    Thank you so much for this. It really helped me understand exactly how climate change is affecting lake systems. This video really helped me to get a grasp on the fundamentals.

    your lifespan of the house cat is greatly exaggerated - on average it's 13-17 years old - NOT 27! We need to write/install laws to make it illegal to let owned pet cats roam. Pet abandonment should also result in stiff penalties - not slaps on the wrists. There are leash laws for dogs - we need containment legislation for owned pet cats as well. Groups who are working on the problem through TNR - it would be better instead if folks could work together on the problem - there is a way to do this humanely through education, TNR of ferals, low cost or better yet FREE spay/neuter clinics and rehoming those individual ferals who can be socialized. It is a complicated problem but there are solutions. We don't have packs of dogs roaming - so we can indeed tackle the issues of cats too by working together.
