Cranetown Valley Farm
Приєднався 21 вер 2012
You won't find Cranetown on any maps....its been gone a longtime and few of us are left that remember what was standing when our dads' spoke of it when we were kids. We're just a collection of neighbors and friends reminiscing with our old toys.

Autumn invitational plow day... pt1
#60 plow beam resetting.
Переглядів 1,2 тис.Місяць тому
Yes, beat me up. I should have removed each beam from the frame when doing the restore, but we've got no rocks here!. Well 40 years of no tillage I found some tree roots. A rusty fence row plow will trip, but was really hard to reset. Enjoy the lesson learned

I posted some short video of starting on the plow project. I didn't get the video of the rollout of the completed project, but it's done. it's too nice to use I'm told, but plowing was canceled when it was so wet, fenceposts were floating in post holes. maybe a fall plow day could arise. When I acquired the plow, the frame seemed good and was complete, but frogs were extremely worn, and rusted ...

Hesston 3800 hay rake
Переглядів 1 тис.Рік тому
Just trying to remember how to do this raking hay. I'm no expert and the last time I did this much I must have been 18. If you know where we're at, stop by tomorrow after 3pm and pitch a couple bales.

😊I greet you from Ukraine😊
The Super M wity the international plow was impressive
What state are yoi in??
@Northernman68 west central Wisconsin.
@@bueno7052ok thank you, I'm central Michigan. We enjoy plow days and do many tractor drives.
😊😊 tractors didn't have a high and low side transmission until the 1950s when U pull on the low side 😊😊 it will give U more pulling power the ground is very dry U will have 2 plow in 1ST gear like that 😊😊 OMG 1O 14 2O24
@@clarencetrice4442 thank you for your thoughts. I ran the SM at 2nd and 3rd gear early in the day to see what the new to me plow was gonna do. When we had many different models there and down shifting made sense to make it more enjoyable and realized it wasn't a race nor did anyone have hurry home to milk cows later.
Was very enjoyable day Wayne thank you
@@raylink2987 thanks for coming! If I can keep the plates spinning there could be more.
Ih Super chief , good stuff .
Yesserie
Thanks for watching. My earliest memory of fencing was with your dad and mine putting up a new line fence between our two farms. I was not old enough to know what all the laughing and talk was about then.
Why did IH go with the strange knotters when everyone else used Deering knotters l believe?
There's lots of opinions, but here's but one....Post in thread 'Deere - IH Balers, Who Copied Who????' forums.yesterdaystractors.com/threads/deere-ih-balers-who-copied-who.1298716/post-7871252
@@bueno7052 Thanks that is a very interesting site.
Looks great
Yes, i can note that i mis-spoke. The new bottoms are 14" super chief. The older plow chief bottoms are setting in the gutter awaiting salvage of usable parts for the next plow job....maybe the 4-14s on the IH #16h
I posted some short video of starting on the plow project. I didn't get the video of the rollout of the completed project, but it's done. it's too nice to use I'm told, but plowing was cancelled when it was so wet, fenceposts were floating in post holes. maybe a fall plow day could arise. When I acquired the plow, frame seemed good and was complete, but frogs were extremely worn and rusted out braces convinced me to find replacements. Acknowledgements to suppliers Mike Hartman who allowed me time to search thru his inventory and compare part numbers to find 14" bottoms for 3 replacements. . Duffield Equip for new shares, trash covers, adapters, bolts, offset washers, All States Ag Parts for paint on short notice. Miller Tire for the tubes and tires. Amazon for an unlimited supply of wire wheels, cleaners and copious amounts of grease. enjoy the show
❤
Just liked and subscribed. We have a number of older tractors. mostly letter series farmalls
I have lots of IH plow parts in Wi. Where are you located?
St croix county.
Sorry, no sound
I had to stop and back up. My PTO lever is too long and if I hit a bump, the seat knocks the PTO out of gear. I also had to swat some deer flies.
Neat! Im an IH man but never been around there balers. Hopfully i get to see one tomorrow at red power round up!
We ran it again today, I had so much fun much chatting with good friends i dont see too often and no video. Bale count showed 209. On out 4 acre patch. Last year was close to 300. Pretty dry here.
