My apologies. This video was made the way it was for people who are interested in a more in depth exploration of how these mechanics work. I'm not really the channel for quick, short tips. There are people far, far better at that sort of thing than me on UA-cam. I wonder if the results tested in this video still apply now that the DLC is out? I imagine many of these mechanics have been tweaked somewhat by now.

Thanks! I've actually been finishing and expanding since I made this video. The Grey Hunters are now magnetised and can be played as anything from one squad of 10 with all boltguns to two squads of 5 with 2 special weapons per squad and 2 models have a removable magnetic plasma pistol. One guy is magnetised to get a Power Fist or Chainsword and a magnetic banner. I've also increased the Scouts to 5x Wolf Scouts and 10 x Snipers. I have repurposed 2 Wolf Guard Terminators with Assault Cannons to be Pack Leaders and painted up a 2nd Ed Terminator with Heavy Flamer and Power Fist. So I put a WGT Pack Leader with both 5 Grey Hunters and another with the Long Fangs. I added an extra guy to them too so they have as a squad - 5 x Las Cannon, 1 x Meltagun and 1 x Assault Cannon. I actually feel like a couple of Land Raiders might be a good addition. I think there'd be enough spare points to get some Fenrisian Wolves or something to take them up to 2000 pts.

@MartynStanleyAuthor I've never made any models with removable weapons but it's a great idea. Land raiders woukd be cool, I was considering one too. I also considered a stormfang gunship but I'm not sure they're worth it points wise. Are you running your army with 10th out of interest?

Very true. The timing is tight on some - trying to time it so your madness and poison trigger at the same time-ish would help. The 20 second duration ones could do with another 10 secs duration. That’s make all the difference 🤔

Thnx! It’s very fun and versatile. The trick with the spear is using the skill to simultaneous dodge and attack. Works very well if you start the skill then lock on mid jump. 🙂👌

With a nice big fire AOE that hits and stuns and does poise damage. Plus you can snipe with frenzied burst or obliterate everything with unendurable frenzy. Inescapable frenzy is awesome in pvp if you can land it.🙂

Not tried that. It’s a very fun build though. Vykes spear hits hard and leaves a flaming floor AOE. Frenzied burst will allow you to snipe from miles away. Save the cerulean hidden tear flask for EB and you get close and hold down the cast button on unendurable frenzy - that hits hard multiple times and dies poise damage. You’ll want flame scorpion talisman. Radagon icon to reduce casting times. Godfrey icon. Flame shrouded cracked tear and cerulean hidden tear. Use the frenzied flame seal and wear the black dumpling hat, the do howl of shabriri enough times to give yourself madness before you attack. Don’t quote me but as Radagon is weak to fire the other aspects of this should make it good vs big enemies- I reckon you’ll melt Radahn and EB with this setup. 🙂👌

Oh… I forgot - you probably did fight Lansseax. She spawns just north of abandoned coffin site of grace first, just after you fight the magma worm to get to Altus without using the grand lift? Near the perfumers ruins? She flies off when you get her to about 80% Hp I think and this is where she goes!

I haven’t explored it fully yet. I suspect it’ll be great with Cerulean hidden tear. I DO have a new set up coming for you soon - which obliterates mr. Fell Omen so he dies in seconds and can’t get a hit in. It’d also a obliterate any nearby enemies too! Look out for the video 😉👌

Thnx. I managed to hit a putrid tree avatar for 8500 in one hit last night. The one at the terminus behind the lake if rot. I swapped ritual sword for feathered branch talisman and I managed to time it so all my buffs were stacking

Not messed with them too much. The bloodboil aromatic can be good for buffing physical damage. The one one that turns you silver is really good for defence, except it makes you really weak to lighting. Bloodboil is the most useful aromatic and the talisman doesn't affect that.

It’s amazing. Fire damage, the skill sees you charge into the enemy and pushing them back - this stun locks Malenia. Then it ends by smashing them up into the air!

They nerfed the poise damage in 1.08 😕 sorry.

It’s really fun for clearing hoards if weak mobs and does poise damage. Hold LT and you can walk around with it spewing flames all over the shop! Not sure it’s a boss killer though. Have a play and tell me how you get on! 🙂👍

What was your main takeaway? Mine was that armour isn’t amazing at stopping damage and going into heavy load is categorically NOT worth it, but the tear giving you the chance to shrug off that big hit? That is worth knowing. If you don’t need a damage buff in the flask that’s a really nice option 👌

Ahh yes, the poise booster in the flask and high poise armour so you can get your spells off. That’s a drawback of the spellblade set, so not so good for close range stuff, but you could drink the poise defence tear in the flask to mitigate that. ? 🤔

If you can parry week they are a blast. I have a bell bearing Hunter clip sh exiles for later. They can be nasty - particularly when you Elmer of the briar in this tiny room! My all bosses run is getting closer by the way! Limgrave, Liurnia and Caelid are all done now 100%
