Featured artists and producers include 69db from Spiral Tribe, Mat Weasel Busters, Chris and Aaron Liberator, photographer Molly Macindoe, Shockraver, Randy909, Narkotek crew, Astrix, and many more.

brilliant interview..really enjoyed listening..liked and subscribed nothings really free ..someone has to pay...im happy to contribute to the cost of putting on a party...tho not been to one for 20 years ...didnt know they were still happening

There is one, huge problem that Seb didn’t mention about the money issue. Firstly, I would be very surprised if a sound system wouldn’t get enough in donations to live ok, so long as they explained why they asked for the donations in the way Seb has put it. I believe whilst some people would be tight fisted as always; you would also have some incredibly generous donations from individuals; as it’s not just poor people attending free parties. Wealthy people go there for the authenticity of the party, & freedom to do what they like without a bouncer grabbing them by the collar. The biggest challenge; if, donations came flooding in, is dealing with the proven, scientific based fact, that money & power can corrupt. It doesn’t matter if a person has been living off of scraps for decades trying to put on free parties, & simultaneously preaches the word of Karl Marx. That one person, WILL be tempted to give themselves an extra £100 at first, “just as a bonus for the effort they’ve put in for years.” That same person will begin to think more & more about how much of their own money they’ve invested, compared to someone who joined their system just a month ago, who’s getting paid the same as them, despite the fact they’re lazy/flakey etc. Now, I genuinely do believe there are some who really do practice what they preach, & would carry on being happy to earn the same as the person who joined a month ago, but how can you make it, so that every sound system sticks by the law of equal pay? Not only this, but money is an incredibly powerful emotional tool. Will sound systems be able to hold it together, when the addition of money comes into play? Anyway, donations are the best option, because no one likes to be forced to do something. Donations give humans ‘free choice,’ something that is more important to humans than anything else.

Spiral tribe were a strange bunch and we're not really liked by the majority of the scene. Infiltration and undercover cops were always mentioned I remember. I also remember a baphomet standard at castle morton. They had nothing to do with castle Morton it was the traveling convoy who they were not part of . funny how they tried take the acclaim really
@@steve-xx6or Interesting, I'd love to know more. Can I please ask to develop?
@@free4313 It was always thought that a few of the members were mi5
@@free4313 I met a few of them. Remember alot of people called themselves spiral tribe. The baphomet sign at castle Morton I actually remember but at the time didn't realise what is was. Now I think the chances of them not being a occult operation are pretty slim. The vibe was always wrong. I remember kicking a remnant of them off a few sites. One in Scotland an d another in Amsterdam. They were not liked much at the time by the families ECT as they didn't respect anyone wanting it turned off after a week or so. Circus normal and bedlam were the main energy at Morton. Especially circus normal they were all hardcover travelling folk. I played a set with them for about 12 hours. I think they are nearly all dead a long time ago now. Life in the fast lane or more likely I think the slow lane if you know what I mean.
@@steve-xx6or I appreciate your side of the story. I think that for every situation there are different perspectives. I didn't live those years in first person so I can only have ideas of what others who did live the first free parties tell me today. Thanks for sharing yours.
@@free4313 Are you doing parties now?
The "authorities" wanted a controlled environment, hence back to the clubs . We now live in 1984

Nowt so tight as a trustafarian is ze problem, "daddy told me not share my money with the scots!" (heard from an english university student at a free party circa 1991 with a fair amount of spirals present) Free partyscene unfortunately full of young uns who are "just playing at this culture for a while" different days, diffent years etc .
Big shout out to "Spiral Nigel" aka "Tek" !!
I like his viewpoint, an expected donation of a fiver would go a long way toward covering the costs and it still keeps it true to the spirit, and keeps it alternative. Festivals used to be alternative events and what is it now? £200-400 tickets, which immediately excludes a lot of people.
Dance, Techno, Trance Hardcore. Adesso si è ristretto tutto.

He looooved his reefer lol and on rare occasion I would catch him on the 1's & 2's grinding out something smooth. Ahh those days seemed just like yesterday..the sounds the smells.

Grazie 1000 SHOCKRAVER.
