Fascinating. Thank you ❤
I believe the Buddhists version of that symbol represents the life force so the Germans, being Narcissistic psychopaths aka greed insane criminals decided to use it for death powers and their flag blood shit and piss and death colors represent how they do it by going maximum inhumane in all imaginable ways unexpectedly to people who don't think in that manner and their mame Nazis really is not see 🙈 stupidly brilliant is the idea
Does Sabaton count?
I hear you use word "Moose." In Finnish are "Moose" also called "Elk?" Awesome the oldest Finnish tale told in stone carvings, stone paintings, inspired by stars in night sky.
In finnish Moose is Hirvi (alces alces), which has natural habitat in the northern europe. Elk is "canadian moose" in finnish (Cervus canadensis) which is not part of the flora and fauna expect on supermarket's frozen section.
Is that canine even "domesticated?" You ask interesting question in title of this video, along with describing Eastern Ways of participating in battles & wars. If the country knows brutal winters, knows packs of wolves will raid until they are fed, then hunters, farmers, warriors, breed a "Giant Breed" of dog, & more intelligent dog. Finnish Spitz is intelligent noble dog surviving brutal winters.
Fascinating Finnish story. 🇫🇮
The woman/mother is in nuns garb ;does Lemminkainen represent paganism ? Was it the intention of the Catholicism for people to return to paganism or folk culture absent of Christianity more regionally divided smaller groups? Romanism east and west also seems to be the driving force behind the city state as if it were dividing country people from the urban people. Language seems partisan in favor of the urban ideology; with the word urbane possible existing before the word urban. Do you know of any ancient art work of Babylon as the "great city".
-It is plain peasant clothing for women. Married women used to cover their hair after marriage. -Lemminkäinen is a finnish hero/anti-hero in old pagan oral tales that were gathered in 19th century and turned into epic of Kalevala. You can't tell it from english version but they are quite complex poems that were basically sung. Some are creation myths, some are character driven, others are just plain spells. Their age varies and some oldest aspects must be from neolithic, while others are clearly from late middle ages. -I think catholic church was more internested to stop eastern orthodox gaining foothold in the baltic region than teaching the common people. Most of education about catechisms came from travelling monks rather than priests. There is quite clear division line in the 19th century when these poems were finally gathered in written form. The lutheran (reformed) Finland had lost most of their tales, while from orthodox church region still had many poem singers practising their craft in the open. -Urbanism, the hierarchical class structure (realms of the estate), state religion, etc. are quite variable pheonomena that influence each others. Cities were formed by kings and nobles estates (if they had that right from the king), peasants had only certain days of year to sell their products in these cities that were licensed by the upper class. It is a great act of balance to make things work or fall apart. -The most fascinating art work from Babylon is the two-headed eagle that many noble familys took as their crests. It is very internesting symbol of power since eagle hatchlings cannibalize each other, so double-headed eagle would kill itself from natural instinct. Ancient people observed nature constantly, so they must have known that there is only one hatchling in the eagles nest even though they lay many eggs. Did they know that empires are built to self-destruct?
@@Finnishpeasant I've thought that empires were doing that . Almost to carry forth their intentions from the past when they couldn't continue it in their original home land. I hadn't thought of the double headed eagle that way but it makes sense. Have you seen the Lion with the bee in his mouth?
In Poland there was no national church, but the Catholic Church became embodied with the Polish nation. So, the reformed Church wasn't needed at all.
Poland was a medieval kingdom with native nobles that had saturated itself in europen culture for centuries. It makes a huge difference for nation building. Basically, all finnish nobility was foreign born or they adopted the swedish language if they rose to the top echelon of society. It is kind of like in czech where german speaking nobles ended up falling from windows very easily.
Amen ❤
Thank you Jesus
Respectfully disagree. It seems your vision of the right seems to be entirely based on the mainstream "libertarian" types like trump or andrew tate. Let me tell you, there still are plenty of right wingers that are no strangers to all these concepts and openly reject the absolute clown world we're living in, longing for past glory and return to nature. For examples of art, look no further than extreme metal. There's tons of rightwing bands that are supreme masters of their craft and use it perfectly to ewoke these exact ideas. Granted it is mostly through a very destructive and often even dogmatic lense given the natures of both the medium and the many flaws that still preside in even that sphere of thought, but the spirit is most definately there.
You insult me with names like Tate/Trump/Libertarian and you claim you respectfully disagree? Metal music does not have life spirit, it is excactly infertile lite-nihilisms of Nietzsche. That is literally a fairy tale to see it having some sort of harbour of new conservative life.

OK, but you did good work, Joe.

