The closest way to getting the dogs point of view would be if camera is attached to the dog’s head or other part of the body that allows us to see things from their perspective and exactly as they are moving their head, according to their gaze. I would imagine that right now it’s possible to get those tiny cameras that have the same vision as dogs….those cameras can be clipped to their ears or when permitted to their fur. I have this Indian sheet made of cotton and covered in this intricate pattern that depicts a typical design with elephants, plants and other with Indian culture associated motifs. Curiously, it came from a little shop that was hiding amongst all other souvenir shops in the Athen’s shopping district of Monosteracy! It was given to me as a present and over the years I used it as a bedsheet, beach towel, sarong, cover when I slept, I gave birth to my son wrapped in the sheets, used it to wrap my baby in it and so on. So I spent a lot of time thinking what would be like to tell stories from its perspective. It means that I had to think like an entirely different kind, analyse the way cotton behaves in different conditions, see cotton molecules change when exposed to sun, water, detergent…I got a kid’s microscope to test these changes. Then to learn what preserves cotton tread, what happens when the treat is ripped apart compared to being burnt or cut with a knife….then try to figure out how to use these characteristics to make it anthropomorphised and it’s super hard even with a good understanding of grammatical skills…. I think the idea is great but as it is has nothing to do with the dog’s point of view. Sorry
