Integrating Human Dimensions into Wildlife and Invasive Species Management
Join Dr. Howie Harshaw, Professor, University of Alberta as he introduces the concept of "human dimensions" and how it relates to the management of wildlife and can inform our understanding, and management, of human-wildlife interactions. He will also summarize some of the challenges of managing invasive species, like goldfish and wild boar, and ways that incorporating people's perspectives may help to achieve invasive species management goals.

What a cool idea!
Mentioned was that there is no place for hunting in eradication wild pigs. But how about hiring professional hunters and trappers like indigenous people in rural areas throughout all of Alberta. Not just a few, but many many of them. It would provide jobs to these people in those rural areas for them to do what their ancestors once did freely.
They also mentioned that hunting generally doesn't work effectively, as the population will disperse and move to other areas. Sounds like the trapping of whole groups would be more effective...
