I don't see how they don't make fumes. If it's burning diesel fuel it's making fumes, and you could die without proper ventilation.

These heaters emit a strong odor that can cause headaches. The odorless claim is definitely false. 2 heaters in an indoor shop. This needs some type of ventilation or you will need to make sure you have optimal ventilation

Agree 100%! Where does the exhaust go?- Directly into the area where the unit is running. Similar to the sunflower heaters and buddy heaters that can make you sick when used in an ice fishing house or similar. Any appliance that is burning fuel properly should not emit CO. However, it is still not safe to inhale the exhaust. These types of units can deprive the area of oxygen very quickly without proper make up air and/or ventilation. Be very careful! - HVAC installer 38 years-
Lie. My shop(indoor) just bought 2 of these for the Texas freeze. There is a strong smell that these emit from the burning of fuel. There is no way these run on diesel without creating a smell. People are starting to get headaches.
I can confirm your comment as true from my experience too. Things constantly need maintenance too.
Put our new SF80 in service today and the guys are ready to throw it in the dumpster. These are not fume free and smell free. These can't even be safe they stink so bad.
