Tohoku Japan - Travel Video
Переглядів 4434 роки тому
I have had the amazing opportunity to live in Akita Prefecture, located in the Tohoku region of Japan, for 2 years. From the videos that I have took over these past 2 years from my travels around Tohoku, I have compiled a travel video focusing on this region of Japan. To me, Tohoku is truly a special and beautiful place with bountiful sights to see and magnificent nature to experience. I apolog...

Hey guys, I worked with Dr Luther, and I passed my Nclex RN in my 3rd attempt he has got all the material and study plan to take pass the nclex be it RN or PN. I advise everybody preparing for the nclex to contact him
Hi thank you for this video. I just want to know about the supplemental application is it like questions to answer in this application or do we have to write any personal statement or essay. I have been working in nursing home full time from last two years. Do I have to submit something from my employer regarding experience letter. I am just confused how the supplemental application @ubc because Its nothing mention like essay. Please reply me back and explain. Really appreciate!!
This video motivated me before passing n3 in December, I also managed to pass n2 this july with similar score (142 ✨) By now, have you tried n1? If yes, how much time did it take? Any recommendations?
Thank you for sharing it. Your advice a great.
Thank you thank you for putting me on to the summit college lecture. I am watching the spider-man lectures as those recommended and have the notes.. honestly, chefs kiss! Reviewing content first seems like it’s helping me a LOT better. I have also been telling people that nclex crusade international is more updated than mark k & they actually break down HOW to tackle questions with you in his video. I watched him during nursing school & my exams results shot up & I knew how to finally answer questions.
Thanks for your comment! Yes definitely content review before tackling questions is an important part. Best wishes to your studies!
@@Vincent-ft3ll Hi Vincent, one more question. I just bought Princeton review and notice these questions are a little different than archer. Archer is still vague but Princeton makes you critically think a little more in my opinion. Which one would you say (if you can) is more like how nclex ask's their question. I feel as if Archer is just knowing fact(content) where Princeton is both but also critical thinking.
Hey guys, I worked with Dr Luther, and I passed my Nclex RN in my 3rd attempt he has got all the material and study plan to take pass the nclex be it RN or PN. I advise everybody preparing for the nclex to contact him
Thank you for your advices, I used the materials you recommended plus Kaplan, I like the summit college NCLEX review a lot! Passed with 75 on my first try!
Congratulations! Good job on passing! It isn’t easy.
Congratulations! You put in some seriously dedicated work and it paid off. I like how organized you were. I am an older CRNE nurse looking to take the NCLEX and I am going to use your study style. I was leaning towards Archer only but I might consider adding Uworld as well.
Thanks for your comment! All the best in studying!
I've been STRUGGLING with window condensation. Gonna try the bubble wrap method. Thank you so much for the tips!
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching.
Hey! Do you know where can I check the admission for the 6 credits anatomy and physiology?
Check on the UBC BSN website under Admission Requirements.
Congrats
wow In Korea house is really warm floor heating system I don't konw why many people try tip in Japan in winter? like that cold in building?
There’s floor heating in Japan too, but it’s not very prevalent from what I’ve seen.
Thank you so much!!! For this video this is gold! I’m taking some courses in Winnipeg, I took a writing class and I’m taking human anatomy, psychology, kin and I am aware of 48 non nursing credits. I’m not sure if my courses can be transferred to ubc and if they will get accepted..If you can guide me with some information that would be wonderful
I would recommend you contact the admissions office as they are better off in assisting you with regards to credit transferability.
@@Vincent-ft3ll they never respond :(
Finally, a detail review on resources used for NCLEX exam Thank you
Thanks for the comment!
Quite informative
Very thorough review... Congratulations 🎊 Boss!
Thanks for watching.
Hi, How about the examinations? How to assess performance? Paper examination based? Thank you.
Similar to other courses (exams, papers, quizzes). For clinical, it is pass or fail.
🙏🏼 thanks for your review
No problem.
I PASSED the NCLEX yesterday with 145 questions!!! I will say that the NCLEX is truly a test of content (on a much more fundamental and safety aspect) & how to understand what the question is really asking. Just tips on what I did to prepare (roughly 5 weeks, everyday 6-8 hrs): 1.) 7 day review by NCLEX Crusade international on UA-cam (Free to watch), 2.) UWorld practice question (Did roughly 1800 Qs altogether; 75-125 questions daily + going through rationales on mistakes or questions I guessed on) 3.) UWorld practice assessment (2 100 question assessments) 4.) Certain Mark Klemic review audios (Specifically the prioritization/delegation section)
Congratulations on passing!
