Barbican Quartet: Manifesto on Love
Das Barbican Quartet gewann 2022 den ARD Musikwettbewerb und gehört seitdem zu den gefragtesten jungen Streichquartett-Formationen. Nun veröffentlicht das international zusammengesetzte Ensemble sein Debütalbum bei GENUIN: „Manifesto on Love“ mit Werken von Leoš Janácek und Robert Schumann. Der Gegensatz zwischen Schumanns weit schwingenden Bögen und Janáceks nervösen Flächen und ekstatischen Ausbrüchen könnte nicht größer sein - und doch vereint das Barbican Quartett sie als Ausdruck des menschlichen Bedürfnisses nach Liebe, nach Zusammengehörigkeit. Zwei Werke der intimsten musikalische Gattung, auf phänomenalem Niveau gespielt!
