I load my kayak almost like the 1st guy. Except I lean the front over the rail and lift the rear up and push it forward. A piece of cardboard or carpet helps.

U first put in the steering cable in the kayak on the left hole but came out on the right hole. Am I supposed to criss cross the steering cables internally like what’s shown in the vid?

When unloading it the loader wanted to spring back up. If it did slip from under the kayak the bow would've either hit the car or landed on the ground.

Hello there. I just installed a Berley pro mount for a hobie PA12 2017 for lowrance triple shot transducer. My friend has the same fish finder installed on a pa12 newer model which doesn’t need any mount. The image quality on my friend’s fish finder and mine are totally different. He can see the images clearly while mine are close to nil. Does it really differ so much with the mount on?

Mine keeps getting loose and wabbly after a day of use. I used a lot of blue loctite on the screw but somehow it always loosens. Any solution or advise?

Kayaks have been ridiculously overbuilt since about the mid 70s when rotomolded PU began. I started with 2 fiberglass slalom kayaks I built while in high school. One weighed 40 lb, the other 28 lb. Good competition slalom kayaks were Kevlar/Carbon & weighed about 12 lb if that. Before my time kayaks were a canvas skin on a cedar frame. They were generally home built for next to nothing & were extremely light weight. Like lift it up onto your shoulder with one hand and carry it 200m the the water light. Now they cost thousands and you need a heavy duty mechanical device to get on & off your SUV & a cart costing over a hundred to wheel it 20m to the water. Love progress.

Poor guy just did all that and forgot his fishing poles.
