Had to read the description to confirm what I was seeing! Reminded me of “Total Eclipse” and turns out it uses the same engine. Would have definitely explored a lot if I had this game. Sure I’d probably walk around aimlessly as I did in TE but that’s what you did back then!

The Atari ST version of CASTLE MASTER looks absolutely as brilliant as the Amiga version. I even saw the disk version of this game for the Commodore 64 at a finnish 🇫🇮 website last year, made a bid for... and lost it to another bidder. Your gameplay video deserves a big retrospective like 👍🕹️ from Vantaa, Finland 🇫🇮. 😺👍🕹️

J'ai connu ce jeu après Tower Assault sur pc. J'ai trouvé ce jeu Alien plutôt pas mal mais lent et ça manque d'action comparé à Tower Assault. C'est dommage.

Jesus, this looks awful. International Karate + on the other hand was sensational on the Atari ST.

First version was made on the Apple II, and was called Airheart. It was one of the best piece of software made on it. This version has more colors and sound effects, great game.

Almost the same as IK. Background graphics is a bit crude though-

Those karatekas remind me of INTERNATIONAL KARATE on the Commodore 64. And also IK+ on both Commodore 64 and Amiga. 😹👍🕹️

This is such a cool game that we had fun playing with my brother and my cousins at our grandma's house back then. She bought for us the compilation "Kings of Adventure I" that included Bargon Attack as well as Fascination and Gobliiins. It was a very different era, some things better, some others probably worse but, wonderful times anyway... 😊👍

I' va e always liked this game, after Lucasfilm Games and Delphine SOftware, Coktel Vision were genious in the adventures (we only have to take a look of Gobliiins saga)

Good game! It’s incredible that it was created by 2 teenagers, they started the project when they were 14 (!!) and finished it at 18. I think this game is promising, but the action and movements are too slow, it needs more action, more enemies and shooting, otherways you walk and walk trying to find the exit and expecting to find some aliens to blast, but… no. It becomes boring in the initial levels, but anyway I like to play it, the graphics, atmosphere and dark music deserve it.

The jump from "Night Flight" (although Microprose had some good 8 bit sims tbh) on the 8 bits to this was immense

This blew me away at the time coming from a Spectrum. I remember being quite good at it - although I'm terrible at it now. Still impressive. I must try and get back into it.

I can never go back to ST music following transition to the Amiga. I don't even remember these chip tunes, it's like my memory forcibly replaces the awful version with the Paula chip singing melodically! 😜

Great music, but could have used preshifted sprites (1MB version) or blitter version.

Only scrolling half of the screen, and this it's 12 fps. pfff.. They didn't exactly do their homework..

hm, its scrolling even slower than slow speccy 8 bit version.

It looks fast enough for polygonal 3D on a basic ST.

Bitmap brothers always had the best 16 color pixelart!

I still have FALCON (CiB) for my Amiga 500. I bought it from a local retro game store in Tikkurila, Vantaa (Finland 🇫🇮) back in the late mid 2010's, and it only cost 5€ 😹😺👍🕹️. The sad thing is: the game disk doesn't work anymore 😹!

Un classique mais que ça soit lui ou un autre c'est toujours aussi dur à jouer. Et toujours frustrant d'être bloqué dans une impasse.😅

If that wasn't so slow looking, it seems like a neat game! Nice kind of free roaming, like a gauntlet 2.0

Smooth scrolling

I remember playing this classic game once a little bit as a little boy on my friend's Amiga 500 back in the late 1980's. Even the soundtrack 🎵🎶 on the Commodore 64 version of this game - composed by Martin Galway - is absolutely brilliant 😺👍🕹️. The gameplay may be slow on the Atari ST, but the graphics are amazing, and the music + sound effects 🎵🎶 are retrospectively brilliant 😺👍🕹️. A big retrospective like 👍🕹️ from Vantaa, Finland 🇫🇮.

A little slow but the graphics look nice, will check this out on my Mega STe to see if the faster chip translates to a better running game.

Didn't know about this one. Cool graphics even if they seem like 160x200. The animation on the tank is top notch.

Il est plutôt pas mal. Aussi bien que Ikari Warriors voir même mieux.

this is a pretty good conversion IMO. Since it uses the same gameplay as Ikari Warriors did you make use of the lock on movement (via space bar as suppose). This makes the game easier to navigate.

Did the original Arcade version of TIME SOLDIER have the 2-player mode? The Atari ST version of this game seems to have only the 1-player mode. Same thing on the Amiga version.

Au début je me suis dit que le jeu était sympa. Puis tu as touché le sol et tu es mort. Ensuite tu as touché le plafond et tu es aussi mort. Dans rick dangerous on meurt souvent mais on sait pourquoi. La on meurt car le personnage fait une allergie au sol et au plafond. 😂😂

At least they used samples and music at the same time. Problem is the action is way too slow. The STe could have done a decent job. The ST.. well.. it could have been somewhat better than this. They could have kept it at a steady 25 fps at least.
