Reality. You see trucks parked all over and a guy bumbling around by you and hunting near you...
Stand 1 is the answer. (It’s because of the snow)
What camera is that
Did you say November 18th? That’s the middle of Missouri rifle season. Where’s your orange hat and vest
Whatscrape
A circle is 360 degrees
Looks good did ya'll do the same in 2024.
Way to video a illegal shot.........not suppose to night 🌙.........
It wasn't an illegal shot bud. The camera loses light before ethical shooting light ends and ethical shooting light ends before legal shooting light ends, especially on a cloudy day.
Nice deer bro
Thanks!
I have a question about a cluster of scrapes near bedding. What is the distance between scrapes in the cluster, two or three feet or 50 to 60 yards in a 100-yard radius, & how close to the bedding area will the cluster be?
I want to find an area with quite a few scrapes at most in a 30-40 yard radius! The smaller the radius the more concentrated the converging movement will be.
@TacticalApproachOutdoors found multiple scrapes today about 10 yards of each other 6 total. The scrapes were about 2 ft round and one bush had a rub on it. The area is very thick on the right and on backside of thicket is a field.
Great video. Same situation I'm in with a big 10 that doesn't visit community scrapes. I call him ghost
Thanks! I hope you end up catching up with him! He's gona require some creative tactics by the sound of it.
Its mine, you can have it lol
I feel like it's a lot harder to self film hunts with a DSLR than a 4k camcorder. What do you think
I definitely will agree with that. I really like that quality from the camera, but the overall ease of use as a self filmer is difficult. I kick around going back to a camcorder a lot.
Hey Austin! Glad to see you back posting videos. Congratulations on the marriage, congrats on the new house, and congrats on growing your business. Keep us posted on your progress! BTW; that 2 year old has some definite potential!
Thanks buddy! It's nice to be back, I'm looking forward to getting more videos out. That 2 year old is nice isn't he! He'll be one to keep an eye on over the next couple years if he can survive.
I got one for you. My buddy had to fix a stand and needed help. We went in and found a large scrape 100 yards from his stand. I grabbed a branch, “raked” in a bunch of leaves, pines cones etc into scrape, and put a couple drops of doe estrous on it. We spent 45 minutes at his stand (he never left my sight; he’s a prankster). When we came back out past that scrape, it was completely cleaned out!!! I put a camera on it the next day after sitting 50 yards downwind from it, never got one picture.
Well that's crazy!
Nice deer brother
The wind don’t swirl down there? Trying to learn how to hunt hill country
It'll swirl a little bit down there, depending on where you are in the bottom, but the falling thermals will keep your scent down in the bottom as you walk in! So, the swirling wind won't matter on your access as much as it does on your actual set. When hunting hill country it's important to constantly check your wind with milkweed and compare the "actual" wind to the forecasted wind. The thermal influence, vegetation and terrain can often times give you a different wind than what's forecasted. You can use this to your advantage, to "cheat" the wind, as long as you know what it's doing!
Amen, 2 or 3 year old, not yet, maybe in a year or two. 😂
Fingers crossed he makes it! He’s an awfully good looking deer if he’ll survive a couple more years.
What did you use for whether info.
I use Weather Underground!
Headed to Southern Illinois October 1. Would yall hunt corn or bean fields?
I’d personally be searching for the fresh feed trees about that time!
Is it a good idea to hunt over a big rub?
Personally I don’t find hunting directly over big rubs to be something I’ve focused on. I do however put a lot of stock in big rubs to help me locate primary bedding areas and main travel routes for mature bucks! So even though I may never hunt over a huge rub, my best locations have always had them nearby.
Bout 2 and a half
Take a drag line for scent and put code red dominant buck urine on it and walk a loop around and set up and he think u are another buck coming in his territory and smell him and come bsck and track right to u !
Deer really are curious creatures!
They really are! Had a doe and fawn checking out my seed buckets and cooler today too.
