UA-camers the best
If you sell yourself you can make at least 400 euro an hour.If I were you I'd start as soon as possible, life is short.
Yes yes........but the coffee and the food is amazing
It is a shame how bad my country works and it won't change because too many Italians don't bother about doing a good job
I live in Italy and I don’t have any regrets, infact my life has improved tremendously since moving to Italy.
so you basically spend 2000 euro a month just for living, without extraordinary expenses. that goes way beyond the average Milan salary.
not sure how you can finance yourself in a city like Milan just by doing dogsitting. Just the apartment you live in has to cost around 1000 euro per month
I lived for 20 years in Milan. Exactly 20 years ago my salary was 2500 euros a month, net of course. I was barely 30 years old. I don't understand how anyone can expect to live on 1,800 euros per month net in 2024. 1800 euros per month in 2024 in Milan is to be considered a low salary.
About residence permit, you do not have to go at all to ask when it is ready, they contact you when it is. Of course police officers were annoyed by.
You must live with your fiancé after marriage, not before. This is called adu.ltery
Hi Vlada! Let's say Milan doesn't represent Italy as a whole, there are so many places you can live a sweeter life, but of course you will find different problems. Burocracy is one hell of a obstacle and it is frustratingfor everyone! What you said about August made me smile, it is sad but true.
don't worried enjoy my country i pay already almost 50.000 usd for lawyer and immigration and after 8 years i must wait another 4 year to remove a conditional from my future green card. Enjoy Italy you spoke with somebody i spoke just with a lawyer well paid
The overage salary in Milan is minimum €2000. Try London, overage £1.500/1800, rent for a room minimum £ 500/800, 1 or 2 hrs outside the city. Between the cost of the bus/underground etc..money are gone.
Milan and the northern Italian main cities are rich cities because the climate is not very good and there's no better alternative than working all the time. If you go to better climate regions people don't like to work because they want to enjoy the nice weather
I love Italy but everyone ther has the sickness call pv poca vollia …!!no one move no one cares ..no one makes any money no one gets ahead except for the politicians..prostitut’s ….beautiful country but the work ethic is very sad …I’m doing my Italian citizenship here in Canada Madonna Mia !!..go here go there to get answers is just disgusting….i feel for the people of Italy and even more for the young people that have no life or future …go to work for $1000 euros a month ..what the heck that’s nothing pay this pay that and your left with nothing …. I hope one day to meet a beautiful woman from Italy and take her back to Canada with me to marry and have a family I go every year to Italy for the last 5 years and will continue to due for ever
"This is a new year problem to me"... we are in September...
I am italian, I grew up in Milano and I conferm everything you said.. of course as italian I don't have to deal with immigration policies, but I have to apologize for that.. it is because we sadly always had conservative government. Anyway I wouldn't suggest people to come here to live.. unless you have a very good wages. I personalli move away from italy when I wasn't able to gain enough... and definitely don't stop living inside Milan.. it is a beautiful city but it became very very expensive. Ferragosto is just a little day off I mean.. I think it is ok.
It is normal not to feel secure when you are self employed. You start to blame yourself but you must accept each day how it comes. One month that goes bad you can fix the next month……. Everything will get better……
Great video Vlada.. frustration is the word!
Italy is a poor and shitty country with no future. I'm italian and cant wait to go away for good.
