here are on my right hand fingers! And yes, I like playing loud ;)
Playing loud can be fun! Do you use fingernails on the right hand?
Good tips for beginners! By the way what guitar support are you using? Thanks!
Thanks for your comment. I’m using a NeckUp.
@@SeanBeavers1 Thanks! Hadn't seen them before. Keep up the great videos
@@alvaromonago6484 Absolutely!
Thanks Sean beaver
Absolutely!
The best way to deal with it is just cry about it and if you don't want to have a lot of wrinkles in the finger tips just use lotion to care your skin.
dab a bit of CA glue on the tips of your fretting fingers, and you'll have instant callouses. Little trick Keith Richards once told me
good tip
@@SeanBeavers1 ...my pleasure
For me personally, the nylon strings always hurt more than steel strings when I was trying out guitars in the store, so I opted to buy an electric guitar instead.
@@sspresso Nylon strings hurt more? I’m surprised! I wonder if the action was super high.
The same way you get to Carnegie hall.... practice
@@BunkMasterFlex77 Yep!

Bravo!! 🎉❤
I’m glad you enjoyed it!
@@SeanBeavers1 Can’t stop to, as you insist. 😀
There is a better way. Just don't be a bitch.
Man up
😂
Tbh there’s not rly a way around it just play consistently and you’ll eventually get calluses and it won’t hurt no more
Playing the guitar daily for a few weeks is the most important way to get through the fingertip pain. Then for the rest of your life, fingertips won’t usually hurt.
10 told 15 minutes a day 5 x a week... I've been playing a min 2 hours a day for 40 years and the first 10 years I played at least 5 hours a day. But I was obsessed!
That’s literally me right now playing guitar 5 to 6 hours every day. when I first started, my fingers were bleeding but I kept going😂
The more practice the better, in most cases! I suggested 15 minutes a day for a beginner as a minimum amount that should overcome fingertip pain within a few weeks.
@@SeanBeavers1 yup! Completely agree!
✨✨✨🙏🙏🙏🙏
😃
To avoid pain you shall not be a pussy
Segovia was great! No argument there. I would suggest, however, that using a guitar support and slightly different wrist angle does not disrespect Segovia’s legacy.
The real answer is you dont
While it is hard to completely avoid when you first start playing, it can be minimized and usually goes away within a few weeks of daily playing.
Don't be a b****, they will stop hurting eventually.
You have to develope callusses
That is true, though some people develop more callouses than others. For some reason, no matter how much I play guitar, my callouses are quite minimal. It seems that is just how my body operates.
I’ve never had fingertip pain
Like ever? When I first started I definitely had finger pain but that was over 13 years ago so I don’t even remember how painful it really was and never will again lol
Everyone has it at the very beginning but calluses develop real quick
I had very little, maybe because I started on nylon strings.
Thank you! Very informative!
Glad it was helpful!

Great video. I saw Segovia in 1977 before I lear ed guitar. I noticed his bent wrist.
I'm glad you liked the video. That is cool that you saw Segovia in 1977.
Great considerations.
I'm glad you like them!
@@SeanBeavers1 the thing you said about using the weight of the hand, this allows us to play stronger, not just with the force from the fingers. I come from a school where the technique I consider it was a blend between the classical and the spanish techniques.
@@BrunoHenriquesHasper1 I don’t think a lot about using the weight of the hand, but I am starting to think about it more.
I play with a pick, in G#1 standard, on an electric guitar with emgs into an amp with distortion, the picking angle ain't doing a thing to my sound
@@Dom_Valentine 😂
I’m only a beginner, but I learned the straight wrist with the guitar at an angle makes your nails slide on the string as it is being played, resulting in a “softer” tone, like you describe for trebles… of course you can modify that to suit what sound you want to create, but I learned that is the default for classical guitar.
Many current guitar teachers, including me, emphasize the straight wrist as default.
Great tip. I’m a “warm tone” fan, especially on the treble strings.
I’m also a “warm tone” fan!

Can u make tutorials of multiple songs?

That’s fun! It’s sounds like a country western song, instead of a spaghetti western song. 😂😎🎵🌸
It does sound like a country western song! 😂
No.
There’s a reason it’s in minor. 😂

How much practice time would you recommend devoting to reading? I’m just wondering if I should go back to the basics, or if I should keep working at my level of playing as well. Thanks so much for the videos!
It depends on how much priority you want to put on reading. I would suggest you could spend 1/3 of your practice time on reading, possibly at a pretty basic level from a method book if needed, and then spend your other 2/3 on your current level of playing. But if you want to really prioritize reading, you could go to 2/3 reading and 1/3 current level pieces for a while.
