Aj, Aj, Kapten! 🫡 Fun fact: the album cover portrays Aset (“Isis” - the Greek colonizers’ name to disguise Her, done out of malicious envy) & a VERY old form of Bast (back before She was distinguished from Sekhmet as the Lioness aspect of the Eye of Ra-I’m talking Old Kingdom, waaaaay back in the day) standing beneath the many-handed rays of the Aten, the obscure & nigh-insignificant name of the solar disk originally worshipped by the heretic king Akhenaten, which the Gnostics later called the demiurge. The Aten is not an accurate understanding of the Sun, you see, as the “disk” is merely the appearance of that absolutely MASSIVE star (a life-giving ball of hellfire at the center of our solar system which dwarfs the Earth & all creatures on it by many magnitudes of size, a fact that we had to relearn the hard way: trial & error validated by the rote replication of others, AKA “science”) moving through the sky, as seen solely through the bodily eye’s visual field from the surface of the Earth. The Aten appears to the bodily eye as a garish light source that can be readily “banished” just by holding your hand in front of your eyes, but that doesn’t mean you’re also “blotting out the Sun” by vanishing the Aten with a wave of your hand. In this way, the “solar disk” of the Aten is merely a 2D optical illusion of a 3D(+) star. Atenists cannot tell the truth, they can only lie because they’re literally delusional in the clinical sense: they seriously believe their eyes tell them the whole truth of reality (“the weakness of thinking machines is that they believe all the information they receive & then react accordingly”). That was the ultimate heresy of Akhenaten: narcissism as the basis for lifelong religion-rather than an insignificant & temporary misconception of reality conceptualized by the minds of infants/small children for the sake of the individuation process-through malignant worship of an idealized False Self that isn’t meaningfully real when examined with any real degree of thoroughness. Today, experts agree that narcissism is, in fact, a mental illness characterized by veritable delusion, one which is formed as a psychological defense mechanism against reality itself (perceived as unfathomably cruel) in early childhood. The sickness/psychopathology is when it persists into adulthood, indicating that the individual has not successfully individuated & still thinks like a small child. Narcissism is often insinuated in modern pop culture with monsters like vampires, which are said to be unable to cross any threshold without first being invited to do so; this is because they do not possess the capacity for agency & autonomy, they must rely on others to validate their every move (SCIENCE RULEZ!!!!™️). In this way, they are neither alive nor dead. That, too, is acknowledged by experts as characteristic of narcissism. Ergo: “Never say yes when you mean no/I always said yes, see what has become of me.” Basically what I mean to say is that kent is describing the perils & consequences of enabling narcissistic abuse, and the “poison” is the cure: retreat into the depths of your own darkness-that of your unconscious mind-as illuminated by the people of Ancient Kemet in the Book of Coming Forth by Day/Coffin texts/so on & so forth. Infinitely clever all the way down; this is my favorite song on the album, no contest!

Jag hörde någon säga att Jocke och Sami kan vara oerhört dryga IRL, men det känns inte så utifrån hur de är här. Jag tror att kändisar är dryga för att de uppfattar folk som bemöter dem som oseriösa många gånger. Att de bemöter dem bara för att de är kända, något någon av Kentkillarna (beskyller Sami för det) en gång sagt att de inte uppskattar. Sedan tror jag till och med Martin kommenterade det där med att folk uppfattar dem som dryga och varför han trodde att man gjorde det.
