Y2E32: More Adventuring with Grammy and Grampy
Last set of adventures and exploring during Grammy and Grampy Hendrickson's visit. We do a bunch more hiking and find some insectiverous plants too!
Who are we?
We area a family that does everything together. Mommy (Melissa) and Daddy (Jamie) strive to give Anders (2.5 years old) as many outdoor experiences as possible. Rosie, our English Springer Spaniel, joins us on lots of these adventures as well. You'll find us out skiing, snowshoeing, canoeing, hunting, fishing, skating, biking, and anything else that sounds interesting that we have the opportunity to do. Our goal with our videos is to have a log to show Anders what he's done when he's older as well as share videos with family. I also hope it provides inspiration to other parents to bring their kids on adventures. It's challenging, but worth it!

You should really state on the location on where you are, the name of the lake and the date yall went, because of those reasons that are missing on the description and the tittle I didn't watch the video. backpackers like myself search up locations we would like to visit videos like this wont get much views without those descriptions etc. Just heads up for your channel!

Thank you for taking the time to comment. It's a 100% conscious decision to not include any of those details. My videos are primarily for family and friends; I'm not looking to grow my followers by selling out our "hidden gems".

What a great trip! I've wanted to canoe Dworshak for a few years now. Can I ask where you put in and took out? How many miles per day? Thanks again for the video.

Thanks! We've done two trips. First one (no video) we went from Dent up to a Grandad. Camped in 3 different spots, for 4 nights. 5 days of paddling, total of ~55 miles with lots of fishing and some turkey hunting along the way. Second one (with a toddler), put in at Grandad and spent 2 nights up each inlet, paddling to the where it turns to river. Great fishing on both, both trips before Memorial day so no one else camping. It was recommended by friends we avoid the lower half of the lake because of the canyon winds plus there are more motor boats down that direction. My big piece of advice is on the camping; there are lots of campsites but can be tricky to find if you are at low pool. We used a combo of OnX, Forest Service Map, and the Army Corp maps and usually didn't have to paddle further than we were anticipating. Have fun!
