for some reason it gives me an error on name entry. I tried changed from English, to Katakana and to hiragana. I am currently in Taipei maybe it's a weird issue with being out of the country. I arrive in Japan in a few hours so will try there. Thanks for the instructional video.

This isn't working anymore unfortunately. After adding 1000 yen, there is no option to add to Apple Wallet anymore, and also no option to see your card number to transfer the card manually to the wallet. So it looks like that 1000 yen has disappeared and I'll likely have to dispute the charge with my bank. If anyone knows how to see your card number in the Suica app, let me know. I've gone through every screen now and translated it to English, but there is no info on the card I added funds to at all.

Heya, great vid thanks. I'm trying to get my aunty set up using your work around for the error "payment not complete". She is saying that when she opens the Suica app there is no "+" sign, just a "?" that leads her to website. Im helping her over the phone so not sure if we are just missing something obvious or not, would you have any ideas?

after we transfer physical suica card to wallet, can we unlink it from the phone and use the physical card again?

I managed to complete the operation of loading money but from minute but I do not get the option to add the card in apple pay. Did you already have a card registered on the app before doing this operation?

It worked for the initial money I put on it, but when i tried to add more i got the error that my card couldn't be authenticated. Anyone know how to fix this?

Please note that you need an iPhone 8 or higher to be able to use. I have an iPhone 7plus and it is not new enough

I read on one page that addaing balance to your Suica by VISA in Apple pay would NOT work when is between 2:00AM and 4:00AM JST. And I tried It in that times, It didnt work. But after, I added balance to my Suica

So after I done the payment but the add card didn’t pop up on the screen;( and it said payment is done

I have been able to link my Wise travel visa with my digital Suica on my iPhone.

Just tried using my Venture X (VISA) to top up directly to my Suica wallet while outside of Japan. Surprisingly, it actually worked. Didn't work earlier this year (mid-Jan) when I was using my Sapphire Reserve (also VISA) but AMEX worked fine. Wondering if they've updated this recently, will try topping up again in Japan to confirm.

Canadian User installing Sucia in to the wallet. when your outside of Japan. when using apple pay it working when i used major credit card ( mastercard) , doesn’t work when your using prepaid cards, cash reloaded credit card. For language switching to Spanish take you to another sucia site and select English and that was some help. You will need to download the app though the wallet. Then entering your apple ID & Password once it is completed. Then you can see the full Card number.
