Vander was beating the hell out of some Enforcers but the moment he saw Vi and Powder he quite literally laid down his fists and took them in. He chose to abandon the revolution and give a home to two kids that were in immediate need of one. “What good is fighting for our city’s future if I must ignore the future standing before me?”. This is the direct inversion of Silco, who as you recall had children working in his Shimmer factories. He was willing to use their lives to help fuel the overall future of the city. Vander choosing to lay down his arms meant he gave Vi, Powder, Claggor, and Mylo a loving home they deserved, but at the cost of any great progress made toward Zaun’s independence. Silco charged full speed ahead in trying to keep up with Piltover’s progress by supplementing the gap with chemtech and Shimmer, thus giving the city a larger economic leg up and positioning it to more easily assume its independence, but at the cost of ravaging its citizens with addiction. The parallels in this show are insanely poignant.

You know, this third episode is genuinely very good, it ends in an impactful ending and also determines what the dynamics of the series will be from now on.

The young prototype of Harley Quinn literally doomed everyone in this scene. And by the way, she technically screwed both sides in this scene, which makes me even more surprised that Silco decided to adopt she later.

As the saying goes: "Help or hinder, the important thing is to participate."

When they introduced esker, only to kill him in the same episode…..that’s when I was DONE. i have no idea what happens after this and I don’t want to know. F*ck you, Netflix.

I think my favorite moment of this episode (and of the series) is right at the end of this episode where the song begins, and the camera backs away from Powder and Silco. The camera slowly fades and spins while gently becoming fuzzy. The camera is from Vi's perspective as she is getting pulled away into the sewer after being "Chloroformed" and slowly passing out and losing her vision. It's a cinematic masterpiece.

Honestly i think shes misunderstood..being a "monster" doesnt necessarily mean being evil...and i don't think she was out to hurt anyone..only to live and survive...if she killed the villagers maybe theres more to it..maybe they were trying to hurt her

This guy did such a horrible job. The writers did such a horrible job. All one simply has to do is play Witcher three to see how much ves loves Ciri and their relationship to understand how much of a horrible job he did, and how poorly written this show was. The only person that got it right was Gerald and they fired him.

The part when I saw graysons fresh corpse on the ground, I was horrified. They weren’t pulling punches in this.

Vi suffered much more than Jinx had ever suffered. But Vi still keep her soul and be strong, while Jinx becomes stupid. I like Vi much more than Jinx.

Silco was not a good person. He was straight up ready to murder her before she hugged him. But the fact that he not only spared her, he also took her in and kept her as part of his entourage, even when everyone told him to get rid of her says something. He can't use her as a weapon, he can barely even control her. Yet despite the fact that she was such a loose cannon, and could destroy everything he's worked for, he's still keeping her by his side. This is not something you'd expect from a cold, calculated villain who's main weapon is his intelligence, yet despite how evil he gets, there's that one part of him that's still human.

As someone who does 3D, and video shit, how simple, yet clean, and perfect the end shot is, is insane. Its something I will always love, its like watching from Vi's perspective getting knocked out, but its also a fading more distant memory for both of them as time goes on, before a literal massive time jump, which the song even emphasis's. Its a dope as all hell shot.
