🔥🔥 great video
🔥🔥
People who do computer science degrees at universities arent strategic at all 😂
Yh nah that looks long as hell. Networking Knowledge is nice to have but actually becoming a Network Engineer looks like hell
IS THAT MOHAMMED salah ??LOL😃 A CCNA candidate here also graduating in 3 month so, related to you and your channel since like first day keep going man! since i'm from africa and can not afford the boson practice exam can u mention any free alternatives?
cloud/network engineering go hand in hand - this is what im doing
@@Xarishher every network engineer should be familiar with cloud! Both great Fields!
I already have my Security Plus, and I'm currently studying CCNA...but I'm thinking about going to Net +, instead. LOL
I say go for CCNA
@@TechyChriss If u want to do Network Eng then go for CCNA If u want to do Cloud then go for CompTIA Network+ - since networking is jus a sub-skill - you dont need to be an expert in Networking.
Chat GPT is huge for studying. I used it alot for my sec +. "Explain this to me like I'm 14" is GOATED
Big Facts!
What do you think about Neil Anderson CCNA Cource?
I never used it but I hear its good
You pass I subscribed learn learn learn
Really happy for you, Congrats! I wanted to give it in December as well but then i just couldn't, i was so prepared and had revised everything too.. now I feel i would have to revise it all again and cant push myself through to study but i gotta give it, it's been long since im studying for it :D
just pace yourself, you got this!!!
@@TechyChriss <3
I'm going in to test tomo!! I'm definitely praying for good luck.
Good luck
good luck, let us know when you pass!
@ I passed :)
@@alexanderboehm7473 less goooooo well done bro
AM BUSY WITH IT APRIL I IL BE WRITING MY EXAM I CANT WAIT TO GET THE CERTIFICATE
Do you have a roadmap of resources and certs that a newbie could use to become a network engineer?
I totally agree with you my brother. By the word thank you for the mobile application for the CCNA . I needed something like that and I got it.
🔥🔥
This so true not forgetting the pics of serial numbers on kit
Please share the Jeremy's IT labs link. Thanks!
Tech is far from cooked, thats for damn sure, but computer science degrees certainly are cooked. I did one and graduated 5 years behind the industry. Best bet now is start your own homelab and take advantage of all the highly accessible *FREE* education that's on this platform right here. All the tech tubers worth a damn have full blown courses for free in their playlists.
🔥🔥
how long did it took you to pass?, time wise. I'm going for my 3rd try.
For me about 1 month of hard studying
Thanks for this
No problem! Glad it helped.
I'm currently on my tech grind right now I got caught up in the cyber security hype, but I like you really started to like Networking. I will pursuing a career in network engineering. Nice Video!
You will love networking!
Net + is a great world wide cert! Unlike Cisco which is a Vendor cert. Net + most employers would rather see! Great Video!
Hey Chris!! Love your video man!. I teach at the local City college CISCO Introduction to Networks and what you are doing is a real world example on what its like to work in the Industry. Great VID!
I've been a sysadmin for 4 years now but always avoided the CCNA lol Anyway, started the JITL course and it's surprisingly interesting definitely a lot of information but JITL is so well laid out.
You got this
How were the PBQs and how did the online resources prepare you for those? I am currently studying for my Network+ exam.
Studying Net+ This was cool to see. Does Messer provide enough info to pass Net+?
@@TechGrowth-y3l absolutely, I just posted a video about net+ you should check it out
Bro is gonna blow up
🤝🤝
I just started out with UA-cam and Chris got good vlog videos with lighting, camera angles. I also think he will blow up soon!🎥
🔥🔥🔥
The videos you are using to study for your CCNA, CBT Nuggets INE and Udemy, are what tell you what and how to configure. They are giving you the "labs" to perform.
This is a home lab, for my home network environment.
I think I follow you on TiKtok because of CCNA topics.
No mention of the Jeremy’s flash cards? Hmmm…wdyt of them?
They are good but I made my own flash cards. I prefer that instead
@@TechyChrissyo bro i made like +1.5k flash cards from questions on material is that enough for passing?
@@muhametshahini1968you should also do some labs
Congratulations on passing. I just started Jeremy’s IT lab for CCNA. I’m going to check out the other recommendations you made. Good luck with your career bro!!!
Good luck. I passed it in December of 2023 on my first try mainly using Jeremy's IT Lab. Use EVERYTHING he provides such as his flashcards on anki, his slides, and do his labs repeatedly. It's challenging but fun.
Have you ever used or are you familiar with Kevin Wallace's CCNA exam prep? What are your thoughts on his learning content?
@@A-mz4rc I personally wasn’t a big fan of his CCNA course. It seemed to be all over the place. I like his CCNP course better
Great informative video!!
Good motivation here. Been in IT/Networking for few years here now. Been trying to lock in the CCNA, suck at tests and failed first one by 2 questions. But this is good motivation to keep studying and retake the test
congrats bro! i'm currently studying for Net+. CCNA seems like a beast
good luck!
Heyy, i plan on writing mine this year, been studying for about a month, how long did it take you to study? Also i have been lacking a lot of confidence in writing the exam, what would you advice?
You just have to tell yourself you will do well. Cant let the imposter syndrome control you. speak it into existence
What software are you using
Packet tracer
Good luck mane
Good vid💪🏾got network + and security + been trying to break into the field
@@ZoviiDaGreat good luck! Stay around I’ll be giving some advice on how I got in!
@ yes sir, ill actually be filming some videos as well about how i got my certs too, so i can document my journey until i get a job.
Great vid!!!!
How important is scripting as a network engineer ?
@@Robdoodle it depends the role you have on your team, I know some guys on my team who use it heavily. I don’t use it much personally but it’s great to know
Very nice
🔥
I graduated with a degree in network infrastructure and am currently studying for a CCNA. I did a work-study for my college, and they gave me a Cisco 2960, but I’m setting up my home lad with it.
If i get the CCNA can i get a job with no experience? Or do i still need to do helpdesk
it is possible but difficult.
Hard to get a network engineer role without experience because its too much responsibility involved. Even for a junior role.
Some of those elements are the same but most of those task that you do would be for a NOC technician (at least where I work). My main focuses are new deployments and making the decisions on how it's implemented. There are some backlog task like updating documentation or cleaning up old MPLS configurations or admin groups that don't exist anymore. The long teams meetings that could have been in an email is still a big problem though.
@@DJIceCream very true! Every team is different, this was a slower week at work. Task vary depending on what’s going on in the company.
Nice video my guy 👌🏿. Keep up the hard work and you'll keep moving up! My last project was validating firmware on 122TB ssds. For those in training Cisco and NetApp have network simulators that help with certification scenario questions.
