@@JSIguess solidly no. You can have up to 60 mobs at once here, and would need multiple rounds of dots for each of them. Managing the XP leash while multidotting means you would have to open some graves, kill as many as you're comfortable with, then repeat, adding lots of time to the run. Dots can be fully resisted which adds a lot more time especially at lower levels, and once you hit 46 and get new rof rank, the runs can be sub 15 mins. Aoe also cannot be fully resisted so you are always doing 4 ticks of damage to all 60 potent mobs.

It will be tough for someone like that since you lack fundamentals with understanding and applying knowledge of movement optimization, leeway, and mob manipulation. These fundamental skills in the game will serve you for the rest of your classic career, but it's probably a rough way to learn about them from scratch at 40.

@@Rsngo that's for any point after you start damaging them. 30-second gaps in damage will lower their XP reward to their current health percent

hmm, may be a fair critique. Though honestly, I think this run is a good example of me getting all 4 ticks majority of the time, and a lot of them would not have hit without that placement. May just need to adjust my timing to make that placement you describe work though. I made this video just as a proof of concept that this would be faster levels then the current WR warlock speedruns, and from lvl 40-45, you wouldn't really care about loot. Once you have rank 3 at 46, you can easily kill everything on the sandy part of the left side.

​@@KullSSBM woot? Bro you're drunk lol. Most of the time when mobs enter your aoe, it is already half cast. So you rarely get more than 2 ticks. Your aoe placement IS the problem. I know it's confusing but the hill and the wall at the center are actually flat grounds. This is where you want to place your aoe. If you doesn't care about loot then that's fine, but if your goal is speedrun try this you will see it's 10 times better

@@Atmsphrmistykal I believe that the ticks aren't showing from the first tick 1/4 of the way through the channel till halfway through the cast.

@@Atmsphrmistykal you are right, imo with optimal placement and clumped mobs that come from the right (by you manipulating the Z-axis on the jump and pressing movement button) you get 2 ticks at most when they're above 20% hp

@@ruggeropastorin285 hellfire yourself, you lose 0 durability and can run back. Or hearth to gad, or if you're higher level, ride your mount right back out.

@@zasugod especially at a fresh launch. The speed is still insane and there's lots to optimize like mob clumping etc. which he doesn't do in the video

@@erzem421 some potential with ST but idk. ZG Crocs are good from 58 when that releases. Otherwise I just go to slightly under levelled zone like ungoro or felwood.

Easy solo kill for mage after lvl 50+ that you get while grinding GY, so i suppose it should be the same for warlock. I always killed him a few times for the staff

@@KullSSBM sorry another question, does curse of elements which lasts 5 mins prevent the 40 secs xp loss ? It doesn't deal damage but is it considered hostile action ? Might help to deal even more with rain of fire right

@erzem421 it is considered a hostile action, but it still follows the 40 second rule

@@KullSSBM oh so the xp loss will proc on the mob despite the curse being active on it ? I though till the curse is active it is considered as hostile action, so you have 5 minutes without worrying about it

@@erzem421 it's not a proc, it's a rule. If all you did was CoE, then you haven't done any damage, you wont get reduced exp because the mob is still at 100%. If you deal damage to them and don't do any hostile actions toward them for 40 seconds, there exp will be reduced to there current health %. The hostile action is when it is casted, not when it ends.

Just want to clarify that mobs CANNOT fully resist AOE, only partially. Additionally, you WILL NOT lose your exp leash to a mob resisting, since you are doing a hostile action toward them. So that part of your first paragraph is not correct.

@@KullSSBM Partial resists is what I meant -- any resisted damage (even if partial) lowers your damage. I wasn't aware of the "Any hostile action" counting towards the 30s leeway of experience loss. Thanks for that though!

@@erzem421 At level 40... I really don't recommend it. Can it be done? Yes. But you're going to pull many more mobs on the run to the GY, and the kill time is going to take ~20 minutes, assuming you have enough of a mana pool to regenerate and cast Rank 2 Rain of Fire constantly. Downranking to keep tagging will work but it makes the kill take even longer. Edit: I suggest doing SM Armory/Cath spams until AT LEAST 42.... and really, continue til 43 and then level somewhere else until 44. A single GY run awards about 35k exp and if it's taking you 1 hour for 2 runs (and this is optimistic at sub level 46 for rank 3 RoF), that's 70k/exp an hour.

@@erzem421 yes it does! And I would start at 40 if you're used to solo instance farms. Otherwise I'd wait till 43 or 45. Aggro ranges become a lot more lenient as you level up. Demo takes a considerably longer time to clear, so I recommend affliction.

You have a few options I know of; 1. hearth to gadgetzan. 2. log out for 5 minutes to teleport to gadgetzan gy. 3. get in a group w/ someone or an alt to instantly reset the instance for you when you log out/swap characters. 4. run to the boss Antu'sul's cave, and perform a jumping alt+f4 log out skip off the cage, porting you to the entrance of zf.
