Thanks. This will work with some of my larger scraps. Happy Thanksgiving!
Your iron is so quick! What kind is it?
you are adorable! love when you pinned yourself to the ironing board! I keep coming back to your video whenever I make a case! thanks so so much!
I’m so glad you enjoy it and it is helpful!!!
Beautiful quilts GOD BLESS YOU for y💜ur.labor.of L❤VE 🙏🏻🌹
Thank you!😊
This looks great..! Last month I struggled getting 3 quilts ready for local fair,, they had to have sleeves,, I HATE hand stitching ,ll
I’m so glad this helped you!!!😊😁
Inaudible.
I just played it and the sound seems fine. I have played a video before where the sound seemed messed up. By restarting my device I was able to fix the problem. It’s worth a try 😊
Thank you so much, I have a quilt that is hanging up by clips and I think it will be causing damage to the binding if I leave it much longer and could not figure out how to add a sleeve. This is an awesome tutorial.
You’re welcome so much! I’m glad it helped!!!😊😁😁
Thank you so much, it’s now my signature binding for all my quilts X
You’re welcome 😊 That’s so fun!!
That’s darling👏👏👏 ❤️😀
Thank you!!!😊
Ii really like it too!
Thank you!!!😊
Very pretty! Nice job 😊
Thank you! 😊 They were fun!
For beginners would you recommend sewing on top to bottom..then measure and cut the bottom just to be on the safe side?😂
I’m not exactly sure what you’re asking. You want to measure the length of your quilt, cut both side borders to that measurement, pin them on, sew them on and then press toward the borders. Then measure the width of the quilt including the side borders you just sewed on, cut the top and bottom borders to that measurement, pin them on, sew them on and press toward the borders. You don’t want to just sew on borders without cutting them to the right length and then trim them off. If you do, your quilt will stretch as you sew and your borders will be wavy. They won’t lay flat and smooth. Does this help?
Totally awesome!
Thanks! 😊
Wonderful finds!
I think so too!! Good memories from a good trip!
I love both of them!
Thanks! I do too!!!
Love it!❤
Thanks!
How creative! Very beautiful work. My great aunt is an avid quilter. I know how expensive the batting to make these can be now. Marvelous job.
Thank you! 😊
I love it!!!
Thank you so much!! 😊
Both are beautiful , the black is stunning .Thx .
Thank you!!😊

Your background quilt it totally awesome and video is great.
Thanks so much! The quilts in the background are my ‘Enchanted’ quilt pattern available on my website.
It’s called Enchantment
Very clever,
Thanks!
It is worth noting that *any* time you sew strips to frame blocks or motifs, you must match the lengths of opposite sides of those strips as well. Medallion quilts are essentially a series of borders and unless you use this process as you go, they will end up full of bubbles and ruffles.
You are so right!
You explain everything very well BUT if you could remake it and use way lighter fabric for the binding we would be able to see what your doing, dark fabric is very hard to see.. Thanks
BEAUTIFUL
Thank you! 😊
That is so pretty! ❤️❤️
Thank you! 😊 I just love them!
Why do you use such a wide sleeve? I would think that half the 8 inch would be large enough to accommodate even a one inch dowel.
The 8” is folded in half so it’s 4”. You want the front to lay flat so the sleeve needs the extra length to accomplish that. The circumference of a 1” dowel is 3.1415… so 4” total wouldn’t be enough for the front to lay flat, it would curve around the dowel. You can experiment with this by just pinning the sleeve on and see how you like it. I’m always experimenting and trying new ideas. 😊
@@SweetheartQuiltDesign Thank you for this explanation. I think it makes sense - just have to try it.
When you put the fold on the quilt (before stitch in the ditch) was it just at the inside edge of the binding?
Yes, I put pins from the front through to the fold in the back so I’m lined up when I sew.
I love it!🥰
Yay! Thank you! 😊
What a sweet block! I will definitely be trying this!!! 🥰
Have fun! 😊👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you for showing how to make the block. I'm going to try making it.
Have fun! 👍🏻👍🏻😊
Thank you! I’ve had in my mind that I could do something like this for fabric for a baby quilt. It is so helpful for me to see you do this. Thank you!
You are so welcome!
Genius on how to thread needle😍🌺😍

Great video, thank you.😊
Thanks for watching!😊
What a great idea!! Just discovered your channel, looking forward to more!!
Awesome! Thank you!
Great
Thanks!
great video and clear instructions
Glad it was helpful!
I see this video is about two years old it did pop up on my video list so I am watching. I love to make pillow cases and your tutorial is great. I just wanted to say I sew over pins all the time. I learned to sew from my grandma and she sewed over her pins too. I think if sewiist were honest most sew over their needles too. Thank you for a great tutorial.
You are so welcome!
What is the pattern? Please
It is called Elizabeth. If you google it you can find a free download. I got mine when I bought the Elizabeth kit. On the template page, check to make sure the square is one inch. I used the Sashing Star template set. It’s available on my website. Sweetheartquiltdesign.com Some of the cutting directions tell you to cut more strips than you need to cut the triangles. In one instruction it tells you to cut one square in half diagonally. You actually need to draw a diagonal line on the back of all the squares you had just cut and not cut one in half. Hope this helps! Have fun!!
I love the colors you chose!
Thanks! It was a kit called Elizabeth 😊
Absolutely gorgeous 😊
Thank you! 😊
I am on my first quilt to hang and was concerned about it hanging straight at the top. The excess is the trick! Thanks!
You’re welcome! 😊
Here from Brenda
My head is spinning 😂
It’s a lot easier than trying to count them!
Thank you, very helpful.
Glad you enjoyed it!😊
Came from mount scrapmore.
I hadn’t heard of mount scrapmore, thanks for letting me know. I thought up the idea to save myself time and shared it. It can also be done with triangles on a roll and the triangulation software.
