@@RioWilliams797 we do not have a license to do electrical on anything other than from the disconnect to the ac unit. We use to do it but not allowed to mount a disconnect anymore. Unfortunate for us.
You shouldn’t tap-in on the furnace side if in down flow configuration. Only a dedicated down flow coil should be installed,unless you planed using a spacer in between coil and furnace.

@@jackdonovan2270 I really appreciate the compliment. I grew up in Chula Vista and all my family are still out that way. so I know all about those horrible California prices. I’m in Utah now and our prices of things have skyrocketed out of control since Covid.
Scott, you definitely set up your installers in a first class way. Nothing better than a residential replacement that goes seamless. Nothing worse than being an installer going in blind, expected to have everything knocked out and fired off in one day……
Why don’t you just put a 25amp fused disconnect at the AC?….instead of having electricians come to change the breaker?

It’s never legal to penetrate the furnace wall with a gas flex. I give parts to pipe it out always. 😊
So ……..when is it ever legal to pipe a flexible connector like that into the furnace??…… In Indiana that is a big time No Go
