@@rafu9248 I think I know what's gone wrong. So the C hp is where you hide the Vskill OS, but you need a button before that for the opponent to block and Vreversal. So try C mp-C hp-V skill

This was in an earlier season where S mk was 5f startup instead of 7f. But the concept is, you space yourself so that after S mk is blocked, they can't connect a quick button to you. So if you press a 2nd button, you'll whiff punish their fast light attack. If they don't, then you get to steal momentum.

@@benstubbins But as I understand, it's a risky option as an opponent can do a medium button, right?

@@maaramori3404 not always, if the spacing trap is good enough medium buttons can whiff. But even if they have to resort to using a heavier button to take their turn. It effectively wastes their turn and gives you an opportunity to steal momentum or at the very least not able to use their turn in a dangerous manner to you.

For the most part yes this stuff will still work, but I honestly have updated my own knockdowns, oki, and combos so I don't consider this a good current guide. Not a bad place to start though.

It's very hard to use it on reaction, it's more that a lot of old "setups" don't work anymore

Akuma is probably top tier still lol, I think he came away from the patch in a stronger position than he was last year.

It means Light Red fireball and it is, but there's a new balance patch soon so I can't say how long it's up to date for

By all means, feel free to put your money where your mouth is & make a vt2 guide. But this was a guide on vs1 & vs2 so you might want to reconsider your comment...

Yup, after losing to him before I studied the replays. If he thinks a dp is coming or a delay tech he delays his buttons about 10frames.

@@benstubbins any tips for getting the delay of meaties down like jimmy does...i try to implement that alot but u get so many random types of people in rank who wake up buttons or immediate throw...hard to feel confident in your timing..

@@benstubbins as akuma i am struggeling against guys who delay buttons alot...finding effective ways of blowing it up has been difficult...i liek to go for st lk to st lp or cr lp or even cr mp or mk...but those options dont always blow it up

@@InstantKarma18 easiest way to beat delay buttons/tech as akuma is to use staggered c.mp pressure. So c.mp-walk-c.mp and look to counter hit confirm into s.mp.

And that cc can also be combo’ed with demon. Nice !

Yup, the block/hit stun of c.mp will hide the jump, the c.mp can only whiff from vreversal which is where the jump will then come out giving you the punish. C.lp is the only button with enough block advantage and low enough block stun to allow this for Akuma.