So happy for you!!! Thank you for sharing ❤
Thanks for watching.
Thank you sir for mentioning our channel. We are proud of you and congratulations for Passing the NCLEX.
Thanks for commenting and thanks for your videos. Your strategies were very helpful.
Thank you
No problem.
Thanks! This was one of the best and transparent videos I've viewed! I appreciate you and congratulations!
Glad you found it helpful. Thanks for your comment.
Is saunder Nclex Rn referral notes is good or what
Are you talking about the comprehensive review? It is okay for reference in my opinion.
@@Vincent-ft3ll yeah
@@bhoemey just get to him on WhatsApp or text he will explain everything to you how he works okay
Congratulations! Big weight off your chest, I bet?!
Thank you! Yes, I wanted to make sure I passed on the first try so I didn't have to retake it haha.
Can you share some of your materials?
All the materials I used have been linked in the description. The Your Nursing Educator's guide I cannot however, you have to purchase it.
I laugh in swahili
Thank you for that very informative video. May I ask like a random question. Can I use my NCLEX for USA and Canada?
Yes. The NCLEX was originally from the US and subsequently adopted by Canada. If you take the NCLEX in Canada, it’s recognized in the US.
good advice
Thanks.
heyy can i ask if the nursing program is open to internatinoal students in UBC?
Hello. Unfortunately it isn’t!
Thank You! I like the way you studied...that seems more helpful to focus on a category.
Thanks for watching!
I used the same resources that everyone else did, but New World didn't work for me. It is great, which is why I was surprised I didn't pass. I started studying both Kaplan, (part of our program), and New World, listened to Mark Klimek and I went to all 145 questions. I think I should have studied more. or not so many questions? Or maybe more? I was near passing in all categories, above in one and below in another. I will check out Princeton, Archer, and Summit. Simple Nursing is great! Did you take notes and study them? or just do tests?
Yeah not everyone will pass with just UWorld and Mark Klimek lectures. I took notes after watching videos.
@@Vincent-ft3ll I passed on Wednesday, taking notes and basically finishing the Kaplan q bank… I think I had a lot of anxiety the first time….which can get you no matter how much we may study. Thank you again!
@@shannonbacon817 Congratulations!
Congrats Vincent!!!
Thanks.
Very useful video ..Thankyou 🇱🇰

No I can’t unfortunately. You will have to purchase it from Your Nursing Educator.

You only need Remar :) Good Luck !
Hi! I’m so full of joy, I took my NCLEX for the 4th time, I got 130 questions total.37 SATA,19 Priority,2 dosage calculation, 6pharma,a lot of teaching questions. I FINALLY PASSED. I’m willing to share my process, materials, tips and tricks with anyone interested.inbox if interested.

Hi, did you do Summit’s College spiderman or their comprehensive?
Both are very useful together.
I'm proud of you man, you've probably worked so hard.
Thanks.
Hello ! is this video about the RN programme? Because I wasn't sure about the meaning of 'nursing' since there are many nurses like NPL and RN
RN program.
What other Netflix shows do you recommend apart from Terrace House? :) Btw, great tips! :)
Thanks for your comment. So I don't have any particular recommendations, but whatever anime, dramas, or movies that interest you and you can watch with Japanese subtitles.
I liked Alice in Borderland.
@@staciestudies4177 That’s a good drama.
So, besides watching movies and Manga you just took 3 somatome books to pass N3?
Yeah mostly.
@@Vincent-ft3ll Thanks. Your video give a lot of information to me. I'm planning to take JLPT N3 on Dec.
@@grandblue3539 No problem dude. Good luck and hope it goes well.
Should you take other science prerequisites or is the approved anatomy and physiology courses enough?
Approved anatomy and physiology courses plus English if needed.
Hi, I know this program is very competitive. I wonder if there is any thing that I can do to improve the chance of getting enrolled. Because I don’t have any healthcare related studying or working experience. And I’m already 36. I will graduate from UBC 1 year graduate program in this August. And apply for PR. I want to use the time wisely and see if it possible for applying 2023 entry. Thanks for reading this msg.
