When i found SHINee the first time around 2010, was also the time i found kpop. There were lots of groups you know good music all around. I checked them out and loved their songs that time, really became a fan. Then i moved on, i thought they were a neat group, just like others. It took almost a decade later and a DEEP DIVE into their discography, that i found, 'NO, this group has been a CLASS APART since DAY 1!' NO other group has been consistent with giving quality songs album after album while also giving their audience something different. This must be why, so many groups from SHINee's time have faded out, (not because of lack of talent, mind you) but they still are relevant. SHINee always try to do something different it's their USP, they take their slogan 'contemporary band' seriously and always try to reinvent, staying up to the trends, but also being true to themselves. Musicians who tries to do that, are true artists and SHINee are true artists in that way. It's unfortunate i found this video late at night, so i'll comment this and watch later, maybe on new year's eve, for a good send-off.

Finally finished watching! I'm a newer fan from early 2022 who binged all the group and solo content and this vid made me appreciate their earlier (pre-Misconceptions era) albums more. You've inspired me to do a slower listening party by album (instead of my Spotify playlists). Also, Orgel is in my top 3 SHINee songs so it's definitely not underappreciated in my house 😊

This video was kinda made with the intent some newer/casual fans might find and get into their older tracks a little bit more 'Orgel' is so hypnotizing but seems a little slept on. Glad to know you love it too.
@@new.mp3 Love's Way, Romeo + Juliette and pretty much the entire Lucifer album. I mean, I've watched the full SWC IV and SWC V vids so I've seen many of these songs performed but I didn't realize how early in their career some of these songs were released.

I'm only about 30 min in but I love this video so far!! I haven't seen a SHINEee overview video like this before that does such a deep and organized dive into their music - I love hearing other peoples' thoughts on their music! Totally agree with how you described the members' voices. Love that you label all the concerts/stages, it's super helpful. This should have way more views, I'm excited to watch through the whole thing! EDIT: also love that you chose a few B-sides from each album to highlight! IMO their best music is in their B-sides so always nice to see a video shine a spotlight on them!

@@new.mp3 I loved the whole video! I definitely have to go back and rewatch some of the earlier album sections bc there were a few bsides I need to add to my playlist! When one lays out Misconceptions, Odd, 1 of 1 and TSOL one after another it's actually insane how they basically made banger after banger like that, and all with such different genres and concepts too! And thank you for ranking TSOL among their best albums. It's really underrated (granted, for understandable reasons), but the sound and concept are so cohesive and emotionally moving, and it probably has some of my favorite lyric selections in general out of their music. And this isn't an album art discussion, but TSOL's album covers are fantastic - really good use of minimalism. But overall I agree with 1 of 1 as their best work ;) I've listening to SHIFT a lot recently - soooo good especially with good headphones.
I love SHIFT! And out of their older b-sides, I really like everything in The Shinee World. I tried to be thoughtful when talking about TSOL. It's a really good album and I hope everyone has the chance to listen to it through at least once. I meant to talk about the lyrics to Good Evening but I had to cut it out of the video to save time, but it's quite pretty! My favorite title-track lyric along with Tell Me What To Do and Love Like Oxygen.

I remember when the members said a long time ago they wanted to do more of a "girly pop" concept and named f(x) as an example, so I kept that in mind while making this, and I think LOOSSEMBLE is on their way to accomplish just that!
