I'm not exaggerating when I say that the message of this song mostly goes over the heads of everyone who likes it. Political activity in Germany is basically dead. People moan and complain, but don't wanna change anything either. The only ones who want, and do work for drastic change is the fucking nationalists and Neo Nazis. It's an "Armutszeugnis" of the left here. They're busy impeding regular people of getting to work, by glueing themselves to the roads. You know, because that's a great strategy to have people listen to you and your cause. These motherfuckers have done so much damage, we might just be back in the 90s again. When idiots demanded nuclear energy to not be a thing. And then the idiots in charge, agreed with the idiots. And we also had to close down all sources of fossil fuel. (That was probably the only correct decision in this shitpile) So we need to go all-in on regenerative energy sources, like wind and solar energy. Sounds nice at first, but then you notice that you can't provide enough energy to this country all of a sudden. So now Germany BUYS nuclear energy from France. And we BUY oil from Russia. Just to keep things going. And the Russia thing has been a little bit complicated lately, I don't know why

I have visited Rammstein concert 2 months ago knowing only a few songs. It was a masterpiece. After a live performance I'm totally obsessed by Rammstein and have heard their other songs. And this one is my favorite. He is adoring her, his blood is boiling, she is not noticing him and he will be burned out in water. Burned in water, a paradox, as usual by Rammstein.

I think the song is about depression. The fire is a metaphor for depression and when he says that when he is alone he is drawn to the fire, he means when he is alone and nothing distracts him he is drawn to depression. And when he asks why the sun is round and why I don't become healthy, he means that as the sun has always been round so he will always be depressed

it's a mocking, ironic song about violent German neo-Nazis, whose violence is just a neurotic silent cry for love: Assholes!!!!

FINALLY someone reactes to the Donington version! I just LOVE how the drummer speeds the song way to much at the ending, and how everyone is just rocking off in sync! Love the camera angles from the side while they sing etc! I think all live footage was alot better before. Great reaction!
