I hate that "reporter". Video piracy is epic. I hate how they stalked and spied on these people. Filming them through their windows, snooping in their car. You are not the authority.
My late grandfather watched these lessons on Dutch television in the mid-1960s. I know this because I still have audio recordings of them from his reel to reel tape recorder. Now I know what Walter and Connie look like. I see Hattie Jacques has a guest role in this episode

As someone who grew up [after leaving my native London in my pre teens] in Selly Oak and Bournbrook [the shadow of Birmingham University], who has actually stood IN that lecture theatre, who is friends with Sonja Kristina and whose mate Don is the agent of both her/Curved Air AND Chris Farlowe/Colosseum, this is an extraordinarily welcome find. Along with 'Starmaker' and 'Return To Waterloo' [The Kinks] 'Zero Zero' [Mike Batt] 'Three Minute Heroes' [Brummie popsters Fashion and assorted 2 Tone acts] 'Adventures Of Son Of Exploding Sausage' [the Bonzos] 'The Looking Glass Murders' [Bowie] 'Orion' [Richard Barnes] 'Glitter' [Toyah Wilcox, Bilbo Baggins] 'Jumping Bean Bag' [starring David Dixon and Denis Lawson as members of the fictional 'Slag Bag'] the series 'Jangles' [Hazel O'Connor] and two productions I have NEVER yet been able to find starring Julie Covington, 'Great Big Groovy Horse' and 'Censored Scenes From Hong Kong' [if anybody has EITHER of 'em, send 'em over 'ere now] this represents TV-financed Brit rock operetta at its most outre, and I'm glad it still exists. I wonder how many others we don't know about, or which have since disappeared from existence? [NB: There were a few similar cinematic outings during the 65-85 period too, including 'Gonks Go Beat' [mentioned by another poster below] 'The Ghost Goes Gear' [featuring the Spencer Davis Group] 'Never Too Young To Rock' [assorted glam groups plus Bob Kerr] 'Comeback' [Eric Burdon] 'Rock You Sinners' [various 50s rock n rollers nobody ever saw again plus jazz legend Tony Crombie] 'The Golden Disc' [Terry Dene] 'The Moon Over The Alley' [various Notting Hill/Ladbroke Grove crusties] and 'Popdown' [starring Brian Auger and Zoot Money] although the latter of those has also seemingly now 'popped' out of existence.
Ah, top quality, Vee-flicking, F. U. television. Brings back happy memories of unhappy times fondly remembered. I'm delighted that UA-cam's puritan auto-censorship algorithms haven't worked out what the duck was going on yet.
I strongly believe after the program had ended Newsnight, most or if not all of the sellers of pirated VHS tapes were out of business or no longer trading in VHS tapes due to the strong evidence Martin Young from Newsnight had. Most of the recordings were taken off air from BBC, ITV whilst the bollywood films were taken from a film print.
£30 for a Pre-Recorded VHS tape in todays money that same thing would have cost you £3-4 this was the beginning of VHS, when VHS hit the market and consumers were ready to purchase a VHS VCR. It most likely would have been a 2 Head, 4, 6 Head VCR's were not around at that time and most likely a top loader.
With the current state of the world this series is fantastic, takes me back to the 1970's when I was 9 or 10 and watched this with my mum, heartwarming viewing from a better time
Georgie Fame Fans may be interested to know he was a special Guest at The Richard Thompson Show (w/full Band) in SF at The Fillmore Auditorium 11-8-24 for the (5±) Encore Set on Vocals & Harmonica. At 75(RT) & 81(GF) they were in fine shape. At a SWAP on 11-10-24 I heard Fame is Van's Keyboard Player. That makes sense as Van Lives on the other side (N) of the GG Bridge.