I'm Italian, born and raised in Milan, even though I've been living in Canada for a while now, unfortunately everything you said is true but don't get fooled by the air quality websites or stories, while it is definitely an unfortunate location because of the the mountains preventing fresh wind to blow and remove the smog, the situation is not as bad as they picture it, different websites give different air pollution data and not all of them are reliable, try to do a deep research on the more serious ones and try not to worry to much about it! My grandma lived in Milan her whole life and just passed at 96! And she's been healthy until the end
Living in Milan is not really like living in Italy… is a very different place than all of other cities, super expensive, and for the elites . If you’re not rich, don’t go to live there.. 😅
Ciao Vlada, I love this 'verismo moderno' that you displayed in this video!😍
Buona continuazione :D
I agree with the author of the video, I am an Italian living abroad, and everytime I visit Italia I come across this absurd situation in the public services like city administrative offices or bank or post offices. The employees are usually very arrogant and mostly very incompetent and don´t seem to get anything done blaming the customers for their mistakes, giving wrong advices and denying it when confronted with the facts. Even the city police or guardie di pubblica sicurezza or even the carabinieri seem annoyed when one wants to file a complain or denounce a crime, they try to avoid it suggesting even you to forget about case. It is basically because those lucky enough to get those positions were not originally interested in doing that particular job, just wanted to get a public job to feed their family with the least effort,
People complain of most of these same things in nearly every large city in the world. Frustrating bureaucracy? Literally everywhere in some form. This is adulting in the 21st century. They told you the kits were coming in a week and you still went every day? That's a "you" problem. 😂 Two weeks closed in August? Take a vacation!!! Plan your vacation in advance. I wish American companies would shut down for two weeks every summer and still pay my salary. Lowering expectations and accepting the reality of one's situation are the key to happiness in many instances. Otherwise, you always have the option to vote with your feet.
Hi , I think on your video you said that because you didn't have the renewed Permesso you couldn't travel out of Italy . I am sorry but that is not true , when you apply for the permesso the receipt you get is in fact your temporary Permesso and you can travel with that and your passport of course . I love Italy and moving to Italy was the best thing I have ever done for myself . I do not live in a city but in campagna and life in a small village is a lot more tranquil. Best of luck.
When I earned a lot of money when I was younger I had a fantastic monthly net income in Tuscany in my export of fashion items from fabrics to clothes to fashion accessories. Always traveling up and down Italy and Paris, Frankfurt, Milan, London, Istanbul, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Beijing every year at least twice. Self employed like you. Busy life! But when you have business you cannot abandon it…….. so it depends on your job of course and your luck. But not always the same when you are self employed as an earthquake in one of your markets can finish the market for you for a few seasons. As well as being upset about the suffering of the people in the earthquake. I had 3 major markets with terrible earthquakes and 2 markets with the start of a war. At the point these 2 markets ended for ever. These factors do not help your business. But it depends in which business you are in…… I added some of my experience. The reason for this was because you asked if anyone wanted to share their experiences in Italy. I didn’t live in Milan but I had far more than an average Milan income without the Milan costs of living.
But we must not forget that is we lived in Amsterdam or Frankfurt or London our utilities and rent and onthky costs in general et alone eating out would cost us a little fortune. I am often in London and Paris but I know where the locals go so I save money but to live there would be incredibly difficult and makes ends meat at the same time. Specially London……..
I have been in Italy for 42 years an find my banking AP perfect. I compare with my English app which has a lot Less functions and is less straight forward. This is my experience. I don’t live anywhere near the Economic triangle with congested traffic, high rent and house prices with fog often reducing visibility. Very happy to live where I live and I see the the mountains with snow every day. No smog and sunny almost every day in winter whereas the valleys are overcast until 11:30 am at least. As to the rest of the digital world. I have all the certified ID and certified email address to do anything without having to travel anywhere. Have many friends and work contacts In Lombardy. I know that the first few years are difficult to get used to anywhere new in the world for anyone. But everything will fit into place……. Take care and I wish you good luck….
OMG the online banking -- yes!!! I thought it was just me, I 00% agree with the points made. In fact all online services are about 10y behind the rest of the world (or at least how things are in the North Europe)
Hi Vlada, I really enjoy your videos! I have a question about the tax rate for self-employment. I noticed there's a 5% tax on 75% of the income-could you clarify how that works in Italia?
Come vedi è piuttosto complicato.
Hi Vlada, thanks for the nice video. I lived in Florence for 3 years and can surely say that it was surely my most favourite place. But as you said, the salary is quite low compared to the expenses and the bureaucracy related to especially permesso makes life very complicated. Especially limits heavily how you can travel internationally for work or vacation. This finally motivated us to move out of italy eventually. Living in Munich for past 4years.. although Munich is no Florence in terms of quality of life or beauty. Life is much easier as things just work!!!