I'm a carpenter specialised in traditional regional architecture, I'm putting up decorated commemorative orthodox crosses at the crossroads around my region and i hope to build in not too distant future reconstruction of a wooden chamber burial mound with decoratively carved interior to raise awareness that my region has more than a 1000 of them. High art is not my story, same as high ideologies, I'm not ideologically suicidal, I want long and peaceful life, all my ideas are about conserving my region and preventing or reverting change in my region, i care for my family first, then for community and region, with huge drop off of investment in country, continent, religion and race thought the last one i do take seriously. I don't care about being remembered as "a solider" with 400k other "a soliders" by people I don't give a fuck about, I want to be remembered by my family and community, on my grave with my remains not blown up and in local history booklet with my full name. Glory is for generals not for peasants.
Glory is one thing, struggle is another. It is the glorification of the common mans struggle that builds nationhood and preserves them. War can be very minor detail for a peasant compared to the nature but necessary... Without this spiritual nationhood, my culture would be defenseless and wiped out under the soviet dictatorship.
I also wouldnt say romantic nationalists dont exist. Main problem is most of nationalists go to STEM unis, you will find that 80% of people there are hardcore nationalists and many dont even care about materialism. You wont see them in Arts because it has become postmodernist circlejerk, everybody knows it and they get away from it like devil from incense. Also there is huge problem with lobbies that are only pushing for modernism, we have huge battle in Croatia in arechitecture guild for that, younger generations are pushing for Historicism in architecture, and most of them are banned and are ridiculed to extreme points.
For painters, art school is quite "new" concept in history. It is only high skilled craft work. Technically, it does not need any institution. Same goes for sculpting. It is quite amazing how retired men from trade jobs and with working class background, can do with their free time when they put their time in it. I saw quite amazing chainsaw sculpting from wood during this summer. It was not made by some art school kids who barely have strenght to lift a chainsaw.
@@Finnishpeasant so so, most of painters in that time were educated in art schools in some prestige places. I know Croatian top artists like Vlaho Bukovac, Čikoš Sesija, Otton Iveković, Ferdo Quiquerez etc were all prodigies of top fine arts schools of time like Vienna, Paris, Munchen, Venice, other schools in Italy and such. Lower level artists were all educated by Church. I dont think you can do fine art without education. But i agree about sculpting it is bit different from painting at that time kt was done in trade schools.
When you dont have education you will end up with something like naive art where art looks like it is made by grade schooler.
@@Finnishpeasant chainsaw sculptures -_- are you serious? You yap on about right wing art and then go and say "yeah the chainsaw sculptures are cool" implying they are sufficient "art" for you. To have the high art you have to study for a decade in school or under a master, or two decades alone. Because the craftwork has a skill cap or skill usefulness bell curve, craftsmen can create great working art, kitsch art but high art from a craftsmen is once in a blue moon. You want great high art but are ignorant of how, how long, how costly, at what skill point and in what environment it has to be made. "Make me fine right wing art now! I don't care about any factors that make it hard, system is evil and future bleak? To make fine right wing art you don't need skill and hope, just make it" And the condescending assumption that there's non, it just doesn't go mainstream, artist painting photorealistic soliders might be skilled and spirtually motivated but it doesn't sell, porn sells, abstraction sells, fantasy sells when was the last time you purchased right wing artist's painting, or at least liked it on Facebook? If you are like the rest of us don't complain. Left wing art is getting shadowy cabbal of sweet baby inc like companies, Soroses and Schwabes funding, government and corporate support while right wing is left alone in the gutter. There are no king paying for paintings to the glory of the nation, or at least greek institutions or millionaires making financially sure that Cleopatra has right skin color. You're a goofball.
@@engineer1941 But most of the golden age artist in Finland received their education through apprenticeship training especially the ones from peasant class. The painters like Edelfeldt studied history and languages in university instead of "art". I have met many of these "liberal" students in my lifetime and even after receiving their degree. They have never read a single philosophical book or have even rudementary knowledge about history. I would say today, it is even easier to study these "humanistic" studies without institution.
Croatian nationalisam strived under Habsburgs. Our nationalist painters sculptors etc had huge support from house of Habsburg. They were even on good terms with Party of Rights which was biggest nationalist party in Croatia.
Good court politics can carry a long way. The painter (Edelfeldt) was also in good terms with Romanov family but at the same time pulled Finland away from their hands.

Nicely succinct. I would point to the historical circumstances that gave the 'right' an inherent Romantic creative energy they have yet to re-experience, but I am not sure if that is entirely applicable to this video or correct.
Always point out for what I have left out if you come across my videos again.
The best of them got censored to hell. One of whom I'm thinking of, their entire point was idealism/romantisim. Being more abstract, specifically with visual art, is even more necessary in today's environment do to "nations" no longer holding physical form like they used to. Paintings of soldiers today doesn't hold the same spiriual power as they used to. You just remember that they aren't fighting for a people, but for dis-loyal powers that would see their own kind destroyed if profitable.