Best way to hunt by far me and my pap do this and we both fall asleep because it is so serene and peaceful. Thankful of God's creation
Excited to see some big deer turn up on this channel this fall! Keep grinding 💪
Big things are coming my friend! This season is going to be fun, we’re ready to get after it that’s for sure. Hope you have some promising bucks turning up also!
Can I have one? I asked my wife and she's OK with it...
Im gonna try to use my bullman platform ROS and attach the v-step with my ros strap in conjunction together... platform & ring of steps set all on one ratchet strap ! Use a piece plywood in v-step for platform ... Or would the v-step platform/ plywood be extra and unnecessary ?
It wouldn’t be necessary I’d think. Sometimes I will use the inside of the post to push off of if needed. It really just depends on how comfortable it is for you!
Nice!
🤙🏼🤙🏼
To bad you can't put cameras out on public anymore. Congrats. Nice buck.
I know! It’s a bummer that’s for sure. I definitely have learned a lot using them throughout the years.
Welp they put an end to that
Unfortunately! Kind of a bummer, but oh well right. A lot of states are turning to this now.
Loved meeting both of y’all and hope to see yall again next year!
Thanks for stopping by man! Great meeting you also. We will plan on being back! We love that show.
Wassup!!! Just seen yall tonight at the deer expo great videos yall produce!!!! Hope to see yall again!

I appreciate it bud🤙🏼
@@TacticalApproachOutdoors no problem man
Proof that you don’t need a $1,500 bow to kill a giant. Love the solo cam! Well done!
100%!! I love those old school Mathews, been shooting this bow for 20 years now.
Great job! People do not understand how much time and energy goes into hunts like yours. It is a process. Congratulations on a stud buck and a job well done. Great story telling. I love it! I do the extra work like you do and it is so satisfying when you reach your goals! Curt WhiteTAILS Deer Hunting
I appreciate that bud, I’m glad you enjoyed the video! I’ve always wanted my channel to be more about showcasing the 365 day process over just the hunt itself, a lot of work goes into consistent success. It very much is satisfying when all of that work comes together! Keep up the good work bud🤙🏼
@@TacticalApproachOutdoors I have hunted a private farm in upstate NY for 30+ years. I did not grow up around hunting and everything that I know I learned from the guys at the farm. I still hunt the farm, but since COVID I have been pounding the public. I love the scouting, finding sign, interpreting deer behavior. I was fortunate enough to score on a Pope & Young public land buck my second year but it’s not easy. I have got my ass kicked 2 out of 3 seasons so far but I am learning every time. I am looking to be competent enough in my woodsmanship to start being more consistent in my ability to get on board more mature deer. Maybe not harvest all of them but at least feel like I am in the game. I just can’t get enough information. We are so lucky in our hunting community that so many people are willing to communicate and share. It makes us well rounded as a hunter and you get to meet great people along the way. Best of luck preparing for this fall. I have 2 beasts on my radar and have found 3-4 other solid places to put cameras out and inventory these areas over the summer.
Good deal!!
I’m pretty pumped to get cameras set here in the next month and see what that property has to offer!
Let's go!
It’s almost time!!
This made my day! So wholesome I exploded out of my love hose!

Magnum!!! I’m gonna guess he just got a free pass to the front of the “target bucks” line ??
100% he did!! He bought himself a VIP ticket haha
Now you have a piece of the puzzle on where he likes it, could help hunting him down
Hey quick question, Did you guys have to get a permit to film on public in South Dakota. We're going to hunt on public ground out in SD this year and noticed a permit may be required to film. Would love to have some feedback on if ya did have to get a permit and if so what was the process, awesome video btw I really enjoyed it.
Hey fellas! Thanks for the comment, I’m glad you enjoyed the video! We personally didn’t have any issues with filming, but we also haven’t been out there in a few years. So, I would have to look up the regs and see if they have changed or not. I wish you luck though, we’ve always enjoyed hunting SD through the years.
That's awesome!
Incredible find!
And hogs.
They definitely do also unfortunately
