It is my personal opinion that Bill was at his peak during the Red period.

Actually I think Danny is the one with the groove. If you listen to Waiting Man for example, and other live tracks from this tour, they’re much funkier and deeper than Brufords style. Bruford is of course the OG, but I find this new lineup offers a fresh groovy new take on the music. Especially with Steve Vai who plays much looser and more melodic than Fripp. I can’t wait to see them in Denver.

Bruford was an All Time Great. We all know what he did in his 50+ years of playing and his one off style, King of the Rimshot snare 🥁 ! He won the Modern Drummer Magazine "Best Drummer" so much they put Bruford in their HOF just like they did Neil Peart & Mike Portnoy later. My all time favorite Drummer and I'm an Old Prog "Baaastard" having seen all the great bands many times from Boston, CT to NYC starting in 1971' with my older Brother and friends. Bill in Yes/ King Crimson/ Genesis in 1976' and UK in 1978' and Crimson in the 1980s-90s so many great concerts. For me Bill was just so different I Loved his playing just amazing ! 👍🎶🥁🎼✌

The 80's lineup played Red live when touring, so they are maintaining that tradition.

@nathanmeans1548 so did the '70s, '90s, and '00s ... advertised as the three '80s albums. I've seen 'em do Red a dozen times. I look forward to seeing them on October 4 in DC.

​@@nathanmeans1548Yep. It was a Tradition, and I can attest to it being played, during both the Beat, and to the Three of the Perfect Pair Tours I saw Them play Red, Live.

The double-trio doing Red live in the '90s was INSANE, so ferocious. Check out the live Japan 95 vid.

The Red on Absent Lovers is bestial. ❤ This one isn’t too bad either.

Adrian made a point of introducing the song as a thank you to Fripp and Bruford. He did mention that they used to play it when touring on the 80's.

Red and larks 2 were played by 80s lineup on every show

Adrian did great. Hope he can keep it up for the rest of the tour. They've got over 50 more shows to go.
