Coach Ukai's Preference: Ideal Setter Haikyuu!!
There have always been debates about who the best setter in Haikyuu is!! among fans, although the hints have been there throughout the series. This time, we will discuss the ideal setter in Ukai's eyes since he's widely known to praise Atsumu in season 4.
Please note that Ukai's ideal setter doesn't guarantee that he is the best!
Also note that whoever our setter preference is, every pro players have to be able to deal with any type of setter if they want to live up to their pro title.

@@Mi_SLAY_SAM it's a normal trait of extroverted. Any extroverted can do that. Sugawara is also Tobio's sunshine. But, in this case, Tobio and Hinata are destined for each other. The fact that the one Hinata looks up the most both in pre-timeskip and Brazil arc is Tobio, means that Tobio is also Hinata's sunshine. Since we don't get that animated yet, I can't make a short for Hinata's POV, Not that Hinata has mental problem anyway, unlike Tobio's.

@TeaHoney01 Either he is asleep or fainted, maybe just because of tiredness. Tobio didn't help him. He thinks Hinata will survive eventually like how Hinata thanks Tobio will survive eventually even when seeing Tobio chocked on his food.

@Jely_Ace But, Tobio didn't learn that from old-Ukai. That's why I didn't include it here. I believe at certain moments in Kitaichi, Iwaizumi had done that too with Tobio witnessing it. That's why this is more about what Tobio learn from Iwaizumi, including the expression 😌

in brazilian portuguese speak "an caguei hinata" means "what crap."
If Hinata is "a spiker who you want to toss to", then Kageyama is "a setter whose toss you want to spike". I only realized it after reading Nekoma match in that scene where Asahi's aura is calling for a toss. Turns out, it's had started since season 2 where Hinata's aura was asking for Kageyama's "toss-that-stopped", followed by Tanaka in Inarizaki match during set 1. Later on, I realized that everyone, including Tsukishima was asking for a toss in Kamomedai match. Also, I noticed that this is only happened with Kageyama. Not even Oikawa whom I think has a high chance to experience it to have this type of toss. Yup, Atsumu's toss might scream "Here! I'll letcha hit it!". And Oikawa's one is screaming "I trust you!". On the other hands, Kageyama's toss has many languages. It can be "Come here!" (during Kamomedai match ) or "Fly!" (during Nekoma match) or "Show them why I have faith in you!" (during Inarizaki match). Therefore, the best description for Kageyama's toss is from the spiker's view, "TOSS TO ME!"

@@Sir_Niight_Eye589I wouldn't blame the anime if it shows fully the manga version like in Season 1 up to Season 3. But, since the anime cut off many important scenes, I can't help but to depend on the manga. I always recommend anime watchers to also read the manga, otherwise there will be many misunderstandings without them realize it. 😊

Technically he did have a sort of interaction with Kenma before. After their first practice match he’s intently staring from a distance and Kenma kind of runs off, scared of the haunting aura he’s unknowingly projecting. 😂
Kageyama always tried to approach Kenma bc he has like a million questions for him as a setter, when Kenma saw his intensity he remembered what Hinata told him about him when they met and he runs away from him
