My god man i nearly shit my pants 😅 I had just changed my oil and went to go on a rip. Came back home no noise. Next start shes tapping like crazy. My trauma from previous blow ups kicked in. Guess the new oil found a bad actor.
Please never hop under a car eithout axel/jack stands brother. Too many car guys die this way.
isnt it a safety problem using water on the frunks guts while the inner plastic cover is completely removed? there is a live high voltage battery present after all...
@b0570nk4 all these components are open to the elements. They are sealed, it will be fine.
Thank you for sharing this video
I feel, it is the serious design problem of this car
What is lmas and my motor kinda sounding louf
@Whoasauce LMA's stands for lost motion assemblies. When they are bad they make the engine sound like it needs a valve adjustment.
No shit gonna try this on my z3 soon 210k miles runs great just has rattle

thank you for all your videos, wish i lived closer for help on my mr 1320
@ACGarage614 I'm not very active on UA-cam because of my job. But you can always ask questions and I can answer them when I get a chance. I can also make quick answer videos to help out because it is a faster way to explain.
I had a P0011, and P1651, with loud rattling, can’t thank you enough! I saved $1800, I own a 2009 Honda Accord EXL with 88k miles, I went to Home Depot, bought 5 M60x30 bolts ($6.28), orange thread lock ($2.99), reused my original spring just stretched it and reinsert with new Home Depot screws with thread lock. Now all the codes went away and drives perfect again! The dealer was going to charge me for a new timing belt replacement, new actuator, new tensioner, whole new PZEV VVT, and oil change for $1800 without tax. Took me 30 minutes, Boom! Drove it and it was fine. It’s been 2 weeks now, drives normal and no rattling while start up and no rattling while driving! ❤❤❤❤
@gerxiong6299 there's a company called springzstart.com and they sell a stronger spring. When the rattle comes back, I suggest having this new spring ready for replacement.
ever tried nu-brite?
@alliao82 yes. But the purpose of cleaning the radiator is to remove the small sand like pebbles that get wedged in it. You can loosen the grime with any cleaning products.
@@jorgegarcia7005 it worked out a lot of small pieces but I kinda got worried about how pushy it got or it might have loosened through some erosion action; only ever used on older cars so not sure about tesla's radiator material
Great video
use a soft brush when using vacuum..also a better vacuum with stronger suction would also help… you bent some fins because of the vacuum hitting them directly….it more a combination of vacuuming and pressure washing … pressure washing on its own will not really work very well
What would you buy to get boost control
@CrAzY6tothe6 I haven't had any interest in boost control honestly. Im not a track guy, I just send it.
Probably should be added to the annual maintenance list. The one the doesn’t need to be done.
Mine was pretty bad. I was able to vacuum most of it out. I put a mesh screen cover on the bottom grill and the top intake
I saw a picture merc uploaded with an rsx who still had the power steering and its pulley in the oem location. Do you think that ll create issues?
@CrAzY6tothe6 the original kist was designed for the rsx. That kit had a spacer for the power steering pump.
part number for the 9th gen sensor?
I have the same issue but it take s a few weeks to leak fully. Is there a time frame till it fully goes?Im trying to keep it till spring
@duck198765 once cracked its done.
How’s has it been holding up?
@mrincredible2330 I drove the car 200 miles to my friends house for a tune and drove it back. No dyno. No leaks, no fuel issues. I checked the wires periodically and they don't seem to get warm neither but for piece of mind I will upgrade the wiring eventually. I plan on building another one for a friend and will record the entire process, but it may take a while. I plan on finishing some other projects before doing that.
@mrincredible2330 it's been working fine. No leaks and my injector duty cycle went down.
@@jorgegarcia7005I think im fighting fuel issues with mine. My car breaks up at half of tank. I have to keep it full for it to run fine. I’m on a dw 350 pump. Might just cut up my assembly and leave the pump by it self.