@@Finnishpeasant I'm trying to not be a nihilist about it. I was trying to say that the art that will be needed might need to be more abstract and higher to counter the current situation of the world.
@@CptTexas1 I made that comment about the last statement, where soldiers aren't fighting for the people. That is not true, at least in the case of my cultural sphere.

I don't understand what you are referring to? You seem to reply to an argument that I did not make.
@Finnishpeasant I mean that right wing artist do exist and they make art, that's all, that art may be not explicitly right wing, but it is still art
@@Hog_enjoyer My argument is more about that there is no "high" art anymore and how nationalists created the whole golden age of art at the turn of 19th century.
Because the left is gatekeeping the institutions. Its hard to build a grand opera house wichcombines elements of the last 2000 years of wester culture when all the lefties who decide about such matters want a concret block. Its hard to get your classical music or art piece of the ground if all that is demanded is a deconstruction of those themes. Make no mistake, either we rid ourselfes from leftism in its entirety or they will allways come back through the academic institutions and go for the cultural hegemony again.
I would make an argument that post-modernity has already soaked the pillars of right wing ideology and it is just as uselles in creating art as the modern left. There is desire for money, video games and pornography from young males that seem to carry the flags of right currently.
Architecture is art and the right are the only ones talking about how our modern box structures suck. The left takes a literal physical shit in a golden toilet and gaslight us by claiming it to be art. FInally, someone who got the point. I would label all those terms under the index of spirituality.
most persons would agree that most every progressive movement and ideal are considered "leftism" ... and most persons would agree that most every conservative movement is considered "rightism" ... most persons would agree that progressive is the desire to "change the order of things" while conservative is the desire "to maintain the order of things"... and thus the two movement will clash... thus the right will tend to glorify the past and the left will glorify the future... (and thus it creates conflicts between the older generation against the younger generation)... the solution is to create forums and rational discussion for collaborations to define the problem, devise and implement a solution to the problem and reflect on the result of the solution... in my opinion, the overall "core" issue is the transfer of power/authority/ leadership/culture from one generation to the next generation ... this issue is not new and is part of human nature... a culture/people/nation and a person can rise above their animal primal nature with the gifts which God has given us to examine, analyze, with intellect and reason to make proper decisions and actions... but alas, there are so many variables to the problem/issues that conflict continually occurs and pain and suffering occurs because any solution can not encompass every problem and thus some person will be harmed by implementing change or by not implementing change... in the end there will always be "winners" and "losers"... a good society tries to eliminate/minimize the losses but that means minimizing the gains as well and thus society loses the potential for greatness and will die... each new generation will face this issue as eventually they become the old generation... it is the "clash of the gods"... and "turtles all the way down"

The problem for right wingers when it comes to art is that they have almost by definition conservative and authoritarian tendencies. Both these ideologies seek to maintain systems and resist change. Artists as a general rule are creative, they tend to think outside the current systems or limitations of the world they live in if for no other reason than to elicit the excitement of new things in their work. The same thing repeated over and over gets boring. So it’s not that right wingers can’t do art it’s that their ideological framework acts as a self imposed handicap in creating art that is appealing to more people. This is why most artists, actors, entertainers or creatives have a strong left wing bias, they just find it easier to do art that people find engaging and will thus pay for. Because of this ideological slant among artists they tend to critique established systems and power structure. That is something right wingers don’t like and so in response tend to crack down on artistic expression which causes the art created under them to generally be uninteresting or otherwise gets siloed off into becoming propaganda.
"right" and "left" are basically very modern class systems.
I punched up a whole less-intelligent version of what you said here before I saw this. Agreed, chuds would kill any good artistic expression with their angry purity spirals and intolerance for anything different. @@Finnishpeasant You must remain true to yourself. Do you have any insight why the Kalavela is so very different (at least in English translation) from Norse or Germanic sagas?
@@4outof5dentistsagree Good question. The main difference is the baltic origin for the tales that have mixed with many eastern hunter gatherer beliefs. Baltic was the last bastions of paganism in europe. The oral story telling has had time "cook" little bit longer. It is also almost impossible to translate Kalevalian poetry to english. I like the english version of Kalevala but it id very different to the original work. Kalevalian poems can only rhyme in strict rules so that they can be memorized. The words can have multiple meanings that can be translated to english. It is a very hard read for even a native finnish speaker.
