Awesome collection, I too started collecting Catachan during the pandemic. After watching this video though, I realize that I am missing quite a few that I never knew existed!
What size of socket
Thanks for sharing, it seems as you've and others in the trade videos have found, it's necessary to pull back the top to access the control panel. Looking at various model manuals, panel fixing arrangements vary somewhat, however this is how a oldish looking Rangemaster manual (no date given) says how to remove the control panel on the ceramic model: To Remove the Control Panel Disconnect from electricity supply. Pull off all the control knobs. Open the grill and right hand oven doors and remove the 4 fixing screws underneath the control panel. Remove the handrail by removing the 2 end bracket fixing screws. Remove the 2 cross-headed screws that were hidden by the handrail end brackets. The control panel should drop down slightly. It is held at the top by two holes in the top edge one at each end that locate on tags on the inner panel. Clear the holes from the inner panel and pull the control panel forward It would seem that more recent models have the control panel held in place by 3 top screws only accessible by at least partial oven top removal, rather than an older arrangement of panel slots and retaining tags. That's progress folks Comments (apart from health and safety stuff) from anybody in the know would be very welcome !!!
Just a comment to say I've got the exact same dryer, exact same problem. Your video is spot on thank you 👍👍
Really good review thanks for posting
Thank you a brilliant video. Purchased the part on ebay for £4 fitted within an hour . Working like new .A*
G'day Tom I also have a Suzuki Alto and they're quite a fragile vehicle in some ways. I noticed when tightening the spark plugs I have to be very careful. They feel like they will just strip at the drop of a hat. The entire rocket cover and engine block feel like they could strip out from over tightening at any stage. Obviously your rocket cover cracked quite easily. Thanks for putting this up. I'm about to do this job myself including the valve stem seals so it was useful to know what can happen.
£3 for the part fixed in 10 minutes
Brilliant thank you ❤
Great video
So you didn't use an amplifier? I believe you need an amplifier to get the best out of those speakers, installing that would be even more fun
Jus added a generic K&N and cut the nostril inside. I notice the bike idles a tad bit less and when riding enters "eco" mode more frequent. Though dyno ppl say eco mode doesnt really do anything. The sound a big significant better and im happy with it. Though i have an Ebay exhaust. I dont plan on flashing ecu, due to people complaining loss off gas mileage. As long as your sensors are top notch the air fuel ratio will be regulated well
Urgghh I have to do this. I have 4 new studs and nuts but the bike is 8 years old and the ones that have to come off are really bad. Also the aluminium housing is damaged and there’s some weird cement around it. It’s strange cos I bought the bike brand new. I think I’ll just take it in.
do you have to be careful of the cables that feed to the starter relay to not touch? or it nothing happens if they touch?
Make sure you throw away all bolts and simply glue back your panel and bumper
Ty.
Mine just started going off with no ine in except me.
Thankyou. Worked a treat even with my novice diy skills
Took me 5 minutes to do because of your video. Top g
Should of added one screw fore each joy stick
The black knobs you remove the centre of the two back and forward controls you will find two screws under them that’s why control is not coming apart
7 years later and im about to buy this as my first car, Insurrance is a complete joke £2,000 a year 3rd party fire and theft
thanks mate fixed my mum's car in 30 seconds
👍👍👍👍🙂
Looking at 2015 BMW 228i series 2 88,000 miles for 12k USA what y’all think
Still in 2024 you are a genius
Does this disable airbag ? Or willl air bag go off regardless if seat belt is in as long as someone is sitting in the seat?
I believe air bags go off depending on where the car is hit anyway
Do you know how many hp the bike gained with the cpu mods?
So just out of interest what brands were the IR heaters, so we might avoid the poorly made type. I'm thinking of buying some of these but have had my reservations, I need to test them out, perhaps there are ways of making them work better.
Hi these were all Klarstien. I think the more modern ones would work well in a smaller well insulated room where you can position them where they point directly at where persons would be standing/sitting. I've kept the one with the picture on for this purpose, but I'm throwing the two white ones away.
@@gringotom242 I would say don't throw them away, wait until you have had time to investigate them and experiment with them, you might find ways of making them work better. Those big heaters must be able to output more heat than you managed to get out of them, have you tried running them without using the WiFi or smart option. I would say run some tests on them before you throw them out. For example, perhaps try running one on a single circuit perhaps the circuit you used was a little stressed with a with smaller amperage available, perhaps with a bigger amperage circuit they may out put more power. On another video a guy has a 700 watts rated panel and he tested it at 800 watts so it was actually outputting 100 watts more than it was rated for. So I would say check out ways to run them and try running just one on a single circuit, ie switch everything off on that line, then test the panel.
Thanks for this Tom - very informative. I see it's still sold and includes a basic non-guage regulator. I've not seen any reviews mention issues with that, did you try it? I'm curious on you opting for the dual guage regulator - does it offer better control? I can't see the exact same model of guage on the machine mart website, but they do have a dual guage that looks rather lower quality (on the dials). Can you share the details on that guage? How's it been since you used it and how long have the cannisters lasted? Cheers
Thank you Amigos
Amazing! Thank you so much. This saved me a lot over headaches
Ah mate your a life saver i do 12 hour days Ubereats and my sensor had gone faulty in the last week it’s been driving me crazy beeping all day 😂
The fan for the main oven will come on straight away if on the circotherm symbol this is how the heat is distributed over the oven evenly Plus the cooling fan at the top cools the controls this over runs for around 10/12 mins after turned off at the controls
Anyone doing there own gas repair shouldn’t you need a gas safe engineer
If it was a gas oven then yes...
I personally would say it’s not the thermostat that makes this noise it’s the cooling fan
bednqk
It’s just one long wire inside hanging loose fore radio control, all the best
Sorry, I bet you're gutted.
Hi, I’ve had mine 4 years now an love , I did blow another grand an a half on upgrading suspension to fully adjustable K-Tech front an rear an had it set up for a 15 stone fat bloke. Went for Techbike stainless exhaust (£245) solo seat, DNA air filter an remap. What a blast. Its deffo a keeper 💪😎
Thank u
Fascinating! Thanks for the info!
Amazing you have just saved me a trip to the garage! Thank you so much
Do you think cleaning the EGR will also make the error go away? or does the EGV need to get replaced only?
is there also a lambda probe at the end of the catalytic converter? because the engine warning light relating to the lambda sensor downstream of the catalytic converter shows me.. (I have a 125d 2019)
the driver side seatbelt sensor for our Golf Plus has just been going nuts for a while now, even if you hold the seatbelt in it still beeps on and off lol thanks for this
'Promo sm' 😭
Nice one. Really helpful. I just need to replace a neon.
Do you have a light on the dash afterwards?
Good balanced review!