I love you serpentine belt hack 😆❤️❤️❤️💯cool
Great build, is it possible to use this kit on a 2005 honda element ex k24a4 ?ty
@cortezhawthorne715 yes. But be mindful that the engine in the element doesn't have true vtec. With that said, also make sure that you can tune the element.
Any experience with cleaning with steam?
@@JOE.DANCEN no. And I don't see how it would be beneficial.
@jorgegarcia7005 well..hot steam dissolves all the grease and other particles?
@JOE.DANCEN you are not going to see any real oil built up on the radiator. It will be mostly sandy, pebblely build up.
Thanks, great job done and you go where other youtubers stop. Keep.it up
Thank you for the video. Great job. Why arent you use the hose from the backside? That way you push dirt out instead of in....any thought on that
@JOE.DANCEN there's no room to do this from the back without removing the condensor, and I don't have a freon recovery machine.
Thank you. I am going to try to use the 90 degrees nozzle on my karcher.
@JOE.DANCEN just remember to test an area first and don't get too close and keep the flow of water straight. Too close or sideways pressured water can bend your fins.
@@jorgegarcia7005 thanks. Will use the lowest power on the cleaner. Will soak it in cleaner before low power hose it down
Me too
My radiator looks totally different. Have a 2022 M3 Long range. Also, my radiator cover has a chord attached to it, and the chord connects to wires
@@DaronHoward your cooling system is different. My 2019 doesn't have a super manifold. You can see the model y video I made. That has the same system as yours.
this worked, saved over 400$ and a lot of work. The 2011 Honda CRV does not have a plastic part on the spring, not all have a plastic peace on spring. I used cardboard behind and a magnet from a hard drive to hold onto the spring. Take you time to double the springs size evenly. It made the noise for the first start lasted less than half as long. And indeed stopped and has not continued. THANKS YOU FOR THIS VIDEO!
Very good idea to put z magnet in front of bold wheel to hold the spring, genius.
Great video, thanks

Man, I hope you see this. I have a 08 Si with a Merc 1320. I screwed the Merc tensioner as far as it can go (to make the belt tighter...highest position) but the auto tensioner marks still don't line up. The bar is to the looser side of the arrow (it's currently closer together than it was) Do I have the wrong size belt? Any help is much appreciated. Thanks!
@mtjr1168 every setup tends to use a different belt size. It has too many variables. IE, crank pulley size, blower pulley size, engine deck height, belt routing, blower size (the larger or smaller sizes of the actual blower will move up or doww). What I recommend is that you lower the adjustable pulley all the way down, get a long string and route it the way your belt would sit. Get a measuring tape and see how long the belt should be. Don't move the tensioner (you will adjust slack later) go to a part store and ask for a belt with the correct number of ribs with the length from your measurement. Install the belt and adjust the belt to be in the correct range.
Thank you for the quick response. Much appreciated! I've had the Merc 1320 for my 08 Si for a while now, but unfortunately, I haven't got the car running great. I would love to ask you a few questions, if you don't mind? Again, thanks for the response.
@@mtjr1168 sure
Thanks Jorge...I'm going to try and message you back this week after I see what the CEL I'm throwing is all about. I appreciate your time, man.
Hey Jorge....ever since the installation of the s/c, I've gotten a CEL for high idle (P0507) and also I get surging revs when coming to a stop and sometimes when idling. Also, hesitation sometimes when starting from a stop and inconsistent throttle blips when rev matching...almost like the car doesn't want to rev. The tune is on point and tuner said it's something mechanical. Thought it was the J37 tb but it still happened when switching back to the OEM tb. Any experience with something like this? Also, how hot should the blower get when idling for just 5-10 minutes? Thanks man
Me be like, I'll just pay them to do it. Not my cup a tea. Lol
So you don’t need to dead center your engine ?
@@imadfree no. You are not removing the timing chain.
@@jorgegarcia7005 thank you, I’ll do this today.
Hey bro i did this job the way you are saying it by buying the spring start kit and installing it. The noise was still there. So i took it apart again and noticed the chain was loose when i would crank it by hand. Which lead me to think thats the real reason why it make the noise on start up but when it was fully warmed up it would go away. So i started overthinking and thought the gear wasnt locked in place i yanked on the cam clockwise and now i have a p0341 code. My first question is why wpuld my chain be loose? possiblly failing tensioner leading to a stretched chain? And what damage could i have done by yanking on the cam clockwise trying to lock a already locked gear? Note: the engine was already on the car the only thing that was apart was the valve cover nothing else was removed.
@yerrrrrr your chain should be fairly tight, if your tensioner is failing it can cause a rattle as well as the vtc. You should look at the k20z3 manual and look at the chain stretch tolerance. If I could post a picture of the measuring point I would.
