Thank you!
thank you so much!
You got the rules all wrong lady!
My friend taught me that if you land in your “bucket”, your turn ends there. And no matter where it is, if you land in an empty space, your turn ends. I am so confused
So I’ve been playing wrong my entire life? I played that you continue your turn until you drop a stone in an empty bucket . For example if your last stone dropped in any bucket with at least one stone , you pick up all the stones in that bucket and continue your turn like that until you land in a bucket with no stones. Damn I’ve been playing it like that since I was like 10.
thanks
Wrong teaching
One of the worst games I’ve played. The rules suck and leave a bunch unexplained.
Drx
Thank you! That was so helpful.
*At **1:29**....when you drop your last marble on the opponent's side....since it is empty....can you "capture" the stones across it? (which in essence is your side.)*

Thank you for your video. I've had the game for years without understanding how to play it.
Instructions unclear, ate the stones like candy.
Didn't know somebody wins when picking up a piece to reveal a 4 in a row - thanks for that detail. I still haven't found a complete video showing all scenarios - but this WAS helpful. I just recently found this game at my place, haveing forgot I found a 2nd-hand one at a local thrift shop. Thanks.
What happens if the last stone goes into opponents empty bucket???
She is right and this is a simple straightforward explanation. There are other variations of the same game which makes it confusing.
That is nesting, not stacking
This is so wrong!!
I have lost a red ball. ANyone know how to get a replacement? Also how to get a copy of the rules again?
Bro just like our Sunka
This is the third instructional video I’ve seen on how to play this game and each video was different.
Cordial saludo, Un juego muy interesante, me gustaría que sugirieras un link, donde se puedan encontrar las instrucciones de los juegos, o hacer una descripcíon del juego por escrito. Un saludo especial des mi bella ciudad de cali, Colombia.
This game does not seem exciting.
This did it deed make the game seem very boring. When I was a child I had a disk copy of this game I used to play on a windows 95 computer. It had music, a very nice board, and different backgrounds, marble colors, as well as different difficulty and tournament settings for the AI. I spent hours learning the ins and outs falling into a bit of a trance from the music, aesthetics, and gameplay.
Southeast Asia has many variations of these games, like Chess it spread far and wide. The one in my country Sungka uses tiny seashells and in some occasions pebbles. And we use 7x7 instead of the 6x6 mancala, the ammount of shells/stones is 49 for both sides. Also we go clockwise instead of the traditional counter clockwise.
Thanks!
This is the correct way to play. The other way that people talk about is super broken and gives a major first player advantage.
Anyone else have to win this on poptropica
I just whatched this and this is not how you play. If theses were the rules and both players play optimally then every game is the same and the winner is determined by who goes first. Take your own advice. Read the rules again . And please take this vid down. These rules make no sense
I'm 33 and we were always taught to play going to the left. So looking at the board, the left big cup is my home cup and the large cup on the right is the opponents home cup. This blew my mind that we've been going in the wrong direction for YEARS! 🤣🤣🤣
Great Video! (Jesimiel Millar Fernåndez) 1M1K392
Wow
I didn't understand the last move when she took all the stones from the other side.
Answer the phone
Incomplete instructions!
We just bought this game and we're immediately stumped by pg.3 of the directions which says that if a player conquers a marble they can immediately play again. This means that a player can continue conquering an entire row and the game lasts about 3 minutes. I noticed you didn't do the extra turn here. I think we'll try that way, but it's there a reason you did not take an extra turn after capturing a marble?
You cheating
I hate you
THIS IS HOW YOU PLAY MACALA
You have bad grammar. It’s hard to watch this video because of it.
thanks for teaching me my partner is so mf annoying and makes me play this 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
She’s playing the right way. This is exactly how it is described on the manual if you all bought the damn game. I don’t play like this and never have but I’m reading the Manual and it’s exactly how she’s doing it
Mine has 10
Thank you so much :)

Some historians believe that mancala is the oldest game in the world based on the archaeological evidence found in Jordan that dates around 6000 BCE. The game might have been played by ancient Nabataeans and could have been an ancient version of the modern mancala game.
This was sooo fun we are go to play to.
I grew up playing mancala in your playing it wrong you're not supposed to drop one in the big mancala slot you're supposed to keep going around until you have one being in your hand left and you drop it down and where you drop it whatever if there's a pot a big pile of little stones on the other side of that that's the stones you pick up and put in your mancala spot
Just like sungka. With wooden board and instead of stones, we use tiny seashells.
My math teacher in 8th grade had this in her classroom. The other students and I would play it if we finished our assignments before class ended. Found an old set in my parents house and had to look this up to remember the rules. Thank you. 🙏
