I quit in very early 2022, and just returned for the xmas event this year. The game is as bad as it was when I left. But, like you I have rolled a new account and am just having fun with low-tier vehicles and grinding out missions. I'm stopping at tier 6 as I figure this is where my skill cap starts setting in, and where the game potentially starts costing real money, in terms of the lure of broken premiums.

You can use the discount for every Tier V Tank. Doesn't matter, if you have it unlocked or not. I splurged on Loot Boxes and got all the tanks. XM57 and DZT(chinese IX Medium with rocket boosters and great turret) are my favourites. Merry Christmas! :)

i've done 7k dmg on the XM57 and the mark went 2.5% so you gotta do more then that :3 i've made 600k credits so not bad :D

Hey there... Next up in my personal "WoT annoyances" list: Topography missions and Heavy tank matches in general. Some topography missions are just screwed, you seem to be getting fire from targets across the map, and blindfiring to get rid of the suckers only wastes your time. And all that for a benefit of 20k silver... that just annoys the hell out of me. And matches with heavy tanks are just ridiculous. With my Tier VII Tiger I seriously only win 1 out of 5 rounds. And not because I'd waste my HP. Most of the time I'm a low-tier tank and one of the last 3 to be killed, because the top tier heavies in my team always get steamrolled by the opponents. The 40-40-20 rule simply does not work for me. And that really sucks because I cannot proceed my campaign if I hardly get any productive matches at all.

Why are you not using the extra "maximum spotting distance" map indicator? Imo it's a purely positive feature to use with no drawbacks...

You can buy camo with credits, 75k for 100 battles. You probably get outspotted from most medium and light tanks running coated optics and vents at that tier. Together with having camouflage. Since you are moving most of the time, your binoculars are not activating which makes coated optics better. expensive to buy though so as a new player you cant match that sadly :/

Get ready for the wah-wah arty haters ;) I think I did most arty campaign missions in the Crusader SP. The standard gun has good reload (10 sec), good aim time, and good accuracy. No good for stun missions though. The tier6 (FV304) is similar, just not as accurate. I used to like the US SPGs, but they nerfed the '44 I think, and it lost its appeal :(

You need to put camo skill(on all crew members) on lights if you want to be competitive, bia is kinda useless in your case

Call me stupid, but I didn't actually notice that I could start every branch of the StuG campaign in parallel 🫣 I successfully grinded the light tanks, but only now am I doing the heavy, medium and TD branches at the same time. With SPGs it's another thing, I haven't researched any of these yet and will dive into it once I finish at least one more branch (TD is most promising so far, I'm doing well on the StuG III B).

x5 missions automatically work, when you used your daily x2 on a tank. every consecutive win on that tank and at least 10th place will be x5.

Hey mate, I think this is a really fun series concept that you've started. A tip would be to maybe update your HUD and map settings to be more competetive (a lot of new settings that maybe weren't around back when you stopped playing). I'd recommend watching a yt video of the best WOT settings in 2024 (for example dez_games has a good video) and alter the settings to your own liking. Greetings from Finland!🤗

tier 6 against tier 8's which are balanced to fight against tier 10's that's the problem.
