Nepal is special place. The incredible natural beauty I saw during my trip I have never seen anywhere else in the world. It was difficult, but every day was worth it. It was a trip of a lifetime for me. I am sure I will come back.
I did this trek with helicopter all the way, as well with helicopter return from Gorak Shep to Lukla. Why? If you fly with helicopter, you fly from Kathmandu, you can fly in the clouds when the planes are not able to (and that is happening a lot). And I chose not to go all the way back down to Lukla by foot to save some days from my vacation. In the end it was the best decision because it was worth it to see everything from the helicopter.
During the trek in the mountains I have decided to extend my stay there by one day and we did on this extra day Ama Dablam base camp. Very challenging but worth it!
