You should try Brompton flexible mudguards. They would fit with those tyres.

As a Dane I expected to take my 2019 Brompton on travels, so I at once ordered a solid and very robust, German B&W Luggage box, intended for a Brompton bike and with the claimed US "travel control locks" and an extra band around for extra security! It must be named that it only takes a standard size saddle pin or the very heavy telescope version, unless the pin is removed from the bike before packing. But if a titanium pin with an integrated saddle mount, it is possible to just take it out from the top, without the security ring in the bottom!

Good clear video of Irvine trail, very enjoyable and you two seem so happy. I like your bikes, are they the C line with H bars? I have been looking into the C Explorer with 6 gears and H bar, and rack with EZ wheels for roll around. Where did you buy yours? I am in Irvine area and Brompton site indicates closest "premier" store is in downtown LA. REI sells but want to see a "premier" store for their offerings and advice.
