I got this game a few days ago, so good. A bunch of friends from a different game started foxhole and I'm so glad they pulled me in with them

most people might not understand this the tank battle may have been 6 hours but the setup time was most certainly long so it was prob like 8 hours for this whole thing and thats why i love this game

I am closing in on 1000 hours in Foxhole and I can absolutely say with confidence I was not bored at any point. You can rotate jobs all the time and it keeps the game almost endlessly fresh. The key though is the really relaxed people who want to have fun teaming up as solos on the front line or doing logistics. I've met so many people that have made the game for me. I spent 4 hours with a guy from France in a tank destroyer, just sitting on guard at a border. We talked, fought a bit and hung out like we knew each other for years. You really find great moments.

Lvl 140, 670+ hours, it comes down to an addicting and fun game loop at the core. At this point i have like 11 pages of in game friends, and a lot of daily partners. As someone who used to be in the 2k community, it seems like leaving a toxic ex. 07, see u in the field comrades

I agree with your comments about the lore. There are places and times to discuss less prevalent space marine chapters with different philosophies, but for the most part- space marines are not human. Even their intelligence is elevated to superhuman levels. The reality of their purpose is ever present- to die in combat serving the emperor. This is nearly every astartes' fate. On missions like the one in the Secret Level episode with Titus and his mentor's squad, especially against chaos magic, the marine stoicism guards them against only the most powerful emotional influences of chaos. Magic is cheating- especially chaos magic by a sorcerer of the chaos god of magic, lol. Titus is an absolute beast for beating that warp garbage. Astartes know that they are freaks of nature, but they are also above human level all the same, so most of them seem to take a serious, warrior-monk sort of approach to their lives. They just realize what they are, and the necessity of their existence. It's not fun for most of them, but they do it anyway because humanity needs them to.

515 hours, I agree something about this game keeps me coming back for more, it feels like you're playing in an action movie and it never gets old. Here's hoping it continues to get support for us veteran players who are still around.

Level 64 here. Picked up a few months ago. The game is extremely addictive and a very healthy mix of tough and rewarding. There's nothing like escaping "hell" on the pelican on the hottest LZ I've ever experienced in a game 😂

when you drop into a sos and everyone gives up as soon as you land with reinforcements expired than a new squad drops in and everyone struggles to finish the mission makes a fun moment to remember.

I guess doing only difficltu 10 or 9 when it was the hardest makes you progress quicker cuz I'm level 134 with only 355 hours

912hrs in, been here from the start of helldivers 2. All my buddies retired already, im the last one standing from my original team. But still playing this game on the daily basis, helping others gather samples or helping finish a set of mission, and of course, FOR DEMOCRACY!

I picked up HD2 the day it launched in early Feb ‘24. A mere week later I called it as my GOTY. 2024 went on to become the strongest year I can ever remember for game releases (Manor Lords, Enshrouded, Satisfactory, Star Trucker, Wukong to name but a few), but as the year went on and is now at an end, HD2 maintained its projected status as my GOTY. Everything about it is brilliant; the price point, the continual dropping of free content, the sound design, the aesthetics (its so visually good looking!), the brilliant bombastic musical score, the emote system (being able to hug a fellow Helldiver makes for amazing camaraderie), to the simple but highly effective ping and communication system. Everything just….works. Having a games master dynamically effect the efforts of the players is also an amazing touch that will only get better with time. Whenever I’m dropping down in my pod to a planet surface, having made difficult choices as to what cool toys to bring with me this time, teamed up with people I’ve never met before but we’re going to have an absolute blast, I get a rush of adrenaline and excitement….the next 40 minutes are going to be pure, unadulterated FUN….this game captures lightning in a bottle and delivers pure fun EVERY time. The last time I had this much continuous, laugh-out-loud FUN, I was playing Halo over 20 years ago. Thank you Arrowhead for continuously listening to your player base throughout the year. Thank you for setting a 60 day window and sticking to it in order to recalibrate various buffs and nerfs and deliver us a near perfect version of your design. Thank you for showing the AAA industry how to treat your player base with respect and deliver a product that continues to impress and doesn’t price gouge. Thank you for making a game that redefines fun and holds so much potential going into its second year with new stratagems, toys and a new faction to look forward to as we protect Super Earth. GOTY…?….more like game of the decade.

Honestly, UA-camrs make HD2's highest mode look so easy that I'm a little put off, I don't want to have buyer's remorse because the game was too easy to master and I got bored of it. I've been watching a lot of level 10 gameplay lately (figuring out if I want to buy into the game or not) and I've noticed that because one shot from a Rec. Rifle, EAT, Quasar or Railgun will kill almost anything, I don't see pub players dropping in with the Spear and I don't see anybody using team reloading - the Spear's extra power isn't needed and rapid follow-up shots aren't needed. I don't see much focus-firing either, OHKs mean there's no need to poke a few more rounds into a tough target to help out and it really looks to me like everyone is playing their own game besides occasionally passing some ammo. I see Bile Titans and Chargers getting their heads blown off within moments of spawning, I see various bot tanks getting blasted to bits moments after touching the ground, I see most enemy types below these elite threats dying to 3-5 rounds from just about any automatic weapon hitting the right place. In the last vid I watched, the UA-camr whiffed a Rec. Rifle shot on a gunship and the burst it shot back didn't even graze him while he sat there reloading and completely stationary; The vid made it look like the enemies have no danger to them. Can you assuage these fears at all?

The only negative is that the game is so good that I've maxed out all of the war bonds and upgrades and there's nothing left to get. Hopefully here with the upcoming changes they work in some things that fix that where you can make smaller mods with samples or other things. Other than that I agree, has kept me coming back each week since the beginning, where other games burn you out, this one is like therapy just to drop in for a mission or two to burn some steam.

With 1044 hours in, I'm mostly on 9s as it's the highest I can solo. I'm not there to help you, im here to finish the mission some love me some hate me

360 hours, lvl 93 here. This game is truly unique and I was a loyal citizen of Super-Earth for all this time, with all ups and downs, with all mistakes AH made, and with all of their best decisions. Can't wait for some new content.

while it is an awesome game. punishing difficulty? lol ... they need like 2 more levels above helldive. my friend and I are breezing through that shxt. we've had to resort to making it more difficult by giving ouservles limitations. doing no stratagem runs and landing hot in the middle of the mega nest.