Hello! When you take the CASPer test, make sure you study and prepare for the test thoroughly. Research strategies, do practice questions, and make sure your typing speed is fast. CASPer is an important part of the application process. It's okay if you don't have any healthcare experience! I think it may be great for your application if you have some sort of activity (work, extracurricular, volunteer, etc) that you do consistently that helps the community while strengthening your own personal and professional development.
@@Vincent-ft3ll thank you Vincent! I’m thinking that all applicants can meet the requirements of this program, that’s why they can apply and be reviewed. How some of them get into this program while others not? I mean they all meet the requirements, right? I think that should be the part I’m working for.
@@arial3806 When you apply, you're ranked against other applications based on your GPA, CASPer scores, and your supplemental application. That's how they decide.
@@Vincent-ft3ll yep, my gpa makes me feel a little bit depressive, thank you so much
Hi Vincent, please can you send me your your email or contact. Thanks
I had a question, can high school students not directly apply for nursing at ubc at the Vancouver campus ? and do you know why that is not allowed because it seems dumb. Thank you for the info !
High school students cannot apply directly to UBC Nursing at the Vancouver campus. The nursing program at UBC Vancouver is a second degree program meaning prior undergraduate credits are required. UBC Okanagan offers direct entry from high school. Also the UBC Vancouver Nursing program is an accelerated program, meaning it is completed over 20 months. Direct entry from high school programs usually take 3 years.
@@Vincent-ft3ll what program can I take before applying for nursing ?
@@navneetsandhu6063 You can take any program you want as long as you take the equivalent prerequisite courses.
@@Vincent-ft3ll thank you so much. May I know what program you took before applying ?
@@navneetsandhu6063 I graduated from a science degree majoring in Anatomy & Cell Biology from McGill University. You don't need to do a science degree, just do the prerequisites!
So im going to major soon in biology, but I am doing an associates program for 2 years. Can that 2 year degree get me into nursing or is it better for me to get a bachelor instead?
You might want to double check with the admissions office!
Thanks for the vid, super helpful
No problem!
And the number one reasons is that Japanese are kept as a totalitarian slaves with Anime for centuries - they never complains no matter what you put on their shoulders . You do not need to build a paper house to keep air flow in the summer . You can make easy ventilations that could be shut down . Anyway working like crazy getting paid that hardly can sustain a family and in winter living under electrical blanket after hard days work in 5*5 shithole . And over all they brainwashed that they are in the dream land with the fucking nose up . No wonder they are dying - a human being unable to survive such slavery .
These are great tips! I am interested in how the heating table works. I moved from the U.S. to a cement block house in Mexico with no insulation and no heating. When it is 48 F outside (9C), it's the same indoors. I did not realize this when I moved here. At 70 years of age, it's a challenge. In addition, ceilings are vaulted and layout is open plan. So space heaters don't really handle the living space except for the smaller bedroom. The space heater could get that room up to 60 F (15 C) when it was in the 40s outside, running constantly. Cement block does not hold heat or warm in the sun until spring. I will look for insulating panels, if I can find them here. Thank you.
There's a radiator attached to underneath the table. The blanket that goes on top is there to keep the heat from escaping.
@@Vincent-ft3ll So do you sit on a chair with your legs under the table to get warm? Or does it serve as a space heater for the room?
@@dianadiehl You don't sit on a chair. The kotatsu is a low height table where you sit on the floor underneath the blanket to get warm. The heat from the radiator will not dissipate as the blanket is there to keep the heat so that your legs are warm.
@@Vincent-ft3ll D'oh! Of course. It's Japan. Thank you. But the principle is the same: warm legs. I like it!
You use air conditioner to heat your apartment? Air conditioners cool the apartment. Maybe it’s something I didn’t know about.
Yes. The ACs in Japan heat and cool.
Now I know that I am living like a Japanese in Turkey.
No insulation as well?
Hey! Thank you so much for posting this🙏 You definitely answered a lot of my questions. I was looking at the schedule they posted online, and it showed that students had clinical over the weekend, was that the case for you? Also, did you get to choose where they placed you for clinical sessions? Did they take into account the distance between your address and the hospitals where u have to do the clinicals?
You'll have to rank all the placements by preference. Some of them are weekend and some of them are weekdays. I really don't know how they assign placements but it's really up to chance whether you get weekend or weekdays. Maybe for preceptorship in the last term they will try to take into account the distance (not exactly sure), but for clinical in other terms I don't think they really take the distance into account.