This is tragically classic but it has little to do with Italian culture in my opinion. We would love to live in a place where public services, public administration etc.. perform ok but Italy has a huge maintenance and management problem: it's not culture, it's bad management and crappy governments.
È molto costoso e perderebbero soldi e voti.
You wanted to go to a sunny place and you moved to Milan😂😂😂😂 also, complaining about pollution in Milan😂😂😂😂😂 really?! 😂😂😂😂
Thanks for the video. I empathize with your concern about air pollution. I live in the southern part of the US and am deeply concerned about the air pollution here. In addition to the impact it has on me, I see so many small children with asthma that it is heartbreaking. Air pollution has become a big problem in so many places now.
it is a joke of a country
of course u don't like it, ur staying in Milan
Italian culture sucks. We don't want illegal immigration but we take months and we treat like a stupid someone like you who's doing everything to have the right documents. I'm italian but this country is crazy and we deserve nothing.
well history-wise italian culture doesnt suck. Actually, one of the best cultures in the world talking about ancient Rome, Florence etc. But i've heard that Italy has a lot of problems. Though, here in Russia it is not better. Mortgage up to 30%. impossible to buy an apartment.
@altastagione yes ancient culture was great but it seems we've forgotten every good things we did. I meant currently italian culture, maybe behaviour, organization could have been better words to describe what I wanted to say. Here we didn't know a lot about Russia, just news about war, but I can imagine it shouldn't be a good period for russian citizens too.
@@TheGianmarco41 yeah I can relate.Based on Italian TV etc. not the best period. I have a friend from Bari who says the same thing as you. I hope Italy will be great again :)
Unless you’re rich, don’t move to Italy
Sorry for the Italian Bureaucracy. The worst in the whole world Life in Milan is simply unaffordable. Move from there. Air Quality: Outside Pianura Padana is good Ferragosto: It's a big problem that I hate too
My dear Milan isn't Italy
if you wanna live in Mlan you must have a high skilled job so you can earn a lot of money otherwise don't live in a city like Milan because it's expensive. Smog there is every big cities Beurocrazy is awful in Italy and that is a fact, I am Italian and I left Italy 30 years ago and can say that unfortunately is still the same nothing has changed :) Italy has some other issues like low salay but it is an amazing country if you have money and if you go there for holidays I would suggest you to go to live somewhere else if it is not not meeting your expectations
7th year in Florence and Italy is the 6th country I've lived in. I love it. Overcoming bureaucracy is something that will exist anywhere. I do think I have one thing in my life which keeps me happy here. I'm a motorcyclist.. My wife and I always have destinations along gorgeous country roads to go to festivals and amazing lunches and to see amazing sites. It never gets old. We have also been able to easily ride the Balkans and many European countries. This is a great life. I see the foreigners trying to spend every weekend in the same town and just visit places by train - this would make me focus on the negatives and headaches like you do. Good luck anywhere you go and stay positive! Italy is amazing for me, a Palestinian, I'm so lucky to be safe and free and healthy.
You are welcome. No Country Is perfect.Italy Is not😂 Buon Natale a tutti
Milan is the worst and shitty town of Italy. You made the worst choice ever to live. Other regions are not like that
Italy is a good country just for 1 week in holiday but for living is a totsl mess nightmare!moreover population italy is the oldest of the world with average age of 47 years old!In Italy everything is old, population is old, culture is old and really small mind, everything is slow!Italy is a too old backward ridiculous country for living! This is the reality!I m wealthy italian guy who lives in Tuscany, the best county in Italy, but i m honest and i have travelled a lot all europe,i know well Europe and Italy is really poor backward small mind country. Then in the summer there is huge hot and humidity. It s impossible go out in the summer because it s too hot and too humidity.
I lived in Milan for one year when I was 24 (many years ago now) and I knew I could not stay there for life for all the reasons you mention here. I was sick throughout the year, and I had never been a sick person. I absolutely hated the bureaucracy, and also the cheating mentality of some of the people in the company I worked for. I left every weekend to stay with relatives in Florence because I found Milan oppressive for people who were not super rich.
You should have issues with law
