    I hate it. Redoing a wood front door. Used this stuff after sanding, cleaning, etc. It doesn't cover evenly, leaves brushstrokes, looks terrible. Debating if I need to sand it off.

    So you never even tried it?how could you give any kind of review without even putting a blade on it?you said it barely cuts but that's only an opinion.pretty sad review when you are only guessing.i won't be watching any more of your "reviews".

    Don't waste your money. Our floor was just installed by a professional a few months ago, and three planks are already peeling. The warranty is worthless. After much trouble, they will just send you planks to replace yourself.

    Hi! Thank you for very useful video and great tips. I tried to do something similar, but something went a bit off, so I’m kindly asking you for an advice: I have a wooden IKEA table. Its top made of several wooden blocks, so it’s not a single sheet of wood. I dyed it using water-based dye, and covered it with the first coat of polyurethane lacquer. The thing is that after applying the first coat I can see that the surface gone patchy - some wooden blocks are glossy and smooth, and some - dull and a bit rough to the touch, where the wood absorbed the lacquer. I was going to use fine sandpaper to even the surface after the first coat of lacquer. But now I’m a bit confused as I don’t know if I could damage the dye layer on the dull patches and expose the wood, as it is obviously very thin. What would you suggest to do in this case? I was going to do at least three coats of lacquer with sanding in between.

    Video was all filler. Could have been alot more specific about your issue. The same company (TTI) makes AEG, Milwaukee, Rigid, Ryobi & other brands) Rigid power tools tend to be the best quality per dollar tools. Free repair/replacement under the Lifetime Service Agreement is what guides many of my power tool purchases to Rigid. For tools from my experience yes they most often are taken in locally to be potentially repaired (Drop off at Home Depot Tool Rental Desk) If not possible they mail a replacement. I've never been billed by the Service Center or Rigid. Never had to pay shipping. Never been denied. Just always register remember to register your tools within 90 days. BOTH new purchases AND any replacements they send. For batteries they have just taken my word that it was not providing sufficient power and sent replacements. The originals are always years old by then so the replacements are often newer generation and sometimes higher capacity. Were you claiming so many batteries they were not willing to just take your word? Did you fail to register? Please explain.

    Can I use it on tile ?

    this is crucial. if you read the small small print. it says this product is NOT to be used for shower flooring. i learned that the hard way. it took almost a week to the adhesive to fully dry. BUT in that fine print it says, and I quote - DO not use on steam rooms (a shower is such a space), areas subject to water emersion, do not apply over waterproofing (Red Guarded areas), only use in area with temps between 40 and 95 degrees. My shower hot water is set at 128 degrees at the water heater. do not use to set glass tile or stone tile. Those are some serious limitations for use in a shower area.

    Just found your videos tonight. I've now subscribed. If you are still maintaining your channel, may I ask two questions? 1, When you put a wad of paper into the hole, in a hollow core door, what keeps the paper from falling thru? 2, Will this same procedure, using Bondo and paper, work for a hollow core metal door? Thank you.

    • @prioritymaintenanceTX
      @prioritymaintenanceTX 6 місяців тому

      The bondo adheres to itself, also fill the hole with a lot of paper, another thing you can do is fill the hole with paper then use a can of spray foam insulation to make the cavity stronger before applying the bondo. Thanks for the follow!!

    Not really a fair review if you haven’t even used it. Also your stopping as quick as you are is misleading. It definitely ramps up much higher then your showing. I feel if your going to review a saw, cut something. Obviously cordless is not meant to replace corded.

    No comments ? These people just don't know, I have been using pro dope for over 40 years since 1981 Home Depot and Lowes wasn't even born yet, way before taflon tape came on the market, you will never ever have a leak after using dope, it's a OIL based product. Why work on job and start cleaning up because you think you're done and you get a leak. Why, because you didn't use PRO DOPE it's simply the best, The Rolls Royce of stopping stupid leaks.

    lots of basics missed: 1-use the appropriate brush for oil based stain/poly/ varnish. Never dip a dry brush in the can, always wet it w mineral spirits first 2- Never use the can as your serving canister, any dust etc. on the first couple strokes will be transferred back to the can, it's contaminated. 3- 1st coat s/b 50% mineral spirits 50% poly, in the mixing cup/ jar 4- next coat 25/75% poly 5- full strength 6- use a damp cloth with mineral spirits to wipe the dust nibs between coats. 7- use 5-8 coats for the counter top. Last coat , a wash coat, s/b 50% mineral spirits 50% poly

    • @tombeck2792
      @tombeck2792 Рік тому

      8-12 hours, maybe 6-8 for first thinner coats, good question. The thinner and more coats are better than 2-3 heavy brushed on coats. Dry time also is based on the room Temp/Humidity.@@LorraineMassillon

      ??? dude. u here to sell mineral spirits and oil poly? man are you lost and trying to mislead others to feel better? it's a butcher block top. he did a fine job. 5-8 coats of oily poly? that's dumbest thing i've heard in yrs. that's for water based poly. two coats is fine. as for all your cutting of poly, if you want that level of finish, spray it. as for using the container for serving. if the top is clean as it should be that totally doesn't matter especially if you are going to pour overage into the can.
