The Chilkey ND75 | a ball-catch 75% with a screen
In this video, I will be showcasing and building the ND75 by Chilkey.
It features a screen, wireless connection, ball-catch mechanism for easy assembly, a magnetic PCB connector and an outer aluminum weight with a beautiful raw machining pattern.
There are three different mounting styles, you can build it with a split o-ring mount, silica gel mount or classic top mount based on your preference.
For the build, I will use the provided polycarbonate plate on the 1.6mm non-flexcut PCB with the case foam and mid-plate foam installed.
For switches, I went with Sarokeys Strawberry Wines.
For keycaps I used a set of GMK CYL Pixel keycaps, which are ABS.
There is also a pre-built version of this keyboard available, including PBT keycaps and a set of Gateron EF Dopamine linear switches.

Great video! What was your favorite mounting style? And which one gave the most flex?
Thank you! 🙏🏻 I personally liked the top mount best in person, leaving out the mounting points under the spacebar. It was the stiffest out of the three mounts, but since the plate is polycarbonate, it didn‘t feel too harsh. Silica gel and split o-ring are kinda on the same level in my opinion.

Does the square o-ring any different than the round o-ring, and what the benefit of the square one
I think the shape of the mold should not make too much of a difference. I did not try a different o-ring, but i doubt a rounder one of the same hardness would change sound or feel.

Important notes: - the second build at 04:30 uses the MZ Z1 switch, not the HMX Hyacinth V2. The subtitle is wrong - the screws of the diffusers will be changed to torx screws

i think you can get it from a Chinese studio on Taobao.their base keycap design are almost the same. (i think on of them is Plagiarism)And they put a lot of design like violet's brooch you said or sealing wax on Function and novelties keycaps.I have using this keycap for more than one year.And it is gorgeous.

It is a little bit rougher than usual ano on keyboards, but that is not certainly a downside imo. It is still consistent and fir example not easy to scratch or fingerprinty at all.
