Awesome demo! Thank you for sharing!
Thank you very much for this! Very well explained.
Thank you! This is the best video on making and applying murrini I have seen. I agree with other comments that you are a good teacher. Your explanations are clear. I like your technique of applying the cane to the bead and cutting.
Thanks, will try
Best marring explanation ever! Thank you.
I made this murrini and I totally LOVE the way they came out! Thanks so much!!
this is a good one!
Wow! This was the exact set of clues I need! I've been fighting for weeks trying to get my murrini chips to bloom and generally ending up with a mess. Thanks.
Glad it was helpful!
Very nice video what is the angle called that is attached to the top of your torch and can I find this? Thanks 😊
Thanks! That is a torch top marver I got from Blast Shield (theblastshield.net). Many lampwork supply companies have them. Just have to make sure it is the correct one for your brand of torch. 😄
wow, lovely!
Thank you!
Something to not. When marvering layers heat just the skin of your design marver. Smooth. So the uneven surface doesnt get pushed into the inaide design
Holy Cow - another resource from you ... boy, I appreciate this so much! I’m off to go fire up my torch. 🥰
Hope it helps! 😄
Ok! Ok! NOW I get it. There’s quite a procedure to this. Who knew? I certainly didn’t.
Very cool, thank you!!
You're welcome! 😁
In his video, is this the Nortel mega Minor
Yes, it is! 😁
@@daynaschutter338 iv been thinking about getting that model. How does it work on boro with an O² concentrator
@@kodyfrost I've never worked boro, so I don't know if it would work. I ran it with 2 Ex-15 concentrators. It is a good torch, but I needed a larger flame. I changed this past year to a Carlisle Wildcat, which I run on 3 Ex-15's. Sorry, not much help.
I enjoyed this video very much, your instructions were clear and easy to follow. I hope you make many more videos, IMO you're the UA-cam successor to the wonderful and missed Jeannie Cox.
Thank you very much. Jeannie was so wonderful and giving with her knowledge. I have learned many things watching her videos and hopefully I can add a few more to the community. Yes, she is sorely missed. 💓
Awe, I have been watching Jeannie Cox. I had no idea she passed. It is her videos that enticed me to buy a kit, which is just now on my kitchen table while I create a good workspace. Im sad she is gone.
What size is your mandrel that you made the shell cane on?
I like using 3/16" mandrels to make all my murrini on. 😁
@@daynaschutter338 Thanks for the info and the replies! I checked your channel page and see it's been awhile. :( I hope you're still melting glass and decide to do another video (or 20). :)
@@IMSiegfried yes, still melting! I'll have to think about another video. It has been a while!
@@daynaschutter338 Yay!
It really helps to be able to see how it's done. Years ago when I first learned photos were the best one could find. You're also a very good teacher- you talk in layman's terms (not over our heads. :) Very cool! Thank you!
Thank you Angela! I appreciate that. ☺️ I hope you have fun with these.
Love your videos. My son works boro and loves watching these for help. Very informative, do you plan on doing any more?
Thank you! So glad they are helpful. I don't have plans for another video but maybe in the future.
Wonderful..learned a lot from you today...I could not understand the name of where you purchased the butterfly murrini..would love to buy some if you would share...Thank you for a great video...
I'm so happy you enjoyed it! The butterfly are by Jackie Gundelfinger and she sells on Facebook and etsy. www.etsy.com/shop/gundyglass
Hi dayna, your videos has been very educative, thank you so much
Welcome!
This was terrific. Thank you
Excellent
Terrific...thank you. I just might give this a go soon.
This is so helpful. Thanks! Where did you get the brass knife you were using?
Barbara Laird so glad it was helpful. I got the brass knife from a seller on Facebook in the group Murrini & More.
Need captioning enabled. Wear hearing aids and i read lips. Can’t understand anything you are saying except the odd word.
Great video, Dayna, the encasing was so precise and you made it look easy! Where can I get a round marver and tungsten tweezers like yours, please?
Thanks Christine! I got the round marver and tungsten tweezers at Perlenpresse. Make sure you change the shipping option to their regular international if you purchase. It is much less expensive.
Dayna Schutter thank you very much!
My gosh ... this is great, NOW I know how to do this. I bought some fish and butterfly murrini ... but have been afraid to use them just for the same reason you mention in your video. I have often pat my encasing, but never knew it was really okay to do that. Whew - i sure did learn a whole lot. THANK YOU SO MUCH. My head is buzzing now - better run t the torch and try again with the floral murrini's that I bought.
I'm so happy this helped you. Murrini can be frustrating. I hope you have fun!
Thank you so much , I am just beginning and you’re lovely tutorial has been a joy to watch .I can’t wait to make a bead and add murrini . 😊
This is great, thanks.
Hope it helps. Have fun!
