try a glass file if you don't want to sand the nub. it leaves an itty bitty of scratch mark but since you're painting the kit, it will be covered.

I like the more "bulky" legs compared to the 2.0. Then again that may be a bias towards the anime.

The Vulcan pod attachment also just reminds me a lot of those tactical headsets you'd see in modern military shooters. Like those tacticool headphones you'd see the soldier/special forces operator wear.

I miss those old heavyuser parts... Nowadays all the greebles and such are separate optional purchases. Funny to see how they refer to the calf as the shank on this old box lol. Really cool to see how opening hatches were always the big gimmick point with RX-78 kits, when you compare this with the PGU. Watching this reminds me of building the MG 1.5. It was so cool for its time, pre-molded inner frame, just like the og RG kits! But it got floppy in days lol. Great paint job and video!

Man, moving pistons and detailed leg frames in such an old kit is just awesome. The use of ball joints to add extra little amounts of articulation everywhere is also really cool. Nice paint job! Very clean

The brick built Eggman isn’t the only Eggman LEGO has made. There is a minifig version of him that can be found in 3 sets so far, Sonic vs The Death Egg Robot, Green Hill Zone Loop Challenge, and Super Sonic vs Egg Drillster. You can find these sets pretty much anywhere that sells LEGO. The Super Sonic vs Egg Drillster set is not out as of me typing this comment but it will be on Aug. 1st 2024.

I had no idea such adorable Ebichu merch existed! Hers is such an obscure series, but I love the combination of cuteness and raunchy lewd humor! I’ll need to look for these! As far as potential subject matter in this particular line of videos is concerned, have you considered Hozuki no Reitetsu (aka, Hozuki’s Coolheadedness)? It’s one of my favorite anime, but it’s practically unknown outside of a very small community of fans and Japan itself. It currently consists of a recently-concluded manga (which is gorgeously illustrated but AFAIK only available digitally) and three seasons of anime, and it’s essentially about the titular Hozuki dealing with the daily running-and subsequent absurdity-of Japanese Hell, and it’s jam-packed with references to Shinto and Buddhist mythology as well as Eastern folklore, and even a bit of Western tales. The first season does go a bit too heavy on the footnotes, but the other two aren’t nearly so full of text. I’d also recommend You Are Being Summoned, Azazel not only for its obscurity, but also because it’s full of the same raunchy humor we see in Ebichu.
