Great job as always AJ! Really valuable tips!
Amazing content! Thanks!
Your videos are awesome! Thanks for sharing tons of info! I have a question for you: Sponsored posts will show a full-size image on the target’s feed, but you mentioned that if the target interacts with it, the image will shrink on their connections' feeds. Is that correct? Thanks for your help :-) Just making sure the target will see the full size image on their feed.
good stuff brother.
I loved your breakdown of LinkedIn Ads budgets! It is something that is crucial for all marketers. That said, I cannot stress enough how useful cold emailing can be. Mystrika is what I have been using for my outreach, and the warmup feature is legit. The fact that it provides A/B testing with 26 variations is a game changer. Give it a try, you would not regret it!

I have been using Filter Bounce, and it is honestly been a breeze! Their real-time verification keeps my bounce rate under 1%, which is just fantastic for maintaining a good sender reputation. If you have not checked them out yet, do yourself a favor!

Mystrika has been my go-to for a few months now, and they really excel at bounce detection and unified inbox management. Seriously, if email outreach is your game, you should definitely explore what they have to offer!
This is a very interesting insight! I've been struggling to figure out the right objectives for my video ads because for the longest time, I've only been using website visits because the priority for my client is to drive website traffic. My question is this though, if you put Engagement as the objective, not all of those clicks are going to the website (some are just likes, share etc.) If the priority is traffic, would you stil recommend engagement over Website Visits? And if so, why?
Hi! I found your podcast through a comment you left on a reddit post. Your answer to that post was super helpful, and I listened to episodes of your podcast and implemented a lot of your ideas in my ads and they have been improving. This has been super helpful! I'll definitely be listening in from now on. Thank you!
@@KalinaPerkins-BPM fantastic! Glad to have you as a listener! So happy it's helping your ads perform better.
Let me start by saying Thanks a lot for your wonderful short tutorials. It has given me confidence in LinkedIn marketing and more. Its 3 years now but I am still looking forward to your videos. I have recently noticed something that I would like to ask. In my campaign performance report I see double entries for multiple campaigns. I am not running multiple ads, these are sponsored posts (post boost) so I do not know why I see 2 entries for them. I am looking forward to understand the Ads spend on each post by LinkedIn these 2 entries have different values but the total comes out to be my campaign budget. They why 2 values? Can you explain?
I was trying to go low with some of my campaigns. But, every time I would enter the minimum I wanted to start with, LinkedIn would warn me that I had to increase it because of the audience I was targeting and competitors. So I ended up with an 80-100$ per day. It was a lead-generation campaign targeting companies with the size of 5k - 10k+ and decision-makers “super-titles” (no uploaded list). Seems like when it comes to this objective, and going after “super” companies and titles, the low bid doesn't exist. 😅
Hello! First of all I looove your show! So much useful information! I’m a marketing manager and this is my morning podcast. I found you on Spotify and followed you to UA-cam. Please keep them coming, love the length and the topics, and how in depth you go on each topic. Got one question, I launched a campaign 72 hrs ago and got no demographic information of the audience, it says “no information to report” could you help us with this?
What is good dwell time for an organic thought leader video ad?
I would LOVE if you would start adding chapters to these videos!
Hi AJ, I have a question. I have been running LinkedIn ads for one of my clients in India. We are getting good potential leads but a client wants more. We are spending 50 k per month and have got 10 leads with CPL-5000 INR. We have chosen manual bidding with CPC- 180. Any suggestions pls? Thanks
There is a research done and it concluded people seeing the ads on Linkedin had 2x higher brand trust compared to the other advertising platforms. LAN totally destroys that metric, so I wouldn't want that. If I wanted cheap traffic I would do a GDN campaign on Google and get $0.07 clicks
I really appreciate your work and insights. I’ve been watching the video since it went live an hour ago and have already added “Dwell Time” to my weekly report for the client! Thank you for bringing up such interesting topics and insights!
