I saw an alouette display at the gwelo show, live, from about 50 feet (1980) Amazing if not super dangerous to the gathered crowd. I remember the distinctive sound of them flying over the house at 5am heading to eastern ops a few years before that.

Great pilots and spectacular machine, one of the best in the world.....I make my qualification in AEROSPATIALE !!!!

Ähm hier klappt es wohl, das Triebwerk direkt zu Starten. Wieso werden, des öfteren die Triebwerke erst beim zweiten Versuch gestartet. Ich kenne es aus der Militär Zeiten. Erst ein Jaulen der Turbine, Startabbruch, dann ein erneuter Versuch und das Triebwerk Läuft hoch. Kann mir einer sagen, was da Abläuft.

We have a squad of Merlins EH-101..these are still remains of the Colonial War...we had about 150,now we have 20 or 30 tops.

@Meggaflash That's another one of execs machines, an EC120 as seen again @ 9.12 The GASU arrived a little later that evening after I had left AFAIK

sorry in this video when your taking off there is another helicopter @2.12 is that the GASU EC 135 or a different helicopter type?
