Reading a biblical interpretation into the film seems like an entirely personal and subjective pursuit--I don't think that was the intention of the screenwriters--but I appreciate you sharing your thoughts. Having just watched the movie recently, I can at least say that it's a very entertaining film and that both Pesci and Tomei give excellent performances.