Awesome! Makes me so happy to hear!
what is the cost of the cheapest LinkedIn Ads? What the cases uses of using cheapest LinkedIn Ads? What are he results of such a strategy? (suggestion of next video) thank you
Thanks just recently took an interest in linkedin ads
OMG! I had no idea you had a youtube. I can't wait for tutorials.
what is the cost of the cheapest LinkedIn Ads? What the cases uses of using cheapest LinkedIn Ads? What are he results of such a strategy? (suggestion of next video) thank you
Is there a distinction between public and private groups?--Can we only target public groups in LinkedIn ad targeting? Are private groups also covered under ad targeting?
No distinction at all for ads! We can target members of both public and private groups. I love it!
informative.
AJ, YOU do not have to say all that, all that many times at the end! I do not do podcasts but I am heading straight away for the reviewSSS.
Where is the Episode 10?
Hey legend! Love the Vids! Just had a quick question. In regards to retargeting campaign we have an audience of under 800. Do you recommend automated bidding or manual bidding? We did automated and it's giving us a CPC for $30-60! Which is crazy. Please let me know :)
Thanks man! Audience size is far less important than CTR performance. It's fine to have an 800-person audience, but if the CTRs are <1% I'd do low, manual CPC bidding. If it's over 1%, then I'd use Max Delivery. -AJ
Hi Mate! Just had a quick question. For a retargeting campaign which only has under 1000 people in that audience. Is it better to do manual bidding or automated? I did automated and it is around $30-50 CPC which is crazy. Pls let me know
Sure thing! Audience size is far less important than CTR performance. It's fine to have a 1000-person audience, but if the CTRs are <1% I'd do low, manual CPC bidding. If it's over 1%, then I'd use Max Delivery. -AJ
I’m glad I found this channel very authentic
Awesome, thanks for watching!
Hi @AJ, this is great - I'd never heard of AAB testing before but it makes complete sense -probably particularly on LinkedIn! Where you talked about an example in which the A ads performed completely differently, I wondered whether you segmented the results by platform? Were you targeting the LAN or just LinkedIn?
Just LinkedIn on this one. I rarely use LAN just because I haven't seen great performance from the traffic, but I'm hoping to be proven wrong on that. Let me know if you've had good performance from LAN!
@AJ thanks. I haven't either. LAN is SO different from LinkedIn, it's a shame we still can't properly separate them to test. Although I did hear that ability was in the pipeline
Hi AJ! Do you run an AAB test for each and every of your ad tests? As always, thanks for sharing and kudos for the solid insights 👏👏
Not for every test, and I only do it occasionally. It's mostly to test for the validity of important tests.
@@AJWilcox Totally agree with your approach. No point in adding in such a variation if not for those tests we want to get important insights from. Thanks again 👍
How to add the conversion to the pivot table?
I pull the conversions fields into the Values section of the pivot table and it will add them. There's click through conversions, view through conversions, and then both of those add together to give you your "Conversions" column in LinkedIn's data. I tend to only pay attention to click-through conversions, so I bring in only that column, and then do my calculations based on that.
@@AJWilcox Thank you very much. I´ll try to do it. it would be nice, if you could do a video on that. I struggle a bit with the metrics. I learn a lot with your videos. Also, I mixed up lead and conversions
Thanks to you I was able to use excel. I cannot thank you enough
So glad these methods were helpful to you!!!
Thanks for the video. Do you know if LinkedIn changed their algorithm in 2024? In our 2023 campaigns, we were getting CTR well above 1% (3% to 5%) but the same campaigns now are in the 0.5% to 1.2%. Perhaps they saw your video and fixed their own stuff?
I don't think anything changed with LinkedIn's auction or bidding since the start of the year. I can think of 2 things that might affect it: 1. If they're the same campaigns and same ads that were running before, we definitely see audiences tiring of them and we need to freshen ads up and give them variety or the campaigns tank. 2. Recently, Thought Leader Ads and Document Ads are performing so well with 3%-8% CTRs that everything that used to be a good performer is taking lower inventory to make room for them. Could either of those explain what you're seeing?
@@AJWilcox I don't think it is #1. Our campaigns are run one state at a time (long story), when we switched to 2024, boom, a drop. That being said, you might be right. I will give it a try just to be sure. #2. Yeah that might be it. Thanks for the quick reply.
